Bio: Dean Winchester was born on January 24, 1979 to John and Mary Winchester in Lawrence, Kansas. He is the couple's first child, four years older than his younger brother Sam. He is named after his maternal grandmother, Deanna Campbell. When he was only four years old on November 2, 1983, his mother Mary was killed in Sam's nursery by the demon Azazel. Infant Sam is saved by the ensuing fire when his father takes him out of his crib and gives him to four-year-old Dean, who then carries him outside while their father unsuccessfully tries to rescue their mother. After that night Dean felt responsible for Sam, and was always given the job to take care of him while they were growing up. Dean's father John raised him and Sam as hunters of the supernatural. During Dean's childhood John would be away "hunting" a week or two at a time, so Dean had to partly raise Sam.

Other: He doesn't express his emotions very well.

Bio: Sam was born on May 2, 1983 to John and Mary Winchester in Lawrence, Kansas. He is the focal character of the series. He is the couple's second child, four years younger than his older brother Dean. He is named after his maternal grandfather, Samuel Campbell.

When Sam was only six months old on November 2, 1983, his mother Mary was killed in his nursery by the demon Azazel, whom his mother walked in on while he was standing by Sam's crib, feeding him demon blood. Infant Sam is saved from the ensuing fire when his father takes him out of his crib and gives him to a four year old Dean, who then carries him outside while their father unsuccessfully tries to rescue their mother.

Sam and Dean spent their childhood moving from town to town every few weeks while their father hunted supernatural beings and their mother's killer. Until the age 8, Sam believed that his mother had died in a car accident and his father was a traveling salesman, until Dean revealed to him the existence of the paranormal. Sam apparently started hunting alongside his brother and father around the age of twelve, however, he began wanting a normal life without monsters, and later in his life a teacher of his encouraged him to carve his own life instead of following the "family business" after reading Sam's story about him and his family killing a werewolf. At one point while his father and brother were hunting a Kitsune and he was doing research for them, Sam met Amy Pond and they developed an interest in each other until Sam learned her mother was the creature Dean and John sought. Rather than let her mother harm Sam, Amy killed her and Sam let her escape, covering the whole incident up. Time passed and after a heated argument with his father, Sam eventually went to Stanford University, thus leaving his family and their hunting crusade behind him.


Other: His late girlfriend was killed by the same demon that killed his mother.

Name: Emily van Gruet

Personality: She is a firey young woman and tends to ignore those with authority over her. She is intelligent, calculating, but sometimes acts soley on emotion. She also has very little self confidence.

Bio: Emily grew up in a quiet suburb outside Chicago. Her mother died in a terrible car accident. Her father did his best to raise her by himself. Emily had a twin brother that supposedly died shortly after their birth. She knows a lot about guns and cars because her mom died early on in Emily's life and was raised by her father. She has also taken a liking to painting and is quite good at it. Emily refuses to listen to anything other than rock music. Her prized possesion is her black Firebird with silver racing stripes. She also has a Ducati Superbike.

Other: She likes cars, guns, adventure, and meat. She doesn't like chick flicks or tofu. Family is supposedly cursed by an ancient demon.
