I thought Schwarz Stein really should have a thread here since Mana produced them and because their awsome=)
History
Schwarz Stein started out as Rudolf Steiner with Hora on keyboard and Hime (as Kaya called himself then, hime wich means princess in Japanese) on vocals.
Kaya was in a band called Isola when he was on a club where Hora's band (at that point) played and they became friends, they realised that they had the same musical vision and started Rudolf Steiner in 2000. Speculations have been made as to the origins of the name, and it is generally agreed that it is a reference to either the occultist or one of the characters from a video game Hora really liked back then.
They released two demo tapes, Queen of Decadence and Perfect Garden.
In 2002, Mana was looking for a band to produce and saw Rudolf Steiner in a music magazine so he went to see them and just before that they changed their name to Schwarz Stein and Hime changed name to Kaya.
They were the open act for Moi Dix Mois and after that they went on a tour on their own. They released two full albums; Artificial Hallucination and New Vogue Children and two singles; Perfect Garden and Current.
The concept for Schwarz Stein was "near future digital decadence" with Hora as the near future and Kaya as the decadence, they said that their goal was for the music to sound as electrical as it possibly could.
March 29, 2004 they dissided to disband, because their musical goals had diverged too much for them to work together anymore (wich is a bit ironic since Hora has made several songs for Kaya's solo). They played a revival gig at Mana's Dis Inferno 2004. After that they both went solo and are still active.
