Saint Petersburg is the only city in all of Russia where Zoid Pilots from all factions can enjoy a little R&R without worrying about an enemy attacking them. The city is full of entertainment, shops, restaurants, and even a Red Light District. And of course, there's the Black Market. Rumor has it, you can even by Zoids on the Black market, though the Russian State Police deny that the Black market even exists.
Russian bars, regardless of their affiliation or reputation, do not serve alcohol to any Zoid Pilot that used their Zoid to get there. There are only two ways to Saint Petersburg. Piloting your Zoid or a Russian Gustav that pulls passenger trailers. The "Bustav" as it's called, runs between the city and the Main Base of every faction. There are four Bustavs that make the trip. Tsarina Svetlana I has proclaimed that any faction that attacks a Bustav will face thew wrath of the Russian Army as well as an embargo. Of course, there's also PAC Directive 670-1Z.
((This thread is for characters interacting in Saint Petersburg only. On the far South of the city is a Zoid Hanger, one for each faction. Each hanger is guarded by Russian Spino Sappers.))

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ "I think you're making a big deal out of nothing." Bathsheba grunted, looking at Tobias with a dull glare. Seriously, what did he have to be insulted about? It was just standard flight landing procedure.. Good God, if he's arrogant and full of himself I might call quits... She thought with a sigh.
Bathsheba just rolled her eyes at the moment between Tobias and Aisling. She was a Zoid, and although they had personalities they were still machines. She was a bit surprised he let a Zoid push him around. Must be a pilot thing...
After they landed, Bathsheba could only stare at Tobias in complete ******** God Bathsheba isn't me. I'd be throwing punches and be asking to go home at this point.))

Captain Tobias "Archangel" Winters, 101st Storm Sworders, Pan-American Coalition "My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. May you be forever safe, my love." Tobias shrugged. "It's a little hard to understand if you're not a pilot. Uh...no offense of course." He patted the canopy. "Aisling isn't just a Zoid. She's my friend. My partner. If she gets hurt, I feel her pain in a sense. The same with her. We're linked. Ask your brother about Grey. He'll probably say the same thing. I'm not insulted personally. I'm insulted at their treatment of Aisling." Aisling twittered happily. "Anyway, shall we exit?" Aisling's mouth opened, the chill of the Russian Air hitting them both as the cockpit touched the ground, the harnesses releasing them. Tobias hopped out, then held his hand out to Sheba. "Might I assist you?"

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ "None taken." Bathsheba lied with a grunt. Pilots. Where the ******** do they get off? She growled in her head.
They go on and on and on about how great THEIR Zoid is and how no one can possibly understand how things work between them and those machines. But do they ever stop to think about who has to work on the Zoids? No. They just ******** sit in the seat, bark at others, themselves, and the Zoid, get their asses whooped and limp home. They act like their SO special because they want to believe only one bond is made and that's with them. She got out of the cockpit on her own, not even looking to Tobias or acknowledging his gesture. Had they been in an anime, steam would be literally seen coming from her head as she put on her leather jacket to beat the cold air.
No, a mechanic can't possibly make some sort of bond. They're not a pilot and therefore not worthy of any such thing. We only bust our asses and waste our time fixing every pilot's ******** up! We only stand by and talk and comfort the Zoid when it's broken down because their dumbass pilot couldn't freaking fight. So we couldn't possibly understand ANYTHING. Bathsheba gave an audible growl as her fingers gave slight twitches.
((Please note I'm not saying there is a second bond. I know there is a strong Pilot-Zoid relationship that is incomparable to anything else. But I don't buy into that there is only the one bond. It seems more plausible to me if a smaller, less important one was made between Zoid and mechanic, seeing how mechanics have to do constant work and handling on the Zoids, and it'd just be awkward if you weren't comfortable with that person.))

((The only bond they ever talked about was Pilot and Zoid. So if you can find a way to make it work, be my guest. Though I dunno how well it'd work, seeing as a mechanic works on multiple Zoids, never seeing the same one twice in a row.)) Captain Tobias "Archangel" Winters, 101st Storm Sworders, Pan-American Coalition "My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. May you be forever safe, my love." Tobias scratched his head awkwardly. "O...k? Did I say something wrong?" Open mouth, insert foot. I have no idea what I said, but apparently she took offense to it. What part though?

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ "Nope." Bathsheba replied dryly, looking at Tobias dully. She couldn't tell him she wanted to take a wrench and beat his a** black and blue. He was her ride home and she at least swallow her pride and anger until they got home.
"So where's our first stop?"
((The way I see it, it's just like a person with a doctor. You get comfortable with your doc and form a relationship with them. You don't just let ANYONE with a lab coat go poking at your body and handle ya. And doctors don't just work with one person either. They have multiple patients, and yet have relationships with all of them.))

((That's actually an oustanding viewpoint. However, mechanics are different. Zoids are Military Equipment. A Mechanic can spend three months working on Zoids, and may see the same one Zoid twice if they're lucky. It's like seeing your doc maybe once a year. You don't really have the time to build that bond.)) Captain Tobias "Archangel" Winters, 101st Storm Sworders, Pan-American Coalition "My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. May you be forever safe, my love." Tobias raised his left eyebrow. "I don't believe you, but there's no point in arguing about it." He glanced at his watch. "Tanya's? She'll be getting lunch started. Hungry?"

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ "Yes. There is no point." Bathsheba agreed dryly, thankful was smart enough to not try and press it further. She wasn't sure she'd be able to be much nicer to he ride after that.
"A little bit.' She shrugged her shoulders. "I could go for a meal though."
((Well, it's what I'm going with. She's basically a Zoid Doctor, and as such, has Doctor-Patient relationships with Zoids.))

((Have fun with that. XD But I don't see how that would get her pissed off at Tobias for his reasons as to why he felt insulted...)) Captain Tobias "Archangel" Winters, 101st Storm Sworders, Pan-American Coalition "My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. May you be forever safe, my love." Tobias chuckled. "Well, do you have any allergies? Foods you won't eat? That way she can plan ahead. She has no problems altering her cooking for a guest." He held out his arm. "Shall we?"

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ "As long as she's not cooking broccoli." Bathsheba answered.
"To this day, that s**t will make me throw up. I guarantee it." She briefly shuddered as she remembered the last time she had a whiff of the smell of the vegetable. Her taste buds and nose hated it so much, she lost her appetite for the whole evening.
Bathsheba looked curiously at his arm, raising an eyebrow. "I thought this was just a shopping trip between friends..?"
((Because he's basically telling her, "Oh you don't understand the bonds with Zoids because you're not a pilot." when 1) She does kind of want to be a pilot and 2) She does have her Doc-Patient bond with Zoids, but no one takes them seriously because no one wants to believe such a kind of bond exists.))

((Well, he does have a point. Only a pilot would truly understand. It's like someone that works around Soldiers thinking they understand the bond between them. He'd take her seriously on the Mechanic-Zoid bond, but it still wouldn't be the same to him.The only person he really argues with is Jarid. he's actually a pretty understanding guy.)) Captain Tobias "Archangel" Winters, 101st Storm Sworders, Pan-American Coalition "My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. May you be forever safe, my love." "Nah. She's more carnivore than herbivore. I introduced her to an American steak once. I swear I thought that girl was gonna get fat with how many steaks she ate. She almost got kicked out of the Bolshoi for weight after that." He wiggled his elbow. "Would you rather be hit on by every Russian guy out there?"

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ "Carnivore huh?" Bathsheba smirked. "I should introduce her my brother then in that case. They'd get along GREAT."
She rolled her eyes at his arm. "Please." She scoffed. "You guys act like I'm the only female for ten miles everywhere I go."
((But that's just it. It's that, "You don't understand" that is ticking her off. It's rude and annoying, especially from where she stands.))

((Oh I know. But to him, it's insulting and rude that they treat Zoids like they do.)) Captain Tobias "Archangel" Winters, 101st Storm Sworders, Pan-American Coalition "My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. May you be forever safe, my love." "Well, I'm not sure he's fond of the Russians. No matter how beautiful Tanya is." He wiggled his elbow again. "When the ratio is 5 men to one woman, you might as well be."

"Fine. Since your so damn persistent." She tsked as she finally took his arm. "I doubt it stop any drunks who are desperate though.."

((Look on the bright side. He didn't intentionally offend her.)) Captain Tobias "Archangel" Winters, 101st Storm Sworders, Pan-American Coalition "My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. May you be forever safe, my love." "Nah. She prefers ballet to spying. Though with her looks and charm, she'd make a hell of a spy." He patted her hand gently as he gestured towards the exit. "It's illegal to be drunk in public without an escort. It's the sober men I'm worried about." Especially the old Spetznaz guys that think they can take me. Rather not get in trouble for fighting.
