((This roleplay is open to anyone who feels like joining. Just catch Riley and Jericho sneaking down to the basement of the monster dorms, if you want to come play.))It was moonrise, just like he'd said. Riley and Jericho had been in the monster dorms the entire day, sleeping off the effects of dying over a dozen times, over and over. Then, true to her word, Riley brought Jericho down to the basement of the monster dorms, where there were indeed several unattended refrigerated rooms waiting for them. She tried not to make any noise, but thankfully their voices weren't going to be a problem. She stopped in front of one abandoned room, and folded her arms impatiently. It's time. He better be here.

After finally defeating Trial by Fire, Jericho let himself sleep for the rest of the day until it was time to go to their little secret meeting. During their time of relaxation and sleep, he had gone into his true form and curled around his treasures, Riley included.
A little reluctantly, he got ready and followed her down into the basement when it came time. While he would have liked to rest longer, he was feeling much better now than he was earlier that day. His stride was back to its normal gait. The dragon's pride would take a little longer to heal as he still felt that he had slowed his friend down during the trial.
Once they were in the basement, he looked around, trying to see if he could spot Nox anywhere around.
"He should be.. Don't know why he'd stand us up."

Whistling a favorite Halloween tune on his way back to his dorm was a rather sweaty and pinkish Half Beast. Bul had finished his evening workout and was returning in sweats and a towel laid wrapped around his neck. As he approached his dorm room and began to fumble for his dorm key a couple familiar faces passed him by. With a grunt and a wave he dismissed them on their way. Riley and Jericho were seen around each other a lot as it was and the boil was not hesitant to give his Fitness leader a greeting.
Rustle- Rustle... "Jack ******** damnit.." He'd left them in the fitness room which everyone had now left and locked as the late hours rolled in.
Riley and Jericho hadn't made it too far down the hall, he could still see their shadows as they approached the basement stairway. Trailing after he jogged to keep up but only caught them when they stopped.
Panting a bit, he called to them on his way down the stairs. "Riley? Jericho? Hey can either of you do me a huuuuuuge favor?" he asked when his pursuit came to an end. "I kinda locked myself out of my room and left the key back in fitness."

UNHOLY JACK-The mood had been tense and quiet as they waited for Nox, so Bul's sudden cry, in its normal volume, made Riley jump and nearly have a heart attack. Her claws dug into Jericho as she gripped his arm, swiveling around to face Bul with wide eyes. Breathe. Assess. Rationalize. Don't rip Bul's head off. After she had processed all these thoughts, she finally relaxed and said something that wasn't a screaming profanity. Hey. Ah. We can help you, but we're waiting to speak with someone first. So unless you want to find a gnome to break into your dorm, would you mind waiting a bit?

Between Bul and Riley, Jericho jumped, being pretty startled from the sudden noises. He first gave a light hiss from the Illithid digging her claws into his arms, then let out a breath when he realized it was just Bul here. From the sounds of things he had no idea they were trying to be all sneaky here.
"Damn man," he said while shaking his head to himself, slowly relaxing, "But yeah we got some business to take care of quick. We'll help ya out once we're done."
Now he hoped that Nox wouldn't show up like.. right now while Bul was still around. The guy would probably have some questions as to why they wanted to speak to the ToT'er and all. And he figured those might not really be questions they wanted at this point.. especially since they were trying to be somewhat covert.

The boil's tail swayed welcomingly towards the two even as they appeared a bit shocked. With a brow raised he crossed his arms but remained poise as Riley informed him of their meeting. "That's fine. ******** me if I'm gonna go get help from any gnomes. I lock my door when I'm out for a reason."
Needless to say the monster was still curious as to why they were down here. Luckily he was still in his sweats and the cold basement was no match for him. "I'll just chill here till you guys are done." Reaching into his workout bag he pulled out a monsterade bottle and sipped the luke warm liquid as he waited.
"Ya'll planning a rager?" he asked arbitrarily. Shady rendezvous on campus generally equated to the greatest parties "never had."

The door suddenly opened and Nox's head appeared, "You know what I'm planning? I'm planning on leaving if you don't get in here." He glanced at Bul, quirked an eyebrow at Riley, and then rolled his eye before disappearing back into the room. It was dimly lit and chilly, and while not exactly large, it wasn't small either. A worn wooden table and a set of metal chairs occupied the area.

Ah, timing. Riley had barely managed to steady her heartbeat after Bul's surprise appearance, when Nox had her jumping out of her skin a second time. Poor Jericho was taking the brunt of these surprises, as she dug into his arm again at the sound of Nox's voice.
Of course, Bul's timing couldn't have been worse, either. Riley took one look at Nox, and followed his gaze to Bul. Her mind was made up relatively quick - she wrapped her arm under Bul's, and tugged him in with them. Privately, she whispered to him as they entered. Don't speak. This is really important.
She let him go once they reached the table, and urged him to take a seat. She, however, sat on the edge of the table itself. The last thing she wanted was to feel like Nox was teaching them a class.

Of course, Nox would show up while Bul was around. Letting out a sigh, he glanced towards the other two before making his way into the room where Nox awaited. There was no point in shooing off the half-beast now, so he hoped that he just wouldn't end up messing with the meeting.
Once at the table, he took a seat as well. For now, Jericho remained silent as it was Riley who knew more of what she wanted to ask.

Bul was taken by Riley as fast as Nox had shown up. The TOTer was definitely familiar from a couple days before whence he had completed the Trial By Fire. Taking orders he kept his mouth shut and nodded when they were pulled in.
The half beast waited until they were sealed in securely before stepping back and leaning against the wall behind the table. Having not interacted with a TOTer inside the school grounds before Bul made certain he was both attentive but passive through the conversation that followed.

The 'Treater took his own seat, promptly putting his feet on the table and tipping his chair back. He gave the student a once-over, decided the monster was probably not a threat at the moment, and then began, "Alright, first thing's first. Tell me what you think you know, and I'll see if I can correct you or add anything. s**t that's confidential is confidential, you want me to break with confidentiality? You have to make it worth my while, and to be honest I think you all have a good year yet to have much worth offering."

This was it. Riley felt a twinge of fear, at the mere idea that she simply didn't know enough to make Nox talk. Every scrap of information she'd managed to glean suddenly bubbled up at once, filling her mind with scattered thoughts. As a result, her voice wounded waving, like a radio station that was losing its signal and being replaced by a stronger one.
I know that the Island we went to is home to humans. I know they steal our kind and break them, until they can be turned into weapons. And I know the fog in that Island is what causes hallucinations.
Her eyes tightened as she tried to focus. We're not safe here. There's spies among us, even now. And that ghoul Emily, she was there for months. If they managed to take her.. they could take any one of us.
She looked up at Jericho, her eyes pleading as if to ask if he could think of anything else they could share.

Frowning at Nox, Jericho shifted his wings a little uncomfortably as Riley spoke. She covered most of the bases there... When she looked over at him, he took the moment and tried to see if there was anything else he could say here. Though, he paused briefly to glance towards Bul. Most likely this was the first time he was hearing about all of this.
"I know that the horsemen were there for awhile.. .and they're all kinda not really all here in the head. That may or may not be related," he said, "But they were affected by the fog too.. but they're probably too strong to be broken down into weapons."
His eyes narrowed for a moment.
"One of those... people there told us how his weapon came to be."

Confidential things? Well it seemed this secret meeting was a lot more serious than a rager party. When Riley brought up the details Bul looked up thoughtfully the island plenty vivid still in his memory. Wait, humans? "You mean the cloak at the cove- he was a human? They were not reapers?" He asked quietly. Abruptness would likely be unacceptable.
Naturally all this information was completely baffling the monster. While confusing there was nothing obscenely unbelievable about it, considering they got murdered like wild undead boars at the mercy of blades in the fog. But humans? Emily was an unfamiliar name however, and kept Bul searching for a face to match it. Jericho then proceeded to mention the horsemen which Bul remembered famine's psychotic attack on their group as well as Aisa's strange behavior when he'd met the ghoul.
This news was driving his curiosity crazy but he could not bring any words back to even ask further questions. He just wanted to hear. Pushing off the wall he stepped forwards and rested his tail underneath him to create a pseudo-chair near the others.

"Not reapers, and not your typical humans, either. Hunters. They hunt. Guess what part we play in that? Yeah, you got a taste of it on that jacking island. They should have died out long ago, and they've only just resurfaced recently. You think you're unhappy and confused? Well, we all are. If cards are being played closely and cautiously, that's because nobody has the all the answers, and a real solution is a jackdamned pipe-dream at the moment."
Abruptly, Nox dropped his feet to the floor and got up to pace the room. "The fog... the fog. That's...hopefully that's not a problem we'll have to deal with here, and hopefully you know better than to go back to that place?" He locked up to glare at the lot of them, as if wondering if that was why they were asking about all this.
