History: Justyna left home as soon as she could. She was swept up in some youth power movement and tried to make it on her own in the world. She easily learned that the world is a cruel place and her parents were right. In an attempt to go back home with her tail between her legs, she accidently boarded the wrong train and ended up going along with a university professor and his archeological team on an expedition. Realizing she had no money left to go home with she decided to try and beg for change till she had enough. The professor over heard her giving herself a lecture and felt bad for her. He offered her a job as his assistant since his usual one was on maternity leave. Justyna was hesitant at first but realized that it was the best option and agreed.
Justyna quickly put her all into her new job. She wasn't going to let the professors kindness be wasted. She started out with small gopher tasks but felt this wasn't enough. She began reading the groups research books and notes at night in order to better understand what they were doing and thus find a better way to help. As she was reading, she fell in love with the exotic locations, the mystery of the artifacts, and the thrill of uncovering the truth. Quickly picking up on this interesting new subject she began forcing herself more and more into the excavation until she was actually right beside the actual students and becoming fast friends with them. Sadly it all came to an end when the trip ended and she remembered she was not actually a student. However, the professor was very impressed by her work and encouraged her to enroll in the university. With his help she quickly got on the path she felt in her heart to be right.
Unfortunatly the universe never forgot about how she left home and never contacted her parents, even after she got settled in her new life as a student. On her senior year excavation, she took a nastly tumble over the edge of the dig site when the ground gave from all the digging. When she awoke, she was told that her head and leg had struck some of the tools and her leg was especially damaged. She was sent back to get better treatment and her head trauma only led to some blurry vision while reading but they were barely able to save her leg from amputation. She was told she would never be able to do strenous activites with her leg being the way it is. Which meant no more excavations for Justyna.
Heartbroken she pushed through rehab, trying to regain full use of her leg so she can once again go into the field. Try as she did she only managed to walk with out a cane for short trips. Relizing that she was not going to get her mircale recovery she retreated to collecting and organizing the research of others since she was still interested in the mysteries of the past. She now stays in her house mostly either reading the finding of her collegues and researching her collection to help make sense of some of the findings or reading her adventure books and imagining she was still in the field.
Note: Some fine tuning needed but that's the basic info.
