So what i noticed in another topic is people speak other languages but we don't know that unless something comes out and your like oh they speak that cool, So do i, oh something else in common type of thing,

SO for this topic you can speak about what languages you speak where you learned them, or what languages you want to learn 3nodding

This is actually an interesting topic.

I know a little bit of French since i took a year course. I also know a good bit of German since my mothers family is German/Irish. For the past two years i would say i have been learning the Irish/Celtic/Gaelic language. So far the German and Irish(etc) are my favorite to learn.

Wow nice hon. It's nice to see someone learning all kinds of languages and to become fluent in them. It adds a fascination to them.

Haha thanks, SO Irish/Celtic/Gaelic language i have never actually heard it before sounds very fascinating heart , One thing that i found interesting is when i began learning languages i thought it would be hard but if you really want to be fluent in it, it just becomes something you catch on to, then your eyes naturally catch the language if you hear it 3nodding

Well those language is an old dying one sadly. While they still speak it some it's not being used as much anymore. But i do love the language. Especially the music when it's being sung. It's peaceful and soul wrenching, well to me it is. Plus i love some of the names or say if your wanting to speak of an object and what it is called.

Exactly at first it seems like it. Especially when you are use to saying one of the letters a certain way and find out that it's said a different way for that culture. Like for French it took me forever to get the r's right. lol

even though it is slowly a disappearing language the way you explain it makes me what to know more, sounds beautiful

I know lol, but one thing i learned of languages with a Latin origin, they have many similarities so i used my Spanish knowledge in French and it took me to another level of understanding and learning it

It is a beautiful one thats for sure. Well i hope you do or atleast able to listen to some of it.

Ah i see now that would be an interesting of understanding. Talking about the French language is making me want to pick it back up again.

Well I speak English and I'm a French student. I've been studying French for 2 years and I don't plan on stopping. I studied Spanish a few years ago, but that was only because I was forced too. I plan on studying it again in a few years, after I become more fluent in French. I also want to learn German, but that will have to wait.

Yea, it helps when you actually like learning the language. With anything really, if you want to learn, and if you're interested in the subject, the more you'll take in.

That is completely true, imagine those who know like 70 or 80 languages its completely amazing to think to know that many if you call slang a language could it count lol jk, i don't think it falls under the definition of language look at me going okay i will stop

As for known langues I can pick through basic Latin, after two years of forced study, but could not a write a sentence it. It was the only way my class could get their language credits at the time for high school. Though it did improve my spelling skills a little so that was a plus. I can also pick through German a little without having lessons because of the similarities between it and English.

In college however I plan to pick up lots of languages starting with Spanish, since it's my major. The school I'm going to offers at least 7 languages and I hope to learn a lot of them. My goal in life is the be a translator.

Well, English is my first language. And the only other language I know is Spanish. I'm not fluent, but I speak it pretty well.

I really, really want to learn Sign Language though. (I plan on taking it my Junior year, I can't take it any earlier unfortunately). I actually think it'd be cool to teach deaf kids as a career. <3
