*Welcome Beyond the Gates*
The time has come!
Now is the time that Fortune Teller had foreseen.
When we, the people of Gaia, have to come together.
However the threat has wedged a gape between us. Many worried voices claim that it wouldn't be long before the animated threat conquers us. The growing concern mimics the ever enlarging divide between the cities.
Nothing has heard anything from Durem. Not even a robot has been seen wondering the road from Aekae. No one has been able to make contact with the flamboyant residents of Isle De Gambino.
As those willing to brave the animated threat step forward, offering to help the Barton guards secure the land just outside Barton Proper. There are others, prepared and eager to explore the land beyond....They are ready to head out. They are propelled through the gates of Barton, over the guards post, into the unknown regions. Where none have returned.

Nasrin stood, eyes glued to the iron gates of the town. She didn't glance at her watch, they would either show or they wouldn't. It was that simple, and thus all the more complicated.
If one words slipped to the wrong person, she could be forced back behind the gates. Back there, in till those fools finally allowed her out and into the space that separated them from everyone else.
She let out a sigh as she shifted her position under the tree, then took a deep breath releasing it as she relaxed. The Zen Gardens seemed so quiet, almost relaxing in its silence. In till she remembered that was because no one else was out there. There were just silent threats or as rumor had stated some not so silent ones.
She tapped her feet. "I'm being to wonder if I made the right choose. Maybe...maybe no one will come..."
She bit her lip at the statement. No doubt at this stage of the game. She couldn't afford that.

(Before I start posting, I need to know; are you on the inside or outside of the gate. I'm kinda confused by the description; I will post, but I'm not gonna interact with your character until I know where she is. )

Lucas sat by the iron gates pondering in his own thoughts. "My ancestors have made this trip many of time. Why is everyone acting so weird? What is going on behind these walls that has everyone so terrified?" These questions remained unanswered in his head.

"What did the guards mean by what lies beyond this gate?" No one from his village ever reported any creature or disturbance in the west gate.

{I can do that. I was just wondering if you could not use the yellow. I can't tell what there.}
Nasrin tensed as two guards from inside Barton came out, to relieve the ones outside. They exchange pleasantries as she stood motionless in her hiding spot among the trees. Soon the guards at the end of the road would switch, time was not on her side.
If they don't show soon, not even I will be able to go.

She quickly glanced at her watch. 12:00 am GST (Gaian Standard Time). She glanced away thinking over her plan. By 12:15, she had to move because at 12:30 the guards would switch, which meant fresh guards
...Easily scared guards, new to the Gardens and there dangers. Perfect guards by my standards.

(okay redo, just to clarify; I am on the same side of the wall as you, always was)

Lucas got up from were he was sitting against the wall. He heard movement towards the front of the gate.

He moved behind a tree, so he could get a better a look. As the two guards came out; he felt discouragement

"Guess I'm gonna have to catch them when there sleeping or something" He said to himself.

He noticed movement in the tree he was standing behind. He noticed a girl looking in the same direction as he was.

Lucas not knowing whether this was friend or foe, drew his sword out and pointed it towards the back of the girls head.

"Who are you, and why are you here" Lucas said in an almost demanding voice.

(Okay, so I hope this post is okay with you, it gets us interacting anyway.)

Nasrin didn't move. Which she commend herself for, since her shock was rather great. What a way to greet some one new...
She raised her ring-less hand up and pushed the sword away from her head.
"If you don't know. Then you don't need to know." She muttered voice quiet and flat outside of the hint of sarcasm laced through her words. "But if you keep up all the fancy flashing. The guards will notice and then both of your question will be unanswered and even more pointless."

Lucas lowered his weapon.

"Forgive me, I'm on my way to the grave yard outside of Durem, and your the first face I've ran into. Why is everyone acting so strangely around here?"
PostPosted: Sat Aug 07, 2010 2:37 pm

Strangely? Everyone is acting strangely...Has he lived under a rock for the last 20 years or however old he is? Nasrin thought letting her eyes stray from the gate. Examining him, through her spectrum of life. She figured that her rock theory might be right.
She then turned to looks towards the guards, luckily his words hadn't carried. The guards hadn't moved.
A glanced down at her watch showed that she was running out of time. She let out a sigh as her eyes looked up at the gates. Without turning her head, she looked at the guy again, and using a pitch that was barely above a whisper stated, "Animated items tend to worry and rile people. Clearly you most know that or you would have long since left this area. Off on your journey towards the Durem graveyards."

Lucas lowered his voice to a whisper as well.

"I know about the animated items, but did not realize how much trouble they were causing. Regardless I need to get through this gate. There are items I need to collect before I get to the grave yard, but these guards seem to be unmovable."

Lucas gave Nasrin a concerned look.

"You know, if we work together; we may be able to get pass these guards a lot easier. Any suggestions?"
PostPosted: Sat Aug 07, 2010 3:33 pm

Nasrin nearly chuckled as she turned her eyes back towards the gates. "I'm waiting on three-maybe four people. They should be coming."
Her whisper carrying none of the worry she had, since she was starting to think that maybe...maybe they wouldn't come. No, such thought mean failure. I can't accept that!
She now seemed to glare at the gates as if willing them to give over her new allies. "We need those people to come or else we won't make it. Either the guards or the animated in this place will get us." Even quieter then her whisper she murmured, "...as it is...if we don't move soon we might be face those animated. I would much rather face the guards."

"You sound like you know more about this then I do, so what do you suggest we do?"

Lucas said to her in a whisper.

"Should we try and take the guards out or do you want to wait for your friends?"

Did he miss when I mentioned our need for more...oh never mind, she thought forcing her eyes not to roll. Letting out a soundless sigh, she checked her watch. No movement, maybe one minute less then before. It was one minute more, or less for those who were coming. Though now she had a new worry.
She glanced back into trees, and noted the new glow that came from beyond. "Great, the lanterns are on tonight."

Rayna looked at her watch and thought, 'At this rate, I won't make it out. Ah! Gotta hurry!' She snuck behind bushes and trees until she was at the West Gate. She noted the position of the guards and decided against sneaking past them because of her bad timing tonight. Instead, she decided to take the route to the South Gate and reach the Null Chamber in the Village Greens. It wasn't too far, and the guards down there knew she regularly went out to practice or keep them company. She quietly and briskly made her way to the Village Greens, still going unnoticed by the guards of the West Gate. Once at the South gate, she made a small wave to William and went to the Null. She touched the crystal and felt the familiar glow surround her and pull her inside. From there, she teleported to the Zen Gardens. She equipped her Coyote Spirit and easily zipped past the Kokeshi dolls, stopping when she finally reached the outer wall of the West Gate. She crouched behind a tree to catch her breath and almost yelped when she saw two other people already there.

(Okay, that was terribly long. I was trying to figure out how to get her there without being caught. xD )

{Its cool. And welcome to the party}
Nasrin was rubbing her hands together, fearing the nearing glow. Darn it where is-, her thoughts cut off as the bushes near by rustled. She prepared her mantis ring, when she realized it was person.
She glanced up quickly at the gates and then put her ring-less hand to her forehead, Of course how will they get out with the guards solidly in position. Shaking her head slightly, she stated quietly, "I'm guessing your here to join the group...?"
She raise her eyebrow waiting for her answer.

"Sure, beats being alone. How'd you get here? Not that I really care," she asked nonchalantly and stared blankly at the woman.
