Narx sits in the middle of the spherical room, his light green eyes pleasantly wandering across the room. alone. all alone, and silent too. Narx gently closed his eyes and rose to stand, his movements were so smooth it almost looked like he floated to a stand. his lips moved wordlessly chanting "35 Oblivion's Ray, Light, shine, break; ray from the Goddess’s hand reach my own... Three lights, three days, shatter all that gets in your way. Pierce and descend from the heavens." Narx's hands moved through the air, forming a pentacle shape. A burst of light shot from his fingertips in a straight line. Narx with his thumb pushed Kuro-Hi out one centimeter. and before the blast could hit the wall, it disappeared completely. and the the room went black. "still too weak a spell..." Narx muttered under his breathe. then when he let go of Kuro-Hi's hilt the light was restored to the room. Narx absently stared at the glowing walls like a child, then he sat down again meditating.

Kazana knocked on the door outside the training grounds. Not to long ago, she received a message from an old friend of hers. Captain of Squad 10, Narx. They have been good friends for a while and quite frankly, Kazana wanted to talk to him. It felt like ages since they did have a decent conversation.
Kazana waited paitently for someone to either answer the door or someone letting her in.
"I wonder why Narx wanted to see me. He said it was important and needed my help. Hmmm." Kazana thought while waiting outside.

Narx's head snapped to his left, Kazana was here, his old friend, Narx pushed the hilt of his blade out, revealing part of the blade. the door immediately opened. Narx let his blade sink back in the sheath. he stood up and bowed towards Kazana. "Kazana! please come in." Narx then sat down again in the center of then spherical room.

Kazana smiled and replied, "You know you don't have to be extremely formal for me Narx."
Kazana strided to where Narx was sitting and sat down in front of him. She put her silver zanpaku-to to her side. She sat up straight and said, "So, you summoned?"

Narx smirked, "Summoned? now who is being formal?" Narx lifted his blade an inch out once more, a door opened and a servant walked in with Tea. he poured each a glass, then left. "Kazana, Kazana, its been too long.. how is the nerd squad doing these days?" Narx smiled braodly holding it in.

Kazana laughed at his remark of her squad being full of nerds. Its true that they were one of the smartest in the Gotei. But to Kazana, they hardly got anything done.
"My Squad? A bunch of idiots if you ask me." Kazana remarked then took a sip of her tea.

"Heheheh, you should try the police squad!! my squad was designed for idiots.." Narx leaned back onto his side sipping tea. "But, they do the job. and thats what matters.. " Narx sighed looking downwards. "Yet, its so boring.. nothing ever happens. the human world is just full of evil shinobi and junk..I hear there is a war brewing, if not already in state."

Kazana placed her cup down and looked into it as she replied, "So I've heard. I ran into the hokage not to long ago when I was in the human world. I fear that the Gotei might break apart if we don't choose our allies carefully. It would also help if squad 1 was still here as well however, they were wiped out and what happened to them is only a file in my records."
Kazana sighed as she took another sip. "I fear it won't be long until we all have to face the shinobi and the bijuu. Whatever happens in this war will definately affect the balance of our worlds we so desperately preserve. What's ironic is that we are going at war with the humans we try to protect."

Narx smirked at her last comment, "Whats also ironic, is that when they die they just become one of us.. so in the end..we win no matter what.." Narx thought about it all for a minute. sereitei was only a reflection of its former self. on the brink of a war that would surely end mankind. "What side do you take...Kazana..?" this was a serious question.. could mean life or death. Narx stared at her, his eyes narrowed.

Kazana sighed, "My loyalties will and forever lie with the Soul Society not only as a captain but, a comrade in arms. However, with this war going on, it almost seems that loyalty has lost its touch. Due to the fact that the Gotei is broken and none of the other captains are willing to cooperate with eachother."
Kazana looked into her cup and also remarked, "If we have to face the bijuu, I also may have to revert to what truly lies within my veins."
Kazana had an evil, grotesque spirit that was sealed inside her. The only person she told about the spirit was Narx. She knew that he had seen what that demon was capable of and what it would do to her body and soul if it stayed the dominate spirit.

Narx nodded sighing. "hopefully you never have to unleash that.. I don't like ..that thing.." Narx gave her a reassuring look, then straightened in his seat. "I'm not loyal to Soul Society, but what it stands for, the protection and peace of the souls that exist within its boundaries." Narx narrowed his eyes staring into his cup of tea. "We should not go to war with anyone who does not in any way threaten our peaceful existence. two paralel worlds never need to collide. such a collision would throw it off balance. such would implode all as we know it..." Narx knew what he said had serious implications. he looked at Kazana to see her reaction.

"I don't like it either, I hate waking up from nightmares." Kazana remarked. She had frequent nightmares, and sometime they can get worse. Sometimes Kazana even won't go to sleep because of them and just stay up all night in her office doing paperwork when she should be resting.
"In a way, I agree with you. As I said, loyalty is meaningless here. If our worlds do collide, it could mean the end of everything as we know it. Frankly I don't want to see what happens." Kazana replied to Narx. Both of them knew the dangers of what could happen and frankly, reality was starting to shake both of them.

Narx looked at Kazana and smiled, he was glad to have a friend like her. he knew if he needed he could depend on her for almost anything. "well, whatever we do, Kazana you can count on me to get your back. at least were not alone eh?" Narx was happyier at this thought. two squad captains were far better then one. especially intelligence with police. Narx had the largest squad and with the Kazana now had the tactical advantage.

Kazana smiled, "I don't think we'll ever be alone. The seiretei is way too big to make anyone feel lonely."
Kazana loved having Narx as a friend. He always seemed to make her day brighter and he was an extremely fierce fighter and always seem to get Kazana out of extremely sticky situations. He always was someone she could rely on.
