Mai jumped and rolled around in the freshly fallen snow. It sure was fun to play in whatever this stuff was. It was a bit cold but that didn't seem to phase her. It had invaded her little hollow she made her home in during the night. She would not be returning to there she would need to find a warmer place to sleep now. But right now she was content running around in it. She snapped at an unlucky snow flake as it fell to the earth. She waved her tail happily before pouncing head first into the snow. Now all that could be seen of the girl was her tail end sticking out of the snow, her tail waving like a flag.

"Snow?" He wasn't used to snow, his eyes flicking about restlessly. Ah, it was falling from the sky, too. What was this strange whiteness around him? Blue eyes watched a drop of snow fall upon the ground, tail flicking side to side contently.
It hadn't been to long since he finally grew into a man. He barely remembered the days of being a bowl, though they had seemed long. He remembered meeting someone, Maikoa was her name? He remembered not minding when she touched him. Then she grew. He hadn't seen her since.
As he walked he spotted a tail sticking from the snow, wiggling as if stuck. "Oh no! Let me help you out!" Quickly he began to dig, revealing the girl and tilting his head.
She looked familiar..

Mai wiggled then sat on her rear. She eyed Chamber with a calculating eye before sniffing him. She had left her notebook and pen at Winter's house. She had been learning from her how to write and read. She tilted her head to the side as if thinking how to speak to him. She got a cute look on her face as if a light blub came on in her head. She got up then bounced along as she used her paws to write in the snow. Hello Chamber. You are big now! She then sat down once more and gave him a big smile.

"Huh?"
He blinked at her, watching her paws in the snow. Watching, he blinked once more, looking up. "Maikoa? Is that you?" He asked, tail flicking side to side. "It really is, isn't it?" Joyfully, the purple male rushed to her, hugging the vixen close to him. A surge of her emotions rushed through him, nothing bad though... That was good. Releasing her he felt that familiar silence, her emotions gone and her own now.
"Eh? Big? Oh. Yea.... I kinda did, didn't I?" Laughing slightly, he adjusted his armor slightly, smiling brightly at her. "So did you, I never got to actually see you as a Bowl, you know, lack of much vision. You're really pretty."

Mai would be purring happily at the hug if she could make a sound. It was nice to have him big now. They could actually do things together now. She pouted a bit when he let her go. She liked the warm feeling of him. She grabbed her tail and hid her face behind it. She peeked through the fur with a shy look on her face. He thought she was pretty.
She shyly dropped her tail then wrote in the snow again. Thank you. You are pretty too. She was blushing but it did not show through her purple fur. She needed to get her notebook and pen. It would be easier to talk to him that way. It must be strange for him to finally see the girl that snuggled up with him as a bowl. She sat down in the snow, the look on her face clearly reading that she was thinking. Maybe he would not want to be around her. Being that she wasn't a normal girl. She really hated her real mother. It was cause of her she was this way. A look of anger and frustration crossed her face.

When Chamber went to touch her he recoiled as his paw brushed hers. She was angry, it was a hot, painful emotion. Frowning briefly, he sat as close as he could tolerate, head tilting.
"Are you mad at me?" He asked softly, ears drifting back. "I looked everywhere for you, Mai. I couldn't find you, neverless I didn't know what you looked like...either. Please, please forgive me."

Mai blinked looking at Chamber her anger subsiding. How could he think she was angry with him? He was one of the few who accepted her. Maybe someone who could love her as at least a sister. She shook her head. She could never be angry with him. She scratched one of her ears. She wanted to explain why she was upset. She flopped her tail back and forth with a puzzling look on her face. This would not do she would just need to go to Winter and get her notebook and pen.
She got up then pawed at Chamber doing a jerking motion with her head. She hoped he would understand she wanted him to follow her. She turned and bounded off. Stopping a few feet away she looked over her shoulder and jerked her head in the direction she wanted to go.

Nodding, he rose. Briefly he smiled, happy she had shaken her head no. Or so he believed. He missed the days where he was a bowl and could hear her voice... Then again this was fine, too, for this was who she was and he would always accept who she was. Never would he want her to be something she wasn't.
Though, it had been convient for talking, but connivence didn't matter that much. Standing, he began to follow her, tail briefly touching hers. He hated touching, but he had always been drawn to touching those he cared just to make sure they were happy.

Mai started trotting through the snow. She looked over and smiled at Chamber then playfully pushed against him. She led him through streets and down sidewalks before finally stopping in front of a small house. She padded up to the door then pawed at it. Then sat on the front step patiently.
The door was soon opened by Winter. "Mai! What are you doing here?" She exclaimed before taking notice of Chamber. "Ohhh have you brought a friend?" She smiled at Chamber. "Hello, I'm Winter, Mai's adoptive mother. I'm surely pleased to meet you." She gave him a warm smile.

Watching the door, he smiled at Mai. Good, she was happier. Then the door opened. He was faintly grateful that the woman hadn't offered to shake his paw, tail flicking side to side and flashing her a warm, friendly, sweet smile.
"Hello. I'm Chamber, Maikoa's friend." He mused back, tail touching Mai's briefly. Good, Winter didn't make her sad. Now a wider smile touched his lips, head tilting. "Pleasure to meet you, too."

Mai gave Winter a smile then started making signs with her paws. The signs were rapid and fluid. She had learned sign language with Winter also. Course she still didn't have a home. Winter had a small home and had Scootaloo with her. So there wasn't room here to have her own room. She finally stopped with the rapid gestures before following Winter into the house.
Winter signed back much slower. She hadn't picked it up as easily as the mute girl. But then again she didn't have to use it all the time either. "Come on in Chamber. Mai wants to get her notebook and pen so she can talk to you easier."
"Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai!" Could be heard from the back of the house as an orange ball of fluff bolted into view. Scoot pounced onto Mai causing the two of them to roll backwards. The smaller kit whom had met Chamber as a bowl jumped up and down on Mai's belly. "Mai! Mai! Mai! Guessssssssssssssssssssssssss what?"

Chamber watched, wondering if he should learn sign language. Yes, he was willing to do that for Mai, of course. Duhh. Watching the two he entered the house, smiling warmly at Winter.
"Alright." Ah, a familiar voice. His head whipped around to spot the kit, eyes widening. So that is what she looked like. And she was a rather violent hopper on poor Mai's stomach.

Mai's nose was wrinkled looking at the bouncing kit. She grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and placed her on the floor. She rolled over then signed at Scoot. She padded over to Chamber and sat down next to him while waiting for the kit's response. Scoot wiggled her back end then bounced around the two. "Christmas is coming up! Santa Paws is going to come and bring presents!" She squealed out happily. "Presents! Presents! Presents! Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd Winter said we can put up a Christmas tree! I dunno what that is but I bet it is awesome!" She said in a high pitched squeaky voice. "Annnnnnnnnnnnd did you see all that snow outside? Winter said I could play in it later!"Winter softly shook her head at the kits excitement. She disappeared into the back of the house as she called out. "I have a small gift for you Mai." She soon returned with a small whiteboard with dry erase markers and an eraser. "This will be better then going through paper all the time." She smiled and gave them to Mai. "We can make you a little pouch to put them in so you can carry them around with you."

Chamber smiled when the kit squealed and yipped, shaking his head softly. He watched Winter walk off, glancing over at Maikoa. When the board was brought out he grinned, nudging the females cheek.
"That is wonderful~ I'll buy you a pouch." He mused softly, tail wagging. "Or make you one." He added, wondering if he knew anyone that could teach him how to make a pouch.
Wait...Christmas?!

Mai got a shy look on her face when he nudged her. Her eyes lit up at the gift Winter was presenting her. She smiled happily and signed her thanks to Winter. She then took the board and the markers. She wiggled seeing all the markers were purple. She quickly uncapped one and wrote on the board. That would be nice Chamber. I'm very happy that I can talk to you again. She pushed the board in front of Chamber. She started signing to Scoot.Winter smiled. "So Chamber how did you meet our Mai? She is rather shy around others because of being mute." She of course had only seen the small bowl once so didn't think to put the two together.Scoot bounced around the room obviously to hyper to have a proper conversation. "Mai! What you askin Santa Paws for? I wrote him a letter asking for a puppy, a kitty, a bunch of candy, my cutie mark and lots of other things. Winter says I'm being selfish!" She stopped long enough to stick her tongue out at Winter.
