Along the nearest shore to the decepticon base is a lesser used human road. Once having been a highway, since construction of a bigger, faster freeway, this road has been reduced to one of those scenic routes. This makes for a good patroling and ambush areas for the decepticons as there is rockslide areas and large patces of overgrowing trees and bushes.

Rolling down the road on patrol duty, Hard Drive hardly considered it patrol duty. If anything it was more a relaxing drive after being cramped up in the decepticon base for so long. Plus he'd grown to like some of the rock 'n' roll music of earth and tended to listen to it when other decepticons weren't around. The only thing that could make this outing better would be to see some combat action. Hard Drive was begining to fear his skills were getting rusty.

Star Scream flew over head. He was bored and would head to the base, set the coordinates for Earth on the Space Bridge and would soon be out of here. His jets left streams behind him and he twisted and turned, bored out of his robotic mind.

Hard Drive heard the screeching roar of jet engines and knew right away whom it was. He sends over the coms "and what brings our esteemed air commander out on this lonely patrol route. Couldn't find any bots to terrorize, or did you get on Megatron's bad side again and this is punishment?" He couldn't help but speak in a sacastic tone. The two never really got along and Hard Drive never tried. He always thought the air commander was too arrogant and foolish, and made a point of letting Starscream know it.

Star Scream groaned. "That's none of your business..."He replied in a haughty tone. "But I am heading for the Computer to program the space bridge...."He swooped low, flying a little slower, but still too fast and had to turn around a few times. "There is nothing to patrol out here..." He complained.

Hard Drive chuckles some and says "That's part of it's appeal." He then stops at a turn off spot and transforms into his towering form and asks Starscream "And why exactly are you heading off to the space bridge. Since I've been put on security detail for now, even things like transit to and from both the base and earth, are things I need to be appraised of."

Star Scream flew over again, then transformed landing on his mechanical feet, wings outstretched behind him. "And who said I had to answer to you?" He asked, stretching out his neck servos.

Hard Drive crossed his arms over his chest, his shoulder mounted blasters trained on Starscream. "You forget Starscream. My order all come direct from Megatron. So unless you want to go out of your way to annoy our leader, I suggest you tell me where you're going." Were it not for his battle face plate covering the lower half of his face, Starscream would see a smirk on his face.

StarScream snorted his arm mounted gun pointed as his fellow decepticon. "Just wait. I will be leader." He replied, glaring. "I will, just waiting for Megatron to falter." He took a step forward. "And I am going to the Space Bridge" He replied, again, really not wanting to be followed to Earth while he caused havoc. The spoils should go to him alone.

With surprizing speed one arm shot out and grabbed the arm of Starscream that was pointed at him and suddenly hoisted the air commander up level with his own optics. "Quit kidding yourself Starscream, even if Megatron does fall, whom would really follow a coward like you. You don't even have the barrings to properly challenge him for the right to lead. And if you think I'm following you as leader, thinking again. Now where...are...you...going?"

StarScream struggled. "And how would you know?" He asked, growling impatiently. "Just you wait. Megatron will FALL!" he yelled, swinging his arm gun ahead. "And you all will follow me. Just wait!" He swallowed hard, his optics wide, not liking this at all.

Hard Drive's hand closed slowly over Starscream's arm till the metal began to groan from the pressure. "You should count yourself lucky Megatron still considers you of any worth. Otherwise I'd slag you here and now. Now if you want to keep your arm, I suggest you tell me where you're going."

Star Scream let out a mechanical wail. He closed his photo-receptors and sighed. He would not defeat Megatron dead. "I just wanna use the Space Bridge to send out a signal...last time the Autobots showed up. I am bored." He replied. "I am a scientist what nothing to do."

Hard Drive narrowed his optics before saying "I'm gonna accompany you, just to make sure you don't try anything funny." He releases Starscream then transforms back into his Armored transport alt mode.

StarScream gave a deep frown and transformed back into his jet and took off, doing a loop then headed for the space bridge. He was bored and was thinking if he went back to his lab he might be able to think something up. He remained silent, upset, and was running his processor non-stop.
