As you all should know, your loving captain isn't one to let an excuse to party slip away. It has come to my attention that it's about time we have some sort of special Dawn Event. Anyone currently in the Dawn Lands is invited to attend, though any trouble will be dealt with harshly. {The captain doesn't like people ruining her fun.} This ball will take place about a week after the birth of the first Dawn children in decades; the Grave twins. In their honor, the captain has been plotting an extravagant party in an attempt to show her support for the parents. In essence, this is a very large baby shower taking place after the actual birth. Any gifts for the parents are to be piled in the corner of the ballroom. Across the way is a table piled high with various snack-like foods and drinks, both alcoholic and not. It seems the fiery woman that threw this together didn't think that possibly the parents would prefer to stay at home and simply rest with their babies; she believed that the occasion was too exciting to let go unnoticed. This way the weary couple would get any and all congratulations and one time visits out of the way at the same time. In another corner of the ballroom is set up a curtained-off area, containing two overly-intricate wooden cradles, the bottoms covered with a thin mattress. A mattress too soft and easily movable would much more easily suffocate the children, though they were far from uncomfortable. An elderly midwife sits comfortably in a rocker within the confines of the curtained area, awaiting the possible arrival of the children; the captain wasn't planning on forcing the parents to bring along their young spawn, though it seemed there was no real way out of the party. She was at least considerate enough to give them a week alone with their children, and to give the new mother time to recover. Along the wall, towards the center of the room and on the opposite side of the enclosure for the twins is a small dais, about a foot off the ground. Chairs are placed on the floor around it, waiting for the musicians to set themselves up and play for the people attending. The visibility due to the small dais should be enough warning for anyone who might stumble nearby, though the room is plenty big enough to provide space away from it. Posting may begin immediately. { The room of no escape.}

Crossing the room multiple times, a rather frazzled looking woman adjusted and readjusted every other thing in the room; the brightness of the light given off by the golden chandeliers overhead, the placement of several padded benches against the walls at various intervals, and the width of the opening to the small corner for the twins, among other things. Popping her head between the curtains, the woman checks on the midwife there for the umpteenth time. "And you're sure you have everything?" she demands, raising a snowy eyebrow in question. The older looking woman laughed, assuring her captain for at least the 13th time since she'd settled there. The woman seated in the rocker waved a hand in an attempt to dismiss the white-haired captain and, after a sharp frown, the other woman agrees and backs out.
Pacing across the room to the other end, Neciel can't help but notice how different her foot steps sounded in her more formal attire. Instead of her normal high black boots, she wore black satin slippers; the usual Clack clack clack of heeled boots was replaced by the whisper of the soft material against the stone mosaic floor. Glancing down at the rest of her attire, she begins to mumble to herself that just maybe this hadn't been the brightest of ideas; by making the event more formal, she had trapped herself into wearing a dress. And, of course, her deranged "son" had made it his business what she wore. He had pressured her from the time he found out the dress code until she finally gave in. Agito had certainly taken full advantage of the situation, as he had gone to such lengths as to sew it himself. To the captain's surprise, the boy turned out to be a whiz of a tailor.
The majority of the cloth was, not surprisingly, navy in color. The dress itself was simple enough; she had rejected any designs that were too intricate or flashy. The soft navy material fell to the floor, form-fitting at the bodice and eventually becoming looser towards the hem, a few loose creases in the material in the skirt. The sleeves, as well, were long, going slightly past her pale hands. No creases in the sleeves were seen until past the middle of her upper arm, where a black and gold patterned band marked the beginning of the looser part of the sleeve. If she were to extend her arms straight out, the sleeves would make a sort of upside down teardrop shape, coming to a point at the seam that went along the under part of her arm. The neckline gave only a slight point to reveal no more cleavage than on a regular basis, as she did not want to seem indecent. To keep the remainder of the dress from being too plain, the cross dresser had insisted on a belt at the waist, a point down lining up with the extremely small plunge in the neckline, the pattern matching the arm bands. Extending down just south of the downward point is a strip of cloth, the same thickness as the bands and belt. The descending piece of cloth came to a point four or so inches above the hem of the dress.
She was at least pleased that the boy had managed to incorporate her odd headband-like accessory by using the same colors as her normal attire. Adjusting the piece of metal and cloth on her head, she begins to mess about with her carefully arranged hair before catching herself. Now wasn't the time for that, she still had many things to do. At least, she had convinced herself of this as she continued to move across the room becoming more and more agitated as the time for people to actually arrive was drawing closer and closer. What ever have I gotten myself into? she asks, her voice condescending towards her own person for the first time in many years. Certainly it would not be the last, as things had started to become more and more interesting in the Dawn as of late.

Izzy wanted to DIE. What the hell had Agito gotten her into? The closest thing she had ever worn to a dress was the robes of a preistess, and even that was a rarity. So why was she here, now, wearing a dress that her pink-haired, girlish friend had picked out for her? I'm... too... nice... damn it all... It didn't help that while she was trying to not go into the ball room, her older sister was already draggin her inside. "C'mon, Izzy, it'll be fun~! You'll get to meet other striders, eat delicious food, and dance, and look pretty for the manly striders around here. It's about time you picked a man for yourself anyways, I know I'm going to soon." Yup, that was Izzy's older, and less serious sister. She was also the one with a demon cat inside of her... hence why Izzy was with her in the first place... to control it if something bad happened. And the word "bad" was an understatement. Clea loved parties, though, so the chances of the demon getting out while she was absurdly happy was slim. The woman even found her own dress, wanting to compete with Izzy, and somewhat jealous that Izzy's was handmade. As Izzy had been dragged in by her sister, Anlu followed behind them not a minute later. She wasn't as fancily dressed as Izzy, but that was because she was in charge of her own wardrobe, and for that she was proud. Though, she had to admit... Agito had taste. Waving to the Captain, Anlu headed for the wall to wait for Puck. She didn;t want thim to see what she was wearing until he got to the party itself, besides... he had to get his own formal attire on... and prepare Robin as well. Looking over her shoulder, she noted that Claire was right behind her, like expected. Claire bounced on her heels and stared at everything around her. It was so big, and pretty, and... expensive looking... How on earth was this affordable? Glancing about, the half-demon felt slightly under-dressed now, as she was wearing what was quite plain compared to everyone else... The only thing distracting her now was the pretty, winged, two-tailed kitty that was weaving itself under her dress and around her ankles. Bending down she scooped the kitty up and scratched behind her ears. "You're such a good little kitty, aren;t you... yes you are, yes you are..."Pippa purred loudly in the girl-child's arms. Now this was luxury... and it was all hers. Yes, her indeed. Mine, mine, mine... ahhh... good scratch, good scratch, good scrath, yesss.... mine, mine, mine...(All of my striders, and my dk is here XD)

Entering the room on the side of the captain, a man who looked extremely similar to Agito slipped in quietly. The fact that his hair wasn't pink, as it had been lately, and he was actually wearing pants. The man's hair, neatly braided down his back, was a pale blue-ish gray in color. The braid ended in a thin ribbon tied in a bow, the first hint that maybe this handsome figure was the nut known as Agito. He wore a white collared shirt, and a black suit vest matching the pants he wore. Instead of a tie, a thick ribbon-looking material was tied in a bow in the front, the rest of the material hidden beneath his collar. The cloth, of course, matched that at the end of his hair. Glancing about nervously, it is revealed that this most likely is Agito, as even his eyes were the same soft brown. He had been in the room all day up until twenty minutes before, when both he and the captain had slipped off to change into proper attire. She had known about his change in hair color, but to say she wasn't surprised at his chosen attire would be a lie.
The captain swept across the room to take a closer look at the young man that had entered, visibly surprised when she realized who it was. "Agito?" she asks, trying her best to reign in her surprise. "Is that really you? You look wonderful." she begins to grin, making the young man blush fiercely. She smoothed the collar of his shirt, ignoring the reaction she had drawn. "I bet it's for a girl. Am I right?" she almost giggled, as the boy somehow grew redder. He began to brush the captain off, gently brushing away her hands. The smaller woman complied, still grinning wickedly. Peeking around Agito's arm, she noticed the group of women entering together, glancing at the the four of them studiously. She knew it couldn't be Anlu, she was quite obviously taken, and she certainly hoped it wasn't the young Dark Knight. That left the sisters, the exorcist and the one with the demon cat within her. And Pippa, of course, but that would just be absurd. "So," she asks, trying to sound casual, "are you trying to impress an older woman, or maybe one a bit younger?" she asks, keeping up her wicked grin. The boy in front of her stammered something, his blush coming back full force.
"C-c-captain, stop... please."
"Yes yes, alright. But I will find out soon enough~" she teased, maybe enjoying this a little too much. She returned Anlu's wave, knowing precisely who she would be waiting for off to the side. She pulled Agito's arm through her own, and half dragged him across the room to the sisters. "Good evening." she smiles faintly at them each in turn. It seemed the Dark Knight was playing with Pippa over by Anlu, and this was something she wouldn't ruin. Surely the cat wouldn't let someone giving her so much attention escape easily. "Izzy, Clea, I'm so glad that you could come." she noticed that Agito was squirming a bit beside her, and she released his arm reluctantly. She eyed Izzy's dress, recognizing the handiwork. "It seems the boy got to you too, huh?" she asks, glancing down at her own dress. "He does nice work, though." she shrugs, attempting to give Agito time to calm down a bit, though instead making him blush again. She had yet to actually compliment his handiwork in clothing, and now a comment out of the blue wasn't helping at all.

Clea held tightly on to her little sister's arm as the Captain and Agito approached. "Good evening, Captain, Agito, the two of you look absolutely wonderful." Looks like the girly boy is starting to man up a bit... I'm oddly proud.
Izzy worked to keep a straight face, to not show embarassment ro anything of the sort. She looked to Pippa, who was quite distracted by the young half demon. Damn it... when I need you to shift and fly me out of here, you're rolling about with a kid...At the mention of Agito getting to her, too... she nerely nodded. "Yep, he did." Her gaze fell on him, and if her sister hadn't mentioned his name, she might not have recognized him. "You... chahnged your hair? It's... very nice..."
"He does, lovely work, I am so jealous that she got a dress made..." Clea winked at her sister and finally decided to release the young one form her grasp. The Captain was in front of them now, so Izzy couldn't run away.

Agito smiled faintly at Clea's compliment, giving a small bow of his head. "You look lovely as well... I would have made you a dress, had I known..." he states, completely serious. He liked sewing and making clothes, especially dresses for such an occasion. He looked at Izzy, oddly proud of the dress she wore. It certainly looked lovely on her, and he smiled at her. At the mention of his hair, he reached back to confirm what she was talking about. "Ah... U-um, yes. Thank you." he had decided that the pink was too flashy, and besides which it didn't quite go with the 'tie' he had picked for this night. It was striped in shades of blue and blueish grays, similar to his hair color. After he had actually dyed it, he had been more pleased with the results than he had expected. He glanced at her dress again, noting how uncomfortable she seemed. "Do you not like your dress?" he asks, a bit concerned at this. He had certainly tried his best not to go overboard or uncomfortable.
The captain grinned faintly at the girl, nodding her head in acceptance. "Don't worry, I as well." she admired the girl's dress, though it was a bit complex for her own tastes. Her attention was captured by the older of the sisters, and the captain smiled at her. "He certainly would have made you a dress had he known that you needed one. He jumps at the chance to force defenseless women into his ridiculous designs." she jested, shaking her head slightly in good humor. "I had to reign him in a bit on my own, but it's quite nice. Soft and warm at least, which is all that matters to me in truth." the room, with it's smooth stone floor and walls had the potential to become quite cold, though the candles in the chandelier and in the braziers along the walls were lit by the captain's own fire; for once, not her signature blue but the expected red and orange of natural flames. "Your dress is quite lovely, though, designed by our infamous dress designer or not." the captain compliments, examining Clea's dress a moment. It looked like something Agito would make, though the young woman had stated it wasn't his.

Clea grinned at this. "Well, then... does this mean I can go to you for an entirely new wardrobe?" She smoothed the cloth of her stomach a bit, once again amiring the surroundings. "Yes, that's who I bought mine from, though I'm still rather jealous of my little sister here..." She nudged Izzy lightly. "So, who all else is supposed to be joining us on this lobvely occasion?" She wondered if she'd be able to find herself a nice dance partner... one who wasn't taken by the other strider women.
Izzy's head snapped up with an expression of slight worry. "Oh, no, it's very nice I just... don't wear dresses often, or go to dances... at all... or anything... this is just... new, I guess?" Go figure that calm and confident Izzy when it came to fighting ghosts and other creatures of the afterlife turned out to be... well, this as somehting as simple as a party. "I'm... at a loss of what to do right now..."

Dre entered the ballroom with a small note in his hand. He hadn't had much time to get to know any of the Dawn Striders so he toke this as a great opportunity. He had dressed up for the occasion, but was almost sure he would still stick out. His hair was a little more untidy then usual, it might have been because he had rushed her to assure he would not arrive late, but it seemed he was quiet early. He wore an extremely long coat which reached halfway down his calf; the collar of the jacket was turned up, but flopped around a little. He wore a white long sleeve shirt under his jacket; the shirt has a frilly tie, but with the jacket it would be noticed much. Also the collar of his shirt was turned up, but it wasn't as long as the jackets. He also had a dress vest on other which matched the color and style of his jacket. His pants was a relaxed fix, as much of his pants that he wore; they were long enough that when he sat down it wouldn't rise above his ankles. As for shoes he wore a pair of black polished shoes. He folded the note that he held in his hand and stuffed them into the pocket of his pants, before pulling a pair of white gloves out of the inside pocket of his jacket and putting them on.
He took a quick glance around the large hall, it was quiet impressive, but he hadn't come the ball to admire the rooms. He turned his attention back to the large collection of people, he would have to start greeting people and in a group it would be less troublesome. As he made his way towards the crowd a small thought popped into his head, I wonder how many people are actually going to show up.. But he soon dismissed it and tended too the matters at hand. Once he reached to collection of people he bowed lightly then spoke. "Hello, I am Andre Sato; it is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

"I-if you want one." Agito responds, blinking a bit in surprise. She would want an entire wardrobe full of his clothes? The thought seemed absurd to him. He had fancied himself skilled, but an entire set of clothes, ones that she would wear every day? She wanted to wear his clothes every day? He blinked again, still surprised, though he figured that she was joking. He turned to look at Izzy, a small smile forming at this side of her. It was.... cute. "The captain likes parties. You get used to them after a while." he offers, hoping this might settle her nerves. "Unless new is bad?" he asks, not quite sure. Some people were not fond of new experiences, after all. He glanced around, noting the musicians slipping in to set up at one end of the hall, opposite the small tent-like enclosure for the infants. "It's still early." he tells her, shrugging slightly. "Usually the people just talk until the music picks up."
The captain, noting Agito's surprise, nudged him slightly. The look on his face was edging towards shock, and she figured he didn't want to gawk in front of such lovely ladies. Glancing at Clea, she smiles slightly. "As you well should be. The boy did quite a nice job, admittedly." she winks, showing she didn't quite mean the first part. There was no need for jealousy; if the captain had her way, there would be plenty reasons to force a dress out of her poor 'son'. Glancing about, she notes that not many have arrived yet. The musicians, at least, were setting up their playing area. At one particular ball she had attended in another country, one hadn't even been able to see the musicians. She figured this to be unfair; they were ignored easily enough, didn't take up much space, and deserved some sort of recognition. This way, during their inevitable breaks, they could at least enjoy themselves a bit as well. Turning back to the two sisters, a smile appears on her face once again. "Whoever shows up, I suppose. It's an open sort of thing, though I did send out invitations to the other Striders and a few close friends outside." as she spoke, a young man approached and introduced himself. "Ah, Dre." she spoke, her tone familiar and friendly. "I am so glad you could make it tonight. This is Agito," she nodded her head in the boy's direction, "and these lovely ladies are Clea and Izzy." she indicated each of the sisters in turn, using an open hand. "I hope you stay for the rest of the night, but I really must attend to my musicians." she nodded politely to the young man, then to the sisters and Agito. "Others shall be arriving soon, and I should be available to greet them. Please excuse me." she smiled, and stepped back to head towards the grouping of young men and women on the other side of the room setting up their chairs and music stands. A small dais had been set up to try and prevent anyone from stumbling directly into them and to make them more visible. She stood quietly, directing only when one was off center or out of tune.

Clea's grin was wide. "I'll leave you to it then, Agito."Pretty clothes made by a seemingly expert tailor, and for free? Who could pass that up? Her attention was quickly turned as the Captain introduced her and her sister to a strider she had not met before. Though, those she had not met were many... her and her sister were still quite new, so she really only knew those that wer eon the Dawn Lands all the time. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Andre." She curtsied and then waved good bye as Neciel left. "Chat with you later then, Captain." Her eyes quickly glanced to her sister and Agito with a small hint of mischief. Perhaps she could do some pushing of her own...
"I see..." Izzy glanced about again, still uncomfortable. "Well, this being my first party... I suppose getting used to it may take a while longer than most would hope." Her eyes darted back to her cat companion, rasing an eyebrow as she continued to play with the sometimes perky, half-demon girl. The Captain called for her attention when she introduced the sisters to another strider, and Izzy waved slightly, out of her uncomfortable shyness... Mna how she wished she was back in pants... and sending some spirit back to the other side. "What do most people talk about until the music starts?" What would she have to do when the music did start?

"Hello, Andre." Agito greeted the other boy, giving a small nod. He smiled at Clea; he was certainly more than willing to put together an entire wardrobe for her. Maybe she was joking? He would find out as soon as he showed up at her door, hauling a rack of clothing made especially for her. He glanced at the captain as she slipped away, frowning slightly. He was about to say something when Izzy once again captured his attention. "Talk about?" he asked, pursing his lips in thought. "I believe it varies from group to group." he answers after a moment of thought, shrugging slightly. "Like the captain will go around talking about missions to get people to take them, or about ones they've completed. I'm not really sure about other groups, really."

Pippa's ears perked up as she spotted a giant, winged-dog of sorts. Ooooh, like me like me... he like me... Still in her tiny form, she escaped from Claire';s grasp and bounded towards the larger creature, instaly attacking his tail and wing tips. Play, play, play! Over here... over here... play! Pippa mewed to gain Loki's attention.

Loki saw a bundle of fur flash across the room and suddenly there was a little one playing with his tail and wing tips. Loki shook his head slightly his fur ruffled slightly and he gracefully fliped behind the small bundle that was mewing at him to play and pined it with a massive paw. "Really little one." Loki as fooling around gave the little thing a giant lick and chuckled to himself.
