Fael's family has been priests of Mah’Paralo for as far back as the pedigree of his family goes. His father, the night after his conception with Fael’s mother, had a prophecy, which he believes was implanted in his head, directly from Mah’Paralo himself. Fael’s father told of his prophecy to the other priests of Mah’Paralo. The prophecy consisted of images, blurry non-descript ones, of Fael living amongst the common, and had images of piles of letters from Fael back to his Garrion home. Fael although suitable to be a priest in every fashion was not fit in one condition, he lacked any sort of physical disability, which Mah’Paralo priests were renowned for. When Fael reached the typical age in which Garrion are given life decisions, it was decided that due to Fael’s families long-standing relationship with the temple that Fael be given early access to a spiritual journey, and spend seek guidance from Mah’Paralo himself, because the priests were unsure what to do about this, a rare honor indeed.
Fael spent a day and a half on his journey, when his eyes opened, he seemed in a trance like state, “It is my mission. My calling. Listen to me. I am to become a concubine, a servant of priests and all others who have valid need of me, but not to serve Mah’Paralo, he has a higher calling for me, one to help all Garrion across the world. I will go, leave this place of Garrion and become a concubine in the Kingdom, once there I will make a reputation for myself, and be able to get into a position to relay sensitive information back to Garrion, and help turn the tide of war in our favor.” Fael’s passed out for another day, when he awoke, he remembered nothing, but the priests hadn’t stopped talking. It was decided Fael would be sent on his god-given mission, but it meant Fael would have to be in exile for the rest of his life, but Fael’s patriotic love of Garrion sustained him, and made him able to cope with being without his people.

Fael is an opportunist, who has a great patriotic love of all things Garrion, his morals do not lie on good or evil, because depending on the situation his decisions will be largely different. Fael is non-violent, a pacifist, and believes strongly in the power of words and knowledge, using both to accomplish goals, thus he wants to end this war. However, when the Garrion nation is involved, he is not unwilling to compromise his beliefs.

Cherch is a Mah’Paralo priest in the Kingdom city Capital, who has been charged with looking after Fael during his early years, and there after while he goes about completing the mission given un to him by Mah’Paralo himself during Fael’s spirit journey. Cherch became the lead priest of the kingdom via death of the last leader priest… the cause of death was never found out, the investigation was put on hold, however Cherch was at the center, as a prime suspect. Currently, Cherch is looking after Fael and running the temple.

Cherch is extremely vain due to his pureblood garrion status, and high rank in the Mah’Paralo priestly order. He absolutely hates Fael, because he has never been fully recognized for the job he has done with the temple. It used to be rundown, tarnished statues and poor offerings, however Cherch has turned the temple around. However Fael, a child of more than half his years, has been given a special mission by god? It’s almost too much for Cherch to handle, and in addition he turned down priesthood as a pureblood, which only serves to infuriate Cherch more. Cherch is not really involved as a guardian in anything more than name with Fael, he wants nothing to do with him, and only gives help or advice at a price. Cherch is extremely commited to his job, and following the rules to the letter, but at the same time, he is completely racist against mixed blood garrions.

Fael currently lives outside the temple of Mah'Paralo in the Kingdom Capital of Naplan. His dwelling is a small, dinky, shack that consists of a picture of his old home in the Garrion Capital. A picture of his mother and father sits on a desk, alongside his a packet of parchment paper and an inkwell, the pen is always inside. The wallpaper is yellow with ornate flowers, and is peeling off the walls of the shack. The flooring is made of wood, and constantly splinters off into Fael's foot.

Fael has left home for Naplan in the Kingdom with Cherch, and obtained his possession box. Upon arriving in Naplan, Cherch sends Fael on an arrand to pick up an artifact that was being refurbished, and while on his mission, he meets August, a common boy who is under the care of Szilard, the blacksmith who was tasked with refurbishing the artifact.
