Hello, all! First off, I would like to say, thanks for joining Multiple Tank Syndrome! Now, I would like you guys to tell us a few things 3nodding

1) Who invited you? If you weren't invited, then why did you join (wow, that sounds kinda rude lol)

2) What are your fish keeping experiences- What kind of fish have you owned?

3) How long have you kept fish?

4) And just for fun, what type of fish/set-up do you really, really, really want to have?

2- Very new to fishkeeping! I currently have a male betta, and six peppered cory catfish in a 20g tank, and a female betta in a 2g.

3- About three months! xD

4- I'm answering this because I don't have it- I want a huge like 100g goldfish tank. >3 Not that it will happen any time soon!

1. You?

2. Only goldfish and a betta. I'd rather not talk about the Betta. Had it when i was younger...

3. Haven't kept them in a long time

4. At the moment I want guppies. I think. I'll probably post a thread asking some stupid questions about them in the next few days xD

Hmmm, I guess I should join the band wagon and do this myself lol

1) I invited myself lol

2) I will list everything in order from when I was kid [K] (you can figure that one out...) to now [N] (doesnt mean I have all of them right now tho)

[K] Bettas, I think four, but never more then 2 at a time
[K] Oscars (technically they were my mom's)
[K] Koi, they actually had a pond though, till some free roaming cats and wild birds got them....
[N] Goldfish (temp housed in a 1 1/2 gallon tank, but got sucked up to the filter... he would have been a happy boy if he lived....)
[N] Guppies
[N] Bettas (kept in 1 1/2 to 3 gallon tanks. Now have two in a divided ten gallon and one a school in a 10 gallon all by himself and quite happy =D)
[N] Rainbow shark
[N] Blue Gourami
[N] Mosquito Fish
[N] White Spotted Talking Catfish
[N] African Dwarf Frogs
[N] Otto cats

3) Humanely? 3 years, I think.

4) I would LOVE to have a very large scale El Natural planted tank. Maybe a community... Not sure what I would put in it lol

1) Who invited you? If you weren't invited, then why did you join (wow, that sounds kinda rude lol) I think either you invited me or I saw the link i the P&A guild so I joined on my own.

2) What are your fish keeping experiences- What kind of fish have you owned? I have owned tons and I'm a volunteer aquarist at a public aquarium so I get to take care of thousands of fish. I have experience with nearly all commonly kept fish and a lot of less common ones as well.

3) How long have you kept fish? Casually for my entire life, seriously for the past few years.

4) And just for fun, what type of fish/set-up do you really, really, really want to have? A really want a zebra pleco, puffers, multiple types of dwarf cichlids and I won't even go on about all of the monster fish I want....

Akari_32 invited me from Fishlore. smile

2) What are your fish keeping experiences- What kind of fish have you owned?

When I was younger: various livebearers and bettas

Current tanks:
55g - 3 goldfish, 4 weather loaches
20g - honey gourami, guppies, albino corydoras, otocinclus, & mystery snails
55g - brackish: dragon goby, bumble bee gobies, swordtail, muppy, guppies, and horned, tiger, & olive nerite snails.
10g - betta

3) How long have you kept fish?

I had fish when I was younger, but I didn't keep them properly. Started again 2 years ago, and learned about the nitrogen cycle, compatibility, etc.

4) And just for fun, what type of fish/set-up do you really, really, really want to have?

Hmmmm probably a 300g goldfish tank and a 90g livebearer/honey gourami tank (with someone who comes and maintains them once a week). mrgreen

I was actually just searching around for betta guilds, and this came up n_n

2) What are your fish keeping experiences- What kind of fish have you owned?
Right now I only have one betta, that's all I have room for/can afford. I've had a total of four bettas before counting this one; and waaay back in elementary school I had a bigger tank and kept things like tetras

3) How long have you kept fish?

Like I said above, since elementary school? I kinda dropped out of the fish phase when I entered middle school, and I'm back into it again

4) And just for fun, what type of fish/set-up do you really, really, really want to have?
Oh wow, I'd just love to have several five-gallons to have multiple bettas, maybe a larger one for a sorority, and breeding/hospital tanks

1) I was just looking at the different guilds we had on Gaia for fish-keeping and was very impressed with this Guild...^_^

2) I have experience with fresh-water tanks. The type of fish I've owned have included mollies, Goldfish, guppies, Bettas. Due to a small apartment I only have one betta in a 2.5 gal tank at the moment, soon to be upgraded to a 5 gallon glass tank due to having a new proper stand for it. I might get another Betta after that for the empty tank after-wards. How I miss my 20 long and 10 gallon tanks.. sad

3) Since I was about 13. I learned a lot real quick after my older brother gave me my first 10 gallon then through trial, error, and research.

4) I'd love to have a small salt water tank someday with a few nemo-fish..lol! If I had a room I could just use for tanks I'd probably have one wall specially set up with a crap-load of 5gallon tanks to properly care for and own a shitload of Bettas. You wouldn't see one Betta in a fishbowl. I would also love a huge pond setup with a huge open-bottom tank in it for koi.

Note: I'f I ever opened a Fish-store You'd never see a Betta in a cup there ever. If you did it would be for transporting to your place only.

Hello, i just happened to stumble upon this guild and it seemed perfect for me. I feel i will be able to help many people out with any questions.

I have only been keeping fish for a couple of years but i have done a lot of research. right now i have two 10 gallon tanks with various tetras, a 90 gallon tank that has my african cichlids in it, and a 40 breeder that holds my two african clawed frogs.

I would really like to have an indoor pond so i can keep a red tail catfish. Maybe some other large predatory fish as well.

Hello
I was looking throu the guilds and this one cauth my eye, I am a dedicated fishkeeper and decided to join.

I never really started with this hobby, my father was one of the brave few that pionered this hobby in our little town here in Norway, we have one of the oldest and most dedicated aquariumcomunities in the country still. I just grew into the hobby and in many ways I learned the steps like most learns to ride a bike. Once you get the hang of it its part of you for ever.

I have keept and studied so many different species of freshwater tropical fishes that I can't even begin to list them, but due to a small apartment I have mostly been confined to smaller peacefull species these last few years.

I would love to set up a breeding tank with a javamoss covered grill in the bottom with a group of dario dario, or a larger biotope with a group of chocklate gouramies and vallientis chocklate gouramies together.

At the moment I have a small tank with a rare find, dwarf choclate gouramies. I was planning on keeping them like the larger specie, but after researching them I discovered that they require a pH value of 7 or more! The regular chocklate requires a pH belowe 6.5 and a temp above 27Celcius at all times.

This just proves that research is very very important in this hobby, and you are never too experienced to learn something new.
