The students could hardly believe when they had heard where the party in Hogsmeade was being held. The Shrieking Shack. The bloody Shrieking Shack. Of course, most didn't believe it was haunted, but Merlin, that place had to be filthy. From what the students understood, it had been years since anyone had even bothered to go there, much less clean it up. But, they would all take what she could get. A party was a party, and these kids were dying for a party.

The group of students met up near the Whomping Willow. A few had their doubts and weren't entirely sure this would work, but the story was that you could press a knot on the tree that would keep the tree from punching you out while you snuck into a passage in its base. This passage led to the Shrieking Shack. A few students raised their eyebrows or groaned in annoyance as one of them got as close to the tree as possible and lunged, pressing the knot with a long stick. To their shock, the tree froze. There was a mad rush to get into the tunnel before the tree started swinging again, but they all made it in to the opening.

A short walk brought them to a trapdoor, which brought them into the Shrieking Shack.

Enjoy the party, all.

When Anna had agreed to lead a few people to the party, she hadn't been expecting as many people to show up. And she had expressed this distaste loudly as she first disabled the Whomping Willow and then leading them through the tunnel to the Shrieking Shack. Mostly she complained to Johnathon, who would nod occasionally but for the most part just looked like he was trying to hold in his laughter. Near the trapdoor, she ran into someone, and for the first time since she had been in the tunnel, she lit her wand to see who it was. When she realized who it was, she didn't look too pleased. The boy, however, grinned, looked past her at the little group she was leading, and took a drink from the bottle he was holding. It was hard to tell what was in it.

"Bloody hell, Anna. You're like the Pied ******** Piper." he said cheerfully, making sure to sidestep and block any attempts she had to get to the rope ladder behind him. Eventually, she gave up on trying to escape him. "What the hell do you want Phil?" she snapped, glowering at him. "How about a ki - hey what was that thing in your mouth? Did you pierce your tongue?" The boy tilted his head, and Anna appeared slightly less defensive. One side of her mouth curled up into a lopsided smirk, and she took a step forward, the fingers of one hand curling around his wrist. "Yeah. You wanna know what else I pierced?" she purred. His brow furrowed, and he seemed lost for the moment. Anna took it was her chance and loosened his fingers from the bottle, taking it out of his hands and sliding past him. He blinked a few times before loudly exclaiming "You can pierce that!?". Then he looked down at his now empty hand and then turned, seeing Anna already disappearing up through the trap door. "She took my Fire Whiskey." he said dejectedly, before stepping off to the side. Johnathon shrugged, then looked back at the rest of the group. "Come on, then. Party isn't down here." He went past Phil, patting his shoulder as he did, before climbing up the rope ladder and through the trap door himself.

Anna hadn't wandered off for, like she usually did at parties. Instead, she was leaning up against the wall, looking at the inside of the shack. They had cleaned up the place since she last time she had been here. It still looked run down, but the dust and dirt had disappeared, and in it's place were gold and brown decorations. One of the kids who had shown up earlier had taken it upon to cast a spell that made the lights look more like black lights, causing anything white to glow a light purple. Music thudded through the small area, and most of the people who had shown up were dancing in the main room. It was hard to see people's faces, as the lights were flashing on and off and switching colours to the beat of the music. The stragglers were either in the hallway trying to have conversations, or up the stairs, trying to start up a game of strip whatever.

Johnathon looked down the trap door to make sure everyone was getting up it easily enough, before deciding they were better off by themselves and heading into the crowd. Anna sighed, not going towards the crowd like she usually would but instead sitting down at the bottom of the stairs, one elbow on her knee with her chin resting in her hand. The other held the Fire Whiskey loosely. She wasn't usually this sulky at parties, and she figured that after she drank a little she'd be like she always was.

Angelica had smirked to herself earlier that evening, when she was deciding what to wear to the party. Her sister had told her not to bring the little green dress she was planning on wearing. Told you I'd need it, Anastacia. Shows what you know, stupid bint. Angelica had managed to squeeze herself into the dress after pulling on some fishnet tights. After she had zipped herself into it, she strapped on her shoes. Heels probably weren't the wisest decision, since the meeting point for this party was apparently the Whomping Willow. Rolling her eyes, she buckled the shoes. She wanted to look good, and these heels were the way to go. After adorning her outfit with various accessories--earrings, a necklace, a bracelet--she went out to the Common Room to meet up with the other Slytherins who were also heading to the party. There were a few, and the group left their House together.

Angelica was astonished to see that the Whomping Willow was actually the meeting place. What on earth were they supposed to do near a tree? But then Anna poked the violent tree and it stopped moving. Angelica was momentarily horrified to see that she was supposed to go underground. In these heels? But she followed the group nonetheless. Angelica was close to the back of the group, but she stopped when someone near the front lit their wand. Someone spoke, and it seemed the wand belonged to Anna. The two had a short exchange, during which Angelica learned that Anna didn't only have her tongue pierced. Such class, she thought.

As the group moved forward, Angelica saw that they were to climb a rope ladder to get into the Shack. Surely there had to be another entrance. There was no way that Angelica could climb a rope ladder in her dress and heels. She watched Anna climb up with ease, followed by Johnathon. Taking a deep breath, Angelica strode forward and pulled herself up onto the ladder. It moved away from the stone wall of the tunnel and this just caused her to hold on tighter. After climbing up a few rungs, her foot slipped off one and she was quite sure she gave everyone below her a nice view of her bum. Perfect. She pulled herself up the rest of the way and smoothed her skirt over her thighs, glaring down into the tunnel to ensure that if anyone made any remarks, there would be hell to pay.

Stepping away from the trap door, Angelica finally turned around and looked around the Shack. It was dark, with occasional flashes of light that seemed to have been bewitched to pulsate with the beat of the music. A smirk appeared on Angelica's face. Looks fun, she thought, as she ventured further into the house, pouring herself a drink and smiling at nearly every boy she saw.

Moira adjusted her hair ribbon. She was wasting time really, waiting for the Whomping Willow to pivot its branches away from the knot so she could slip in unharmed. Now! She lunged forward, tapping the knot and slipping underground. Sensible heels for the occasion, although they still added much needed height. Moira made it to the trap door without so much as a stumble and smiled a little, proud of herself. Before her hung a rope ladder, a daunting task in any sort of heels. At least I'm alone. Not holding anyone up.

She took her time climbing up, letting each step fall evenly so she wouldn't end up on her arse at the bottom rung. Finally, she reached the door. Moira popped out quickly, smoothing down her dress self-consciously. She had just been traipsing around underground. The shack looked so different! Actually quite improved, with music and flashing lights and of course, mobs of people. Getting her bearings, Moira stepped away from the door and searched the crowd for a familiar face.

Night had fallen and the Slytherin dorms had begun to empty. Morgan took her time getting ready for the party. She didn't want to leave with one of the small groups that were assembling at the Whomping Willow. It seemed Angelica did however, since Morgan had watched her get dolled up and leave about twenty minutes ago. After the other girl had gone, the redhead finished putting on a light application of makeup, stepped into her boots, and slipped out the door. The common room was littered with a few of the younger students and Morgan was sure to give them a pointed look that they weren't to ask questions about what the upperclassmen were doing.

The walk out of the castle was uneventful, as was crossing the grounds to the Whomping Willow. The tree shook itself as Morgan approached. She quickly located a long, sturdy looking stick with which she pressed the knot at the base of the tree, freezing it. She tossed the stick to the side and made her way down into the underground passage. As she neared the end, she could hear the feint sound of music. Morgan grabbed hold of the rope ladder and easily climbed up the wrings and through the trap door at the top.

Shutting the trap door with her foot, the Slytherin scanned the room. The inside of the Shack was, thankfully, much nicer than the last time she had seen it. There were flashing lights and pounding music. Hoping there were silencing charms already in effect, Morgan added her own just to be safe. She then made her way to the refreshments, downing a shot of Fire Whiskey. Alcohol didn't effect her easily, but she wasn't sure where her breaking point was. She guessed she'd find out tonight. Pouring herself a surely spiked cup of punch, Morgan wandered over to Angelica who was already making eyes at the boys.

Seamus stood just before the Whomping Willow, watching a group of giggling girls try to find the knot to freeze the tree. Every time a limb would smash down they would scatter, squealing. If it kept up, someone would hear and all the fun would be ruined. He pulled his wand and darted quickly between the branches, jabbing the spot to still the tree. The twittering girls grouped together again and all slipped into the ground, thanking (and eying) him appreciatively. He contemplated following, but hung back. He would wait.

"How do I look?" Seamus turned at the voice. Finally. It felt like he'd been waiting for hours. She was a Ravenclaw, and entirely not immune to his charms. Boring but "Cute." He offered his arm and tugged her to that one knot, taking care of the tree and climbing into the passage to get to the party.

The entire trip she blathered. He was beginning to wonder how he could lose her at the Shack. A rope ladder appeared before them, and Seamus, ever the gentleman, allowed the girl to go first. It also gave an uninterrupted view of under her skirt. She climbed through the door and Seamus followed. The Shack looked better than he'd imagined, and was full of sound, light, and people. It was easy to slip away. He beelined for the Fire Whiskey, needed some after that trip. Quickly he knocked back a shot. Now he could begin watching the crowd. He spotted Morgan and Angelica first, and made his way over. "Ladies." He spoke loudly over the din, but not shouting. There was no need for that.

Chiara had taken her time getting ready, and as a result arrived at the Whomping Willow just in time to see a seventh year Slytherin boy slip through the tunnel. Seconds after, the branches of the tree were whipping around like normal. Quickly the blonde ducked through, freezing the knot with a stick that appeared to have been dropped by someone else earlier. Once she had reached the end end of the tunnel and found the ladder, she climbed up easily, unimpended by her three inch heels.

The Shrieking Shack had obviously been cleaned for the event. And whoever had done so had done a great job. But Chiara didn't bother to stand around and admire this; at once she had gotten herself a shot of Fire Whiskey, downed it, and grabbed another before she allowed herself the chance to look around the room. She spotted a familiar Ravenclaw sitting on the stairs, and approached with a bright smile.

"Anna!" she called brightly, smoothing the skirt of her dress before taking a seat next to her. "Why so gloomy? Party's already great." She downed her second shot of the alcohol easily. "Thanks for the invite, by the way." Though it had been more of a grudging sharing of details rather than an invite. But Chiara didn't mind how she found out about the party; the important thing was that she had.

Devi arrived at the Whomping Willow with the few Hufflepuffs that had decided to go to the party. There had been a large group of Hufflepuffs that had heard about the party, but most had decided not the go. She didn't understand the reasoning behind some of them not going, but she wasn't about to let it bother her. Luckily, she had managed to convince a few of her friends into tagging along with her, though she wasn't sure how long they would stay. For some reason, sneaking out and drinking didn't sit well with them.

Once the tree froze and everyone started filing in through the hole in the tree, the seventh year waited for everyone else to get through before she slipped through herself, lighting her wand as she took up the rear of the group. She followed quietly, quickly growing accustomed to the giggles from some of the other girls in the group. The group stopped suddenly and without warning, causing Devi to lurch straight into the people in front of her, trip over her own feet and wobble a few steps forward before she caught herself. Rather than being in the back of everyone else, she was much closer to the front. And she had still managed to miss what had caused everyone to stop.

Tugging down on her skirt a bit awkwardly, she watched as the two Ravenclaw's climbed up the rope ladder easily, and wondered how she would be able to do so in the heels she was wearing. There was a brief pause before Angelica stepped forward and pulled herself onto the ladder. How short the Slytherin's dress was became painfully clear, and Devi tried not to appreciate the way it looked on her. Not that she was trying very hard. The girl made it halfway up the ladder before her foot slipped and she showed everyone what she was wearing underneath her dress. Which wasn't much. Devi's eyes widened the slightest bit and she looked down at her feet, heat rising to her cheeks. She waited for a few more people to climb up through the trapdoor before she did so herself, making sure she went up long enough after Angelica did.

Once up, she moved a few feet away, staring in moderate amazement at how the inside of the Shack looked. Someone had cleaned it up, and although the music mixed in with the lights and people was a bit disorienting, she loved it. Tugging her skirt down once more, she wandered around the outside of the crowd, not quite sure on what to be doing.

Anna had yet to move from her spot on the stairs, instead watching at some of the late comers popped up out of the trapdoor. She recognized a few of them, specifically Seamus, who automatically seemed to ditch his date and head straight towards the alcohol. The scene caused her to choke out a tiny laugh and she lifted the bottle up to her mouth, taking her first drink of the night. The alcohol burned her throat, and she dropped the bottle back down into her lap when she heard Chiara call her name. Looking up at the Gryffindor, she raised the bottle up in greeting, a half smirk present on her face. "You look nice," she commented, watching as the other sixth year took a spot next to her on the stairs. Dropping her chin back onto the palm of her hand, she tilted her head so she'd be able to look at the other girl. "Not gloomy. Just thinking." she responded, which was only half the truth. The events from earlier on that day had caused her to be a bit down. But hopefully she wouldn't have to think much longer over them. When the girl thanked her for the invite she laughed. It wasn't so much an invite than the girl overhearing her talking to herself. Not that she much minded. Word of the party had spread through the school quickly. Chiara would have heard one way or another, she was sure.

Angelica had finished her first drink and was nearly halfway through the second by the time Morgan arrived and found her. Angelica had been looking over a boy across the room who looked older than the Hogwarts crowd when the redheaded Slytherin appeared at her elbow. "Morgs!" Angelica shouted, mostly to be heard over the music. "Finally, you made it! Having fun?" She nudged Morgan with her elbow. Her cheery demeanor was something of a surprise even to Angelica herself, but she merely chalked it up to the fun environment and the amount of alcohol that was already coursing through her system. She was a small girl, and had finished her first drink rather quickly.

Now that her friend had arrived, she had forgotten about the boy across the room. Not that it bothered her that much. "Morgs!" she shouted again. "Shots!" She grinned and disappeared into the kitchen to find the fullest bottle of Firewhiskey that she could. Never one to waste time, Angelica grabbed the first bottle of the stuff she saw and made her way back to Morgan, grabbing a few shot glasses on the way. By the time Angelica had set up the glasses on a small table and opened the bottle, Seamus had arrived. Giving him a nod, Angelica poured a shot for each of them. She knocked hers back quickly and poured herself another. She placed the bottle on the table and did her second shot.

Angelica glanced down at herself, making sure her skirt was showing enough of her legs, but not too much. Satisfied at the amount of thigh and cleavage that she had on display, she glanced up at Seamus, who she hoped was noticing as well. "So, how are you, Seamus?" The slight burn from the Firewhiskey was beginning to fade from her throat, so Angelica grabbed the cup that contained her original drink and took a sip. She looked around the shack again and saw a redheaded girl with a ribbon tied in her hair. A ribbon? Angelica snickered. Too easy. She looked the other way and made eye contact with the boy from before. Angelica gave him a small smile, but didn't move from her spot beside Morgan.

"Aw, did my sarcasm hurt your feelings?"

Silently a tawny flash crawled under the whipping branches of the whomping willow and attacked the knot in its roots, immobilizing the giant tree as a boy crept out from the trees. From the cautious scowl anyone could tell it was Ea. He slid into the opening and Moxy scampered up his legs and slid into his hood without a sound as she poked her head out and looked about. The kids who followed this latest arrival kept their distance, not wanting to set him off; this wasp among the butterflies. When the drunk at the entrance tried to hold him up, all it took was one look from those eyes and he backed off. 'Say what you will, being a pariah can have its perks.' he thought to himself, almost smiling. His face became almost bored as he stepped into the shack, looking about at what'd been done to the place.

The air was so thick with sweat and alcohol that he wouldn't be surprised if the tiniest spark made the place go sky-high. The potential explosion made his wand itch in his pocket, but he ignored it. One could wonder why on earth he'd bring his black shuck wand to a party, but Ea had a saying Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it... Ea picked up a bowl of chips and went off into a less-crowded area, almost wanting to leave right then and there. But he'd said he'd stay for a minute or two and that's what he'd do. After all, the alternative was sleeping. That's when he saw Anna. She looked gorgeous enough that his eye was trained on her for a moment before he almost smiled. But just as quickly as this had occurred, he looked somewhere else and his bored expression returned.

"Well, I guess you'll just have to go into your wee little emo-corner and have yourself a cry then."

Angelica poured the three shots of what Seamus assumed to be Firewhiskey, but he couldn't quite tell in the alternating light and darkness provided by the shack. Didn't much matter. He knocked it back and smiled his thanks. The burn confirmed Firewhiskey, and he offered his glass for a refill. "Better now. And you?" He was including Morgan in the question, but his eyes were on Angelica. She was all leg in her dress and although he'd only been there a few minutes, he'd already heard the students she came with got a peek of the underneath on the ladder. Clearly I left with the wrong group. The thought reminded him of who he had come with, and Seamus quickly scanned the room. He'd have to have a good buzz going to put up with that girl.

It was hard to get a good look at anyone as people moved around her, some entering from the trap door and others milling about the room, dancing, drinking. Moira's eye shot to the refreshments table. Firewhiskey. She tried moving into the wall of people but they were not easily parted. A determined, if not a little amused, smirk graced her face, and Moira shouldered into the crowd, forcing her way to the shots. She downed one quickly, letting it warm her throat.

Morgan was nearby and Moira waved although she wasn't sure the red head would see her. I should have waited for the rest of the girls. I'm just going to stand here and get snockered by myself. She interrupted her own inner monologue when Devi passed by, looking as lost as Moira. They'd had a few classes together but Moira hadn't known she was coming. She helped herself to two more shots, one for each hand, and brought one to the Hufflepuff saying, "Here. Something to do" with a laugh.

Morgan was a bit taken aback by Angelica's enthusiasm. But it was a pretty good environment after all. She smiled at her friend. "I did! Haha, I am having fun, yes." Half her drink was gone and she paused to take another long sip from her cup. Morgan looked up from her drink when the other girl called her name again, quickly followed by "shots". The redhead laughed lightly as Angelica slipped away to find the necessary equipment. Seamus joined their ranks a moment before the girl returned. Morgan smiled a hello at him while watching Angelica busy herself with the shot glasses and what could be assumed to be Fire Wiskey.

Tipping back her cup, the redhead downed what remained of her drink and set the empty cup aside. She picked up the shot Angelica had poured for her, raised it in front of her in a "cheers" motion, and then easily drank it. The burning in the back of her throat was quite pleasant and she joined Angelica in a second shot. She answered Seamus' question with a quick "Just fine." because it was apparent he was more interested in the ample amount of skin Angelica was displaying than her answer. Two more shots had made it past Morgans lips in the time that it took for Seamus to stop ogling Angelica. She busied herself scanning the room for familiar faces.
