 Prelude was single again, and it was strange. He had spent so long with Daciana, so when he realized it was more of a habit it was hard to come to terms with it. He had loved her once, loved her more than the stars themselves. It took meeting another girl and realizing that when she said follow his heart, his heart was not with Daciana. It had become a habit, waiting for a girl that never visited, waiting for a girl he rarely saw. It was a habit he had grown sick of soon.
Now? Prelude was making a new den near his new friend, Cloud Chaser. She was a sweet girl, had helped him through his break-up. She was obsessed with stars ever since he told her that he'd give a star to his special girl one day if he could. He had no idea why this hit her so hard, but it had, and now she had even tried to ask if one could live on a star.
A strange girl, but sweet, loyal, and a great friend, perhaps his only other than Harvest. So many women had walked into his life and then out, yet Cloud was a honest girl he could turn to for a smile. This was why he was moving closer, to be near his friend and support her as her life unfolded.

With a happy flick of her tail Cloud Chaser bounded out of her den with a little gift in her mouth. It was a large pillow that a human thrown away, it was still in good condition so she snagged it. She figured it would be a great welcoming gift for her new neighbor. As well as her new friend. She set the pillow down and peaked inside the den. "Hellooo?~" Her tail made a loop, she didn't want to waltz on into Prelude's new home, that would be rude! "I brought a little something for you! As a den warming gift." She smiled sweetly and nudged the pillow closer to the entrance of the cave. "It's not much, but I hope you like it."

Prelude smiled when Cloud Chaser popped her head into his new home, tail flicking as he squeezed out of his den, moving past her to glance at the pillow. Oh! His eyes flicked to look at her's, grinning.
"For me?" He asked, nudging her cheek softly with his muzzle, picking the pillow up and placing it in his den. "Thank you, Cloud. I wish I had brought you a gift, myself." He smirked at his cave, glancing about before looking back at her.
"What do you think? It's a little small, but I can spread my wings at least." His wings ruffled, chuckling softly. "Oh! Come in!" He exclaimed, moving to the side to gesture her in.

Cloud Chaser let out a giggle. "You didn't have to get me anything~ " She blushed slightly from the nudge to the check and returned the sweet gesture. She looked around the small but cozy den. Hers was slightly bigger but it was nice all the same. "It's lovely Prelude." She smiled warmly at him.
She was very happy her new friend was closer now. "Oh! You know you are welcomed to pop in anytime." She let out a giggle. "After all I'm right down the way~" She sat down and wagged her tail slightly. "I'm really glad you came here." She smiled. "Not to many foxes I know are near. So it's really great you are here."

He smirked back at her, glancing about. "You think so? I just need to brighten it up a bit and it'd be all set." He smirked at the smaller vixen, then arranging the pillow.
Her invitation caused him to smile, nodding softly. He may take her up on that sometime soon, take her out to star gaze once more perhaps. "I am glad. I moved here to start a new life, I am glad I can incorporate seeing you in it." He mused, smiling softly. "I'm very glad you allowed me to move nearby~"

"How do you plan on brightening up?" She wanted to suggest flying up and catching a star, But, last time she checked it was impossible, so she just smiled thinking how wonderful it would be to have a den lit by stars.
She giggled. "Allowed you? I don't own the mountains silly. It was you who came here." She playfully gave him a light nudge with her paw. Her tail wagged with delight. "When you're settled in I would love to show you the land." She smiled. "So you know where to hunt or find water. The basics!~" Of course it was common courtesy to show a new fox around. But Prelude was different. She would show him all the best places and not just the basic ones. She smiled a bit more mischievously.

A small shrug rolled off his shoulders, looking at the den with a simple smirk. "Mmmm, grow some vines with flowers on them, or find something shiny. I know Harvest knows of a cave of purple stones that glitter." He chuckled at her second comment, looking over at the sweet vixen with a crooked smirk.
"Well, I wanted to make sure you wouldn't mind a neighbor being around~" Absently, he brushed leaves aside with his tail, moving to the mouth of the den. "Really? I'd love a tour. I'm sure I could find the basic places for food and such, but it's always nice to have company."

Cloud marveled at the idea. "That sound really nice." She thought about a place she wanted to take him. She saw some glittering in a different part, but never really took the time to investigate it. Maybe Prelude would look with her.
"I don't mind at all!" She looked around. It was still a decent time in the day. Perhaps tomorrow she can show him the good stuff. "If you would like to start now I would be honored to be your guide." She smiled and gave a bow, giggling as she did.

He laughed at her enthusiasm, waving a paw at the girl with a smirk. "Barely moved in and you're already dragging me around the world? Alright, I'd be happy to have you as my tour guide." He sent her a sparkling smile before exiting his den completely, spreading his large wings and stretching. With a shake, he turned to her and nodded his head to the sky.
"Lets make sure you get home by dark, though. It is dangerous at night." He stated, nodding to her. The dark male wondered absently if he could figure a way to transport water to his den and not have to travel to find it all the time, in case a storm broke out or he was snowed in.

She smiled sheepishly at the other Phim. "Sorry if I am coming off overbearing. I'm just excited~" She looked up at him. "Oh good! I'll show you the basics. But tomorrow I'd like to take you to flight exclusive locations." She smiled proudly.
"Such a gentlefox you are, Prelude." She giggled. I'm sure if we do come home late he will be able to protect me from what ever is creeping out there~ She smiled at him. "What would you like to start off with?" She spread her wings and flexed them, letting out a relaxed sigh.

"Ah, no. You are not over bearing at all. I find it refreshing to have a cheerful spirit about." He smiled at her, tail flicking at the tip side to side. As she spoke he considered what he wanted, then stopped. He was full, and quenched. So why not see what Cloud liked?
"What is your favorite spot?" He asked, finally lowering his wings after cracking them and making sure they were fully prepared for flight. His favorite spot could be shared across the world, seeing as the night sky anyone could peer at. Though hers could be different, and Prelude always loved to take a small step into other peoples lives.

Cloud thought about his question. "My favorite spot..." Her current favorite spot was a secret. She looked up at the sky. It wasn't the right time to go anyway, the best time to go was at twilight or later. "Oh!" It dawned on her. "I'm not going to take you to my favorite spot." She smiled sheepishly. "Not yet at least. It's not the right time for us." She smiled more reassuringly. "But eventually I will take you. But! I will take you to another favorite spots." She did have a few after all.
With that Cloud gracefully flapped her wings and hovered in the air. "Are you ready to go now?" She flew a bit higher with a loop and a twist. She loved to fly and often did tricks as she flew, not to show off but just to have fun.

Chuckling softly, he held back the question of what her favorite spot was, instead spreading his wings to their full length and smirking up at her.
"As ready as I can be." He purred back, kicking into the air and darting to her side, using his wings to curve his body to a stop, elegant as always. With a scan of the land under him he glanced over at the pretty vixen that was his guide, smiling gently.
"So, where to?" He asked, looking at the sky. Hm. He had an idea for Cloud, something he had in the back of his den and had been there for a long, long time. Perhaps she'd like it.

She grinned and flew straight up along the face of the mountains their homes were in. She looked at the land then found the path she was looking for. She pointed at it. "She that line through the trees?" She looked over at Prelude and smiled. "It's an old deer path, I don't think it used often." She kept flying following the pat, she didn't say where it lead to but she didn't need to. They would be there soon.
After a bit more of flight the path veered off then headed back down the mountain. Cloud looked for the next mark. "Ah-ha!" She shot forward and found the old willow tree she was looking for. It was surrounded by cherry trees. The air was fresh and warm. She sat proudly in front of the tree, tail wagging. "Ready!?~"

He followed after her quietly, fluttering down when she landed before the trees. The petals fell down onto his nose, causing him to laugh. When he turned to look at Cloud he saw a petal fall into her hair, smiling softly and pulling out a petal.
Then... he stopped. This was how he became hurt last time, bonding with someone close and then watching as they left. For a brief second he seemed hurt, eyes flashing an emotion of pain before he smiled sweetly.
"The color of the petals compliment you nicely."
