Shield Island is the first of many islands a group will face when coming to the empire. Because all that is around the island is ocean for miles, it serves as a border post. The Island itself is lush with foliage on the outskirts of the island, and is bordered by beautiful sandy beaches. But, the great looks stop there, as in the center of the island, there is a huge volcano with many factories and such on it, all of these buildings are to help better prepare the armies that live here. This place is off limits to all civilians, and water mines are dispersed bountifully in the surrounding waters, making a underwater fence spanning to various other frontline islands.
When coming into the empire from another, one must first post in Shield Island, stating how many are entering, why, and what weapons are being carried. If the form is acceptale, a guard will disarm a few mines and let you pass.

A large shadow loomed over the water slowly gliding along at a low altitude, but high enough to move over the land and water without threat of anyone or anything being able to simply jump aboared or cause any trouble. Asura stood at the front of the deck as the ship was set to auto pilot through the area, he was taking this path towards the sky fortress sagittarius, and along the way simply stumbled into this area. urious as to what was around Asura decided to look around incase there was anything of interest.
''What a lovely looking scenery, a nice sea, a nice breeze, and nice looking islands...'' Asura said as he saw then in the distance factories and variouse industrial type buildings. Junichiro's calm and somewhat happy ton became a more disappointed yet comical tone as he slouched his shoulers forward as he began sulking somewhat in a slightly funny sort of manner and said, ''Well I could not have spoke any sooner to ruin the moment now could I ?'' A moment of silence passed before a voice appeared in his head in a sort of deep tone of voice but in a very childish manner said, ''LOOK! STUFF!!! Lets go see lets go see! maybe there is a GIFT SHOP!'' Asura sighed again slouching further forward.
ASura spoke in a slightly annoyed manner as he pulled himself upright looking across the islands. ''No, I can't imagine we are supposed to go down there, and thinking about it we may not even be allowed in this entire area....but I will aggree we should maybe investiage a little further at least...'' Asura said with a slight smile before the annoyingly childish male voice spoke in his head again. ''Thats unfair Asura! I want a souvenire!!!'' Asura simply faced palmed and let the voice in his head whine as he progressed further through the islands.

Maria stood on a deck of a boat as it made its way towards an island. She sighed upon looking at the beautiful ocean then at the view of the factories.
"The factories kinda mess with the beautiful view of the ocean." she said, sighing. "Well at least I can't wait to get onto land, I want to get my land legs back." She laughed a little, "Maybe they have a pretty legit marketplace as well." She smiled, then gave a small laugh. "Maybe they'll be some cute guys too." She said, talking to herself. She gave quick glanced around her to make sure no one had saw her talking to herself.

The ship drifted on course towards the islands, the view of the factories becoming more distinct, along the way in the beautiful clear ocean was a small boat, this seemed out of place to Asura as these islands did not seemed the type to imploy small boats such as this. Asura decided to make his large bomber ship hault and simply hover nearby. ''Aries, bring up a visual of the boat and who is on it...'' Asura requested of the ship, ''Yes captain...displaying visuals now...'' The ship spoke calmly as holographic projection formed infront of Asura displaying the boat at a closer magnification, and as such displayed the image of the girl aboared.
Asura let a subtle smile spead on his face. ''Well, well, this is interesting...What is a girl doing way out here in a place like this in a dinky boat like that all alone...'' Asura said with a slight chuckle, though the annoying voice in his head returned quickly progressing to say, ''OOO! she's cute! Hey Asura are you going to date her! NO WAIT! or maybe MARRY HER!'' Asura attempted to but in but failed as the voice continued its rambling, ''Hmmm, maybe it is too soon for any of that....I know....Asura...can I eat her?...''. Mortified Asura shouted to himself ''No you idiot how can you say something so stupid!, Now behve and be quiet, only speak if you have something useful to say...'' The voice sniffled in its head and went quiet.
Asura then gave a new order to his ship, ''Aries move in closer and descend to a low enough altitude to avoid the water but keep me within sight and ear shot of her alright!'' The ship complied again without hesitation, ''Yes captain understood'' The holographic screen disappeared as Asura leaned over the side as the ship descended to a lower altitude. Once the girl was visible he then shouted down to her in a cheerful voice While waving at her to make sure he got her attention one way or another. ''Hey! It is probably not safe for a lone girl in a little boat to go into those islands alone you know! Maybe I can offer you a ride?''.

The ship the Fire Lord and Lady were on continued its destination towards the Island. Kaji shivered as the weather started to drop and the sky darkened to night. It was his first time stepping foot outside the Fire Empire, and he didn't like it. The cold wind blew in his face and the harsh temperature constantly made his shiver. His goosebumps surfaced his skin repeatedly, since his jacket wasn't near enough to protect him. He rubbed his hands and exhaled hot breath on them. He centered his magic on his breath and blew hotter and hotter air until his hands were close to suffering first degree burns. He frowned and decided to stop before things got too serious. His jacket dramatically danced with the wind as the ship ceased to stop. He approached one of the Water/Ice empires guards and looked him in the eye, sizing him up.
"The names Kaji Skye, also known as Fire Lord. This is Aleria, the Fire Lady, and the guard boy. We carry no weapons, but the guard here has a sword. Our reason you ask? To speak with Lord Kira."

 Aleria Skye Soft-Spoken | Determined| Fire Empire | Moon Elf -------------------- xxxxUnused to the unnatural chill that lay over the Water and Ice Empire, Aleria wrapped her arms around herself tightly, shivering as the wind made the hem of her white dress dance and snap in the frosty air. She watched warily as Kaji approached one of the larger guards with a quick, hostile speech. Deciding it would be best to intervene, she dragged Aragorn along with her to approach her brother and the guard.
“My name is Aleria Skye, and this is my brother. I carry no weaponry, but my guard has a sword. We wish to propose a treaty with Lord Kira.” She murmured over the roar and crash of the waves, placing a hand on her brother’s arm. Her other hand was still closed around Aragorn’s wrist, her fingertips not even close to touching one another. The man had arms like an ape.
Aleria waited patiently for the guard to allow them passage, still holding onto Aragorn as if he were a life preserver. “You live your life to the fullest, and somewhere along the road, you fall in love. You don’t know how or why...
but it happens, and it’s the thing that can make or break you.”

 Aragorn =========================================== Aragorn had a cloak over himself and his armor. He was burning up. He looked over at Lady Aleria. He saw that she was shivering so he unfastened the knot that kept his cloak on and put it over her shoulders. He then tied the knot again. He did all this while smiling. She couldn't see it though. He was also very tempted to make fire, but didn't because he did not know how the guards would react to fire just appearing out of no where. Most people didn't even know that he wasn't a full human. Only his fellow Amanojaku knew what he was. Aragorn then turned to look at the guard that Lady Skye was talking to and showed him his sword. "I'm not going to use it on anyone in here, unless forced to." -------------------- xxxxTaken aback by his simple act of kindness, along with his whisper, Aleria smiled at Aragorn. Her silvery eyes looked directly into the vision slit in his helmet, speculating about how his face looked. Eventually, she released his arm unwillingly, still smiling.
“Thank you.” Her voice was, as Aragorn’s was, no more than a whisper, and a shy one at that. “We come from the Fire Empire to bring peace with us.” She murmured to the guard, her eyes locking onto his. “Now unless you wish to have my death on your hands from the cold, you will grant us safe passage.” Her eyes flashed dangerously at the end of that statement as she drew herself up to her full height. The thick, dark wool cloak trapped enough of her body heat to keep her from shivering, but the warmth, she knew, wouldn’t last long. “You live your life to the fullest, and somewhere along the road, you fall in love. Aragorn =========================================== Aragorn could tell that she wanted to know what his face looked like from how she looked at him. Right now he was close to showing her. It's not that he looked ugly that he didn't show his face it's because it's one of the only ways someone could track him down. In fact the guard that gave him this job asked him why he wanted to hide his face. He never answered. Aragorn looked at the man. He thought that he was maybe a low ranking soldier, maybe a peasant forced to do this. He pitied the man. This was dull, cold work. If he was given the choice of either guarding the Fire Lady and Lord or trading places with this man. He would keep his position and take the man with him. He turned and looked back at Lady Skye. Aleria Skye Soft-Spoken | Determined| Fire Empire | Moon Elf-------------------- xxxxWaiting silently for passage, Aleria eventually simply sat herself on a cushioned bench, pulling Aragorn along with her, and wrapped herself completely in his cloak, breathing in the smell of the raw wool, of the iron in his armor, of Aragorn himself. She curled up into a ball under the thick wool cloak, pulling her feet up to rest on the edge of the bench and hugging her knees to her chest. Her eyes drifted closed as she pulled up the cloak to cover her face up to her nose. Pulling her guard down to sit next to her, Aleria finally spoke.

 Aragorn =========================================== Aragorn looked at her. He was falling in love. The way she was keeping herself warm with his cloak. The way she talked. Even the way she wanted him to be with her. He moved his hands up to his helmet and picked it up. His face was handsome. He had black eyes. and black hair. Aragorn had a smile on his face. "This is what I look like." You could see the passionate love in his eyes. His face was slightly red from blushing. Aragorn grabbed the part of the cloak that was close to him and pulled it open. He then slide over to right next to her and covered them up. Aleria Skye Soft-Spoken | Determined| Fire Empire | Moon Elf-------------------- xxxxAleria’s silver eyes snapped open, wide with shock when she saw that Aragorn had pulled his helmet off to reveal his face to her. All traces of the warm sleepiness that had just blanketed her mind gone, she reached up gently to touch her fingertips to Aragorn’s face, tracing the very tip of her index finger over the lavender shadow under his right eye. Her fingertips were cold, almost numb, but she found herself not particularly caring. Her fingers whispered quickly, lightly, over his face like those of a blind person as Aleria stored everything away in her memory. Moving with deliberate slowness, she gently rested her head against Aragorn’s shoulder, snuggling against her guard.
xxxx“I dislike this place. It’s too cold. And the air feels… wrong.” Her voice was barely a whisper as she closes her eyes. There was too much moisture in the air, too much water and ice around them. The arctic chill of the place felt wrong. She felt like she was trapped in a special kind of anti-fire hell. Glad that she had asked Aragorn to accompany herself and her brother, her eyes drifted closed as she waited for him to speak again, not caring what he said as long as she could hear his voice.
xxxxKaji is going to throw a fit when he sees us, Aleria thought to herself as she listened to the cold brittleness of the arctic night. And it will be something like “favoring your guard, blah, blah, blah, irresponsible, blah, blah, blah, should be focusing on your duty to your people instead of falling in love with your guard. Her thoughts stopped dead once those words entered her mind. Love. Was this what was going on? Was she falling in love with Aragorn? She didn’t know, but the thought alone was enough to make her draw in a confused breath. She had never felt any kind of love, except for the kind she held for her brother. Aragorn =========================================== Aragorn blushed deeper when she started feeling his face. "I can make it warmer. He made fire appear in his left hand. The cloak was made to be fire proof so it wouldn't go up in flames when he used this ability. He moved closer to Lady Skye. He looked into her eyes. "Damn she is beautiful." His body acting of its own accord started to move his head closer to her. His right hand started moving behind her. He scooted closer so that their legs were touching. He leaned towards her lips. His right hand was on her lower back. "If we get caught this will be the end of me." With this ability they are able to shoot, control, and conjure the flames that circulate around their bodies. The fire can be controlled with the use of their hands to guide the flames like a tidal wave. They can conjure the fire and manipulate it's shape into that of a sword, whip, etc.

Aleria Skye Soft-Spoken | Determined| Fire Empire | Moon Elf-------------------- xxxxAleria’s breath caught in her chest as Aragorn stared into her eyes, moving closer by infinitesimal degrees. Ignoring the nagging voice that was reprimanding her for becoming involved with her guard, she leaned forward slowly, hesitatingly, stopping just short of touching her lips to his. She felt the warm pressure of his hand on her back and slid closer to him in one fluid motion. Your brother will kill him if he so much as touches you, the voice reminded her. She resisted the urge to smirk at the very thought. Kaji wouldn’t so much as lay a finger on her, she was well aware. Even if he did, Aleria could take him.
xxxx“Are you sure?” Her breathless whisper filled the silence between them, her silver eyes searching her face for some kind of hesitation. She could feel the warmth radiating off of both him, and the conjured fire as she wondered idly what he was, or if he just excelled at fire manipulation. Aleria was still stunned that he wasn’t afraid of her. Everyone else in the Fire Empire was. Everyone was afraid of the psychotic queen who talked to herself and had creepy silver eyes. No one other than Kaji had ever gotten to know the woman under that. It almost scared her that someone would want to know the real her. Even she didn’t fully know herself.
xxxxRather than giving Aragorn the chance to answer, the chance to slip away, she closed the distance between them slowly, finally tilting her face up to look into his eyes and allowing their lips to meet. A small explosion seemed to take place within Aleria as she blushed a deep scarlet, right to the roots of her ash blonde hair. Her sanity screamed at her that she was making a mistake, that her actions could get Aragorn fired, if not killed. But it was at that exact moment that she decided that it didn’t matter. She and Kaji were the strongest people in the Fire Empire. She could take care of herself, and of Aragorn, if need be. “You live your life to the fullest, and somewhere along the road, you fall in love. You don’t know how or why...
