With the new semester, new students were stumbling to become accustomed to a new school and an entirely new experience. Sonya was no exception to this. She clutched the straps of her backpack and glanced up at the main school building with sparkling eyes. "No way!" She exclaimed. "This looks exactly like the building from Bloodsuckers II!" She glanced around with a grin. "And if that's the case... that means there has to be some vampires here." Gasp. "Maybe I'll even have some as classmates and not even realise it! This is soooo cool!"

Other students were staring at her and muttering how she needed to calm down and other such remarks. One upperclassman scoffed and commented on how she must be a freshman and then went on to rant to his friend about how stupid some people could be.

Pierce grumbled as he looked at the building, having to return for the next semester. His lady friend and he had not spoken after their encounter in the dorm room. Now he had to see not only her but all the other annoying students. His eyes caught sight of the freshman talking to herself, speaking a little too loudly. "Speaking of annoying..." He grumbled to himself before he kept walking on, shutting his eyes and rubbing the bridge of his nose. He noted to himself that he really needed to get more sleep, if he hadn't he would regret it for the rest of the semester. Suddenly, he found himself bumping hard into someone and falling down to the floor. He looked up and glared, finding it was the excited girl who must have been bouncing around. "Watch where you're going.."

The abrupt encounter also had caught Sonya by surprise. It took her a moment to regain her composure and adjust her glasses. It was not until Pierce spoke until she realised what happened. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" She knelt down to the stranger and offered her hand to assist him up. "I didn't notice you... It's just so exciting to be here." She made sweeping motion with her hand to refer to the campus. "Is this your first time here? Did you also come here because of the stories about this place? Did you know that- ..." It didn't even a minute for Sonya to start barraging Pierce with a million questions without giving him a chance to respond. She then stopped for a second to take a deep breath in. "Oh, oh!" The moment of silence didn't last long. "I almost forgot!" She extended a hand and grinned widely. "My name is Sonya, I am a first year student and..." She winked as her grin widened. "A paranormal expert. Ask me anything, and I can give you an answer."

Pierce watched her adjust the glasses, noting a small level of cute in her. That was until she began to speak again. He stayed silent and dusted himself off while keeping his eye on her, not even bothering to try and barge in. When she finally introduced herself, he gave a small smirk at the momentary silence the two had. "I'm Pierce. It's alright, I've been here for a year and a half already.."

"Really?" Sonya continued to awkwardly stare at Pierce, her mouth slightly agape as if something about his presence fascinated her. Perhaps it was because, having been on campus longer than her, he would be her key to all the juicy secrets about the school. "Since you've been here for awhile, you must know... The stories..." She then beckoned him closer before whispering, "You know, about the students that attend the nearby campus. They try to say that the buildings are abandoned and dangerous for humans, but it's just an excuse for us not to venture there." Sonya scoffed slightly to express disbelief. She then continued with a line of questions. "Have you ever been there? Or, better yet, can you tell me if you've ever run into..." She paused for a moment before speaking in a voice that sounded way more eager than it should have been. "One of them? The other students that aren't humans, I mean."

Pierce narrowed his eyes. "Freshman right? Did you not read all the way into your packet in that invitation to the school?" He put his hands on his knees and bent down to her, mockingly. "You're being played. A lot of the older students like to tease the freshman, make them feel like the packet lied. One building has nothing but werewolves and the other is vampires. You can openly say the words, it's alright. There's also plenty of places that you can bump into them, but you won't often see them change in front of you. They're under strict instructions to behave themselves unless they're in their designated areas." He rubbed his head a little, remembering his vampire companion. "Just be careful. They're quick to get your attention." He scoffed and began to walk away.

Sonya nodded to indicate she was a freshman. With each sentence Pierce said, the look on her face only became more eager. It was the longest time she was quiet since the two had met; her mind was already racing with thoughts. As Pierce began to walk away, Sonya swung her bag in front of her to quickly pull out a small voice recorder. She turned it on with a soft 'click' and waited for the whirling sound before speaking into the mic, "Beginning phase one of plan alpha. I will update later..." She purposely altered her tone to make it sounds more dramatic, "That is, assuming I survive to tell the tale. Sonya signing out." She clicked it out and threw the recorder back into her bag. "So long orientation; I'm going to get the real college experience starting now!" She then dashed off towards the wall, showing full intent of scaling it to reach the other campus.

OOC: SHE HAS A VOICE RECORDER OMG THIS GIRL XD

Pierce continued to walk until he heard the click and the whirling sound. "No..." He made a scowling face and slowly turned to see her mumbling into her tape recorder with too much excitement in her eyes. "What is with this girl.." He whispered to himself as he watched her. He felt bad for her parents, wondering if they had been eager for her teen years to only find out she was still just as full of energy. He closed his eyes and rubbed the bridge of his nose a bit, trying to grasp the situation he just had to see before he heard a sudden dash past him. He opened his eyes and saw her running towards the other walls, then shook his head. Pierce made just as quick of a run at her, then tackled her down, holding her hands down with his legs gripping her waist. "Are you trying to get yourself killed!?"

Two male students and a female student then made their way towards them. "Hey! What's the deal man!?" One male said, while the other came and immediately tugged off Pierce. The female moved towards Sonya and helped her up. "Are you okay? Should we notify the campus security?" "Of what? He's just a human, we can take care of him ourselves.."

Sonya grunted as she hit the ground with a soft thud. One would expect a person to be mad at just being tackled down by someone, but not this girl. She got this obnoxious looking smile on her face as she looked up at Pierce. "Wow, you're amazing! I can't believe you managed to catch me!" She had been part of the track team in her younger years and to this day would continue her physical activities, making her faster and with more endurance than most other people she met. When Pierce ignored her comment to ask a question, she began, "I know what I'm doing, I'm always prepared for- ..." The arrival of the other students stopped her train of thought. When the other female helped her off, Sonya took a moment to dust herself off. "I'm okay, he just caught me by surprise." An honest reply. "I just never thought he would resort to something like that. You see, we frequently have races in order to see who is better than the other." A lie, but she couldn't think of any other way to make it seem innocent. Sexual assault and abuse are pretty serious offenses for students, and the last thing she wanted is her new companion to be expelled. "I guess he just got tired of losing to a girl, so his last option was to stun me long enough to gain a lead." She flashed a grin before the last words the other students said met her ears. "Just a human... we can take care of him..." She repeated softly to herself before jumping up and clenching her fists to keep her hands from shaking. "Wait, wait, wait! Are you guys not human?!" Not being anything special, she could not read presences. She could only ID things based on stereotypes and what she had read or seen in books and movies.

The female could see she was quite the talkative girl, smiling a little and laughing. "Well alright then..So long as that's all it was." She looked back at the guys who stopped and looked at her. "No, we're human...We just have to know who we can fight with.." "Because you know...the other creatures would clearly rip us to shreds.." The female student patted Sonya's back. "It's alright..we'll be on our way.." The guys turned to Pierce and helped him up before the three walked off. Pierce watched them before turning back to Sonya and dusting himself off a little. "Good lie.."

"Thanks. I would have hated to see you get in trouble over that." Sonya smiled, thinking how it was convenient he hadn't protested or denied her words. "There no reason for my newest friend to be thought of as a person who attacks unsuspecting woman." She winked and then turned to walk towards the main building, figuring that was enough excitement for now. The other campus would have to wait.

Pierce felt his eye twitch as he heard the word 'friend' used to describe his relationship to Sonya. He groaned a little to himself and let her walk quite a bit ahead before he also began to move towards the building.

It was a couple of hours before Sonya reemerged from the building. She had already managed to sneak away from her group since the whole thing had been so boring to her. She had done her research, so why did she need to listen to some people tell her the same exact info she had gotten earlier? She glanced around to see that the surrounding area was nearly empty, save for a few people roaming around to get to their next class. She used this as an opportunity to do a bit of exploring, often ducking behind bushes and behind trees as if she were play some sort of game. Once behind a partially large tree, she pulled her voice recorder out and narrated, "Previous phase was aborted due to a minor set back; plans have resumed and nothing will stop me now. Sonya signing out." She placed her recorder back before dashing over to the wall. She pressed a palm to it and looked up. She snorted. "Too high. I'll have to find another way around."

Pierce happened to head back out of the school again after class was over. His eyes kept forward as he moved to a certain tree, resting against it. He slowly closed his eyes and placed his head against the tree, until he heard the familiar snap and whirling sound, then the voice. "No.." He whispered to himself before very carefully turning around to peek by the tree. He watched her begin to climb the wall and shook his head. "She still doesn't know that there are other places to actually meet them.."
