Well this was going to get made at one point, anywhere you would like to see the next game be made? Anywhere you think (based on hints given in FO3) that it may be made?
The Commonwealth seems like it might be a likely location for the next game, although I think Ronto would be a cool location its hard to see them leaving the US for the game series.

I think if they dared to go out of the US they would likely hit up Bejing as China was the enemy of the US.

From what I heard the source on that "news" was Reddit... that is kinda like assuming what you read on 4chan is 100% accurate.
Its still rumour, and trust me Bethesda is good at keeping secrets, they might be looking around at Boston however they likely have people at other locations as well. They likely have not even started the work on the game other then looking at potential locations.

The news didn't start on reddit it started on twitter with a dude that created a new account titeled fallout4 he said he had an inside voew of bethesda softworks and knew it was going to be there.... Also I believe they started it a long time ago look at skyrim and the six year period they took for it to come out.... I think the will use the same engine but it prolly wont be out untill next gen consoles are out.

As much as everyone that loved Fallout wants another game, many need to look at what happened with TES, HUGE gap, so I would expect that. I personally can wait but the rumours are still flying. I don't know if I buy the whole Boston thing though.

kcbeach28 Yea i wouldn't believe nothing untill Bethesda says so but you never know maby it will be boston.... Bethesda does play on rumours and what not they place in their games. Boston area was mentioned a fair bit but I found that in Oblivion Summerset Isles was mentioned much more often then Skryim and they went north, so the same could happen here.

(side note, i was one of the ppl believing the Skyrim rumours, although I was surprised about the 200 yr gap) Fallout related, they had a fair bit in Boston, mention of Ronto (Toronto), but I can't recall other locations.

Greetings;
I for one would like it if they were to finish Van Buren. Maybe even redo Fallout 1 and 2. I know that there was another game that there was in the works for the fallout series, though I cannot for the life of me remember the name...Had something to do with a faction, travelling further and further out towards china, I believe. Not sure, though I seem to recall that Dave as in the Republic of Dave in Fallout 3 was supposed to be some sort of a throw-back to that.
But again, from what I have read, Van Buren sounded pretty awesome. Just too bad they never finished it. What was it, like 80-someting percent finished when the project was scrapped? But then again, how far along was Oblivion for the PSP when Bethesda tossed it away for Fallout 3? I had seen still for it, Beta versions, looked good even in those stages...So much potential...Possibilities...
Thank you...

If you read over Van Buren, many of its story points appear in Fallout New Vegas, which isn't surprising concidering that Obsidian did the develeopment for that game and had several former employees that worked on FO1 and 2. As for a remake, I suspect that won't happen as there is a lot of work into that and not nessicarily a lot of pay out. The only other Fallout project I am aware of that was scrapped was Fallout Online, also refered to as FOOL. Although another dev under ZeniMax is going ahead with a TES Online, I think that might be the end of the road for FO Online. I am also unaware of its over all story, Interplay had been doing it until Bethesda finally crushed the project due to lack of progress (and a long legal fight).

Greetings; Oh I am aware that a lot of he story points appear in New Vegas. I was thinking more about that whole disease that the Chinese were developing either a a response to FEV or that FEV was being made to help counter-act. There was this scientist who was planning on making that stuff air-borne and essentially wiping out the earth again, giving his selected group another chance at starting over. Purging the majority, as they were intended to be in his eyes. And that game I mentioned was something I read about once on the Fallout Wiki. There are actually a number of other incomplete games out there, there was another brotherhood of steel game that was being proposed. I don't remember how much of a story line there was finished but still. It exists in some form or another. There is some bit of it as a mythos for the fallout world. Thank you...

Ah your refering to those games, I had forgotten about them. There was to be another Fallout:Brotherhood of Steel game as well as another Fallout Tactics game (which was to take place in Florida with mutated crocs and the like). The worst part is that it was because the publisher had screwed themselves over they canceled things like this. Simply because they were short sighted, oddly enough after Beth made FO3 popular again, they actually tried to use the lawsuits to shut down FO:Online, as a means to say Beth broke the contract so they could take ownership back. Funny how they couldnt do more then let it die slowly but wanted it back after it was saved.
