Despite what most believe, the underworld is not "Hell" or even the final resting place for all spirits - But rather it is a Enclosure made for the safety of the living realm. As a soul dies some times it can become confused, lost.. or in denial that it has died... Then it starts what is known as 'looping' replaying endlessly old memories trying to gather it's self to find out what happen... Most never get out from this loop... but once a soul is in it there is two things that generally happen... The soul can find it's way and become awake, and know what is going on and can make it's way to the afterlife.... or... it can become frustrated and snap into a rage, twisting it's from... and over time become waken.. but in a different way... opened with new eyes.. as a tainted spirit... a demon....

in short... the under world, keeps lost souls so if they do turn into tainted spirits, the spirits don't attack the living who generally can't fight them.


The Underworld it self is generally a gloomy place, dark tunnels and archways in a fashion similar to that of Gothic terms, but in few places within the underworld be actually be rather beautiful, large areas illuminated with crystals and glowing mushrooms, even flowers and small plants are able to grow in these areas, it not uncommon too for the spirits of lost children to be drawn to these places - playing together to ease their suffering. within the underworld is said to be many chambers of old libraries - however long turned to dust, many cluttered with old used hourglasses. it is said too that hidden somewhere deep within the underworld is the "Dark Lord's Throne Room"


Many times when the living die they may end up here - even for a short time, many of these reasons as said above would be to make sure they don't harm the living - but rarely a spirit can be recruited - it typically in rages the servants of the Ethereal Rift when the servants of the underworld take a perfectly normal spirit to the underworld in order to convince it to take the job of becoming a worker of the underworld - but it is rarely done, and normally only when they become short handed (short handed means more spirits wandering the realm - more spirits wandering the realm, more death - more death, more spirits wandering the world - it's something they don't take lightly and are quick to correct at all costs.) ; typically servants come on their own free will from the Ethereal Rift - but that too is also rare. (the underworld isn't exactly the best place to work) - these typical normal spirits that are taken to the underworld general have many of the same things in common, their bodies are not too badly damage from death, they have skills in combat or magic, they have passionate and strong spiritual connections to the living world.... Commonly the servants of the underworld are called "Reapers"...

Reapers in General:
Reapers of any kind can not die... their souls unnaturally fused with their bodies, so after long wear and tare they make take on the appearance of that of a broken/stitched doll or zombie, they are very slow healers x6 times slow then normal healing... and the only things that can't be burned or broken in their bones... but if somehow their bones are turned into dust, they do not die... but Seats to exists...

Lost Soul Reapers: This Is the most well known Reaper job, Taking troublesome souls From the living world that could not or will not pass over into the next life into the underworld...

Soul Guiders: Once a Lost or misplaced soul is taken to the underworld Soul Guiders will helps these souls try to regain consciousness and hopefully move on to the Ethereal Rift, or at the very lest keep them from turning into demons...


Underworld Guards: Very Power, and very Simple... Keep the living out, keep the dead in the underworld... also the controllers of the portals into the underworld, also the ones that hunt down souls that 'got away'

Soul Rebirthers: Rare and typcaly only done by the servants of the Ethereal Rift, only reapers who are fully healthy with no wounds can even be Soul Rebirthers... Which is hard because reapers heal very slowly.. these reaper are normally very young in age appearance... Their jobs are to help lost souls that have woken from being lost return to the land of the living by means of being reborn wheb they do not wish to go to the Ethereal Rift...

Soul Seeker: finding souls that had wondered form their body (Not always dead) and are running lose in the living realm, Return them to their bodies or send them to the under world, if to powerful, return to underworld and report it... Also Known as their "Book Makers"

Dipps tumbled out of a newly opened portal. He rolled for a moment before hitting his head against the wall and stopping. "Owie..." he groaned, rubbing his head in pain. Once he felt better and looked around at his new surroundings in awe. "So this is it huh...?" He muttered to himself before glancing to the portal he had just fallen out of.

With a quick glance, one could see that the passageway torches where lit, and the place had been taken care of since Grim's absence. Although however, it was rather quieter then normal.

Dipps nodded and carefully stayed close to Grim. "He was a pretty mean guy in life..." He gulped down his words as he thought about where he might be. "I would put my money on him being where all the scariest mean people go." He whimpered thinking about it, for he really had no clue what to expect. Glancing down the halls, he couldn't help but feel like he was being watched. "D-d-d-d-do you think Zargate is here? Being the God of Death and all I would think he would be." He paused as he glanced behind himself before looking forward once more. "Is he nice...? I know Diana said he was...but he is a God after all."

Dipps glanced about the room, and lingered just a moment. He couldn't quiet put his claw on it, but he felt very nervous here too. He just assumed it was because he was still living. And there were many places in this world that the living should not tread. "You don't say..." He then spoke fairly silently. He glanced to Grim and quickly caught up to him. "From the stories I have been told, many say Zargate was born before the Great War. But what about before him?" He paused and glanced to the walls that made up the strange hallways. "These stones...they are much older then that war. Much older. Was there someone here before him?"

"The Dark Lord?!" Dipps gasped as Grim told him the terrible news. "He once ruled this place..." The thought lingered in his mind. The thing that attack Forgiven and cursed both her and Diana was him. He couldn't shake the feeling something was most terribly wrong with his sudden reemergence. Dipps continued to stay as close as he could to Grim as he walked. "I do hope we get there soon."

Deep within the Mirror wing lay in wait the dragon spirit once known as Super Nova. He was chained in place with large thick chains that had been wrapped around him and surrounding area. The spirit still looked like he did on the day he died, although the final killing wound made by Dune was left gaping open, emitting a pale green light and oozing spiritual blood. The spirit soon opened it's eyes and looked to the entrance, almost as if it knew they would arrive soon.

Dipps gulped at the sight of all the mirror and didn't dare touch a single one. It was only when Grim opened one of the mirrors did he stop. He gazed in, not sure what to do or say but without much hesitation he entered. "Hello..." He then said to the spirit. "I've come with questions."

"Curse that fool. I've got no time for such trifles. Do I know you?" Super Nova then spoke, his eerie spiritual voice echoing about the chamber. "He is here watching me." The spirit then looked about the place fearfully. "I've run so far and done so much." With the next phrase he grew sad. "Is that blood mine?" He then gasped as he looked to his chained claws. "Where was I last?" He tilted his head and looked up. "Did you find her?" He then barked. "Curse that fool. I've got no time for such trifles. Do I know you?" The spirit continued to speak the same lines over and repeated the action once more.

"Super Nova I need your help!" No matter how Dipps pleaded with the spirit, it could not break the pattern. He then turned to Grim concerned. "He's...he's on repeat."
