Damien kicked a rock in the street, thinking about nothing. His mind was blank as he stared into space. He had no friends. His childhood was messed up by his drunk father. A small, sinister smile crossed his face as he remembered turning into a Demon that night, a creature of blood and different kinds of monster. He remembered walking up to his home, ringing the doorbell. He remembered his father answering the door, seeing it was him, and slapping him. He remembered pulling his father down to the ground, and beating him up with his powers. He shivered as he thought of his father's screams as Damien let out all of his anger out on him, not realizing how bad he was hurting him until it was too late. He had ran from the house, not wanting to remember his father's dead, corpse-like eyes forever. But it was too late, he remembered every single detail. He was a monster, but he learned to deal with it quickly. He hadn't seen his mother since he was a baby, and she would have died a long time ago anyway. He smirked and shrugged. She was a b***h for leaving them. All humans were stupid, weak creatures. He didn't want anything to do with them. He continued walking the street alone, thoughts now plugging up his mind.

Della walked the now empty streets alone. She was thinking about how even just an hour ago, everything was bustling and everyone was busy doing something. She loved those times because now she just felt alone.
Her parents hadn't seen the on-coming car and they were side swiped. Della's parents ended up being in the hospital for weeks; she died on impact. Her parents, family, friends were awfully sorry that she was gone, but soon enough she'd just become a memory.
Being an angel has its perks though. One being that she can roam the world forever. However, being immortal also means you get really lonely at times. Like now.

Damien sighed as he glanced up and saw an entrance to a park only feet away. He took the silent offer, going inside of the gate and closing it behind him loudly. He sat down on a bench, and buried his head in his hands. He had no idea what to do. He felt lonely, even though he didn't want to admit it. He ran a hand through his hair, sitting up again as he stared at the vacant playground.

Della pushed back her negative thoughts and concentrated on the happiness she usually felt. While passing the playground, she remembered watching the kids play earlier. Now instead of kids, there was a boy, well more like a man sitting on one of the benches. Della couldn't see him completely but she didn't want to just pass by him if he needed help. She approached him carefully as to not scare him off.
"Excuse me, but are you alright?"

Damien wasn't fazed by the girl, just glanced up at her and smirked. "I'm fine. Why do-" He stopped as he noticed her pale skin, and the graceful way she walked. She was beautiful, but he narrowed his eyes as he got up. "You aren't human," He noted. He took a step towards her, curious.

Della took a few steps back to the man's one step forward. There was something off about him, but she couldn't pin point what. It wasn't until she felt her hands trembling that Della realized she was afraid.
"I...I don't know what you mean."

Damien smirked at her innocent act. "I think you know exactly what I mean," He said quietly, his eyes flashing. "Show me your true self," He demanded, his eyes growing angrier as he was not being able to figure out what she was easily.

Della cringed at his words and it was then that she realized what he was. The years of reading ancient text had been good to her. She straightened her stance and looked him in the eye. Even though she was still afraid there was no way she'd keep showing it. Her white wings slowly emerged from her back.
"You're not human either, are you?"

Damien tilted his head, watching her stance become stronger and her fear melt away, or at least she chose to hide it from him. He grinned, knowing she was still cautious about him. He was thrown off by her words, watching her with narrowed eyes once again, his lips coming together in a firm line. "Your clever," He murmured with another wicked smile. He took another step towards her. He was only a few inches away now, watching her beautiful blue, almost purple eyes. He saw the wings come out from behind her back.
He glanced at them, gritting his teeth. "Your an...angel." He said the word with disgust, his eyes flashing dangerously, finally turning red with color, showing his true self without hesitation. His fists curled as he thought of the way he was thrown out of Heaven, and here she was, a gorgeous white angel. His arm snaked out and grabbed her wrist, his eyes going back to their original hidden green color.
"No, I am not human." He answered her earlier question, nodding. He watched her, still having a grip on her arm. He didn't tighten his hand on her wrist, nor did he loosen it. He wanted to see what she would do.

Della frowned at the way he said angel, but she knew why he would say it like that. She was off put when he grabbed her wrist and instinctively tried to wriggle away. "U-Unhand me demon!" she shouted. She twisted her wrist every which way and eventually freed herself, although while doing so she lost her footing and fell to the ground.
She now looked up at the demon boy, whose eyes were green again, but she had the look of pity on her face. The thought of someone choosing to follow the evil in their heart was more than Della could comprehend.
She stood and wiped off her dress and then spoke again. "Exactly what do you want from this community?"

Damien flinched when she shouted at him, the three words that she said to him stirring in his memories. His mother had said the exact same thing when he had tried to come in, when he had touched her, grabbing her arm and begging for her to let him stay. ___________________________________________________ "You are not my son anymore," She said quietly, fear making her voice shake slightly. He shook his head, horrified at the thought. He knew the darkness would completely take over his heart soon, but he didn't want to think about any of that. He just wanted to come home. "Mom..I'm the same person you know...just with..different colored eyes." His Mom had always been superstitious, and it didn't help that she was terrified by the color red, the color of blood, she said. The color that his eyes were.
He had left the house that night in emotional pain, his heart hurting with thoughts of his mother, when she used to love him. Now that he was a Demon, a creature of the night, she shunned him. ______________________________________________ He blinked out of the reverie, which only lasted a few seconds. He saw her on the ground, but didn't move to help. He also didn't touch her again. He turned away, blinking in a confused way when she spoke to him again, wondering what she wanted for the answer to her question. He turned back around, his eyes flashing, but this time from regret. "I-I don't know. I just come and go. I just..." He gritted his teeth, anger coming over him once again. His heart told him to let her go, to not talk to her again. He now saw that she had stood up, and he stared at her for a moment with his human green, cat like eyes, mostly sad, even though his features showed that he was angry.

Della looked at the man whose demeanor had changed slightly. She had been taught to show compassion to everyone, especially to the ones that might have lost their way.
She approached him slowly, but stayed just out of his grasp. "What is your name?" she said, her voice softer than before.

Puzzled by her face, which had softened slightly, he sighed at her question. Thoughts came over him on what to say, and he bit his lip, trying to squash them down. His face filled with different emotions. He hated being like this! He ran a hand through his hair, not knowing what to say. "Why do you care?" He finally snapped. "Your an...angel. Our kind kills yours, so why are you showing..." He hesitated before he said, "Why are you being nice to me all of a sudden?"
