((Begin! The story is in the same time line with MFHS, so we're starting in the middle of the school year.))

Evermore was sitting on the railing on the 2nd floor that separated the ground on the second floor and the drop off to the 1st floor. From there, she could look at who came from and went to what class on the 1st floor. Of course, she was meditating, so she wouldn't be paying much attention to that, but off and on, she could look down and observe. Her own classes didn't start for another couple of hours.

She was sitting with crossed legs and her hands resting on her thighs in a relaxed palms-down position.

A Large hawk circled the sky over Bai Ching To most on the ground it appeared to be nothing more then a spec of dirt on the otherwise blank sky. slowly the hawk descended, spiraling slowly downwards until it had dipped lower then the highest tower of the school. It hovered a moment observing the student, the teachers, the rabbit scurrying into the woods Nothing escaped the sight of the hawk's eyes.

When It was satisfied It gave a loud screech, folding it's wings plummeting towards the ground. not even a second passed before it opened it's wings stopping itself two feet above the walkway. It hovered only a second before landing gracefully on the ground the sound of it's razor sharp talons scratching the walkway.

it looked at the awed students before it's body began to alter itself, It's feathers disappearing as it's wings changed to arms it's talons to feet. The hawks body took on that of a humans and the feathers on it's head changed into light brown hair. Soon the hawk standing in front of the students became a teenage boy. He wore loose, ragged, cloth pants as well as a poorly crafted Brown vest covered his torso. He looked at the still confused students once more and walked away calmly giving nothing but the sound of his bare feet on the walkway to the students.

Magical Dabbler

Arielle sat calmly behind her desk in the Headmistress' tower, reading a document her secretary had brought to her. It wasn't anything particularly interesting, to be quite honest, but it was nonetheless important, and as such, it deserved her full attention. Her reading glasses would occasionally slip down her nose (she needed to have that fixed; the arms were much too long), and she would gracefully push them back up to rest where they were intended to rest. Nodding slightly to herself upon finishing the document, she signed it--a beautiful, flowing signature--and placed it neatly into her 'outbox'.

Deciding that she had done enough paperwork for the moment, as there was very little left and it did not require her immediate attention, she stood and gathered her Headmistress' robes before exiting the tower to walk the halls of Bai Ching and check in on the classes. She very much loved doing this while it was still relatively early in the school morning because the stained-glass windows in the main hall cast such beautiful colors upon the walls and floor. There were very few mornings where she did not make this trek, and those were the most busy of mornings; it was a part of her schedule, and she loved her schedule.

A loud yawn could be heard, as a girl with long, blond hair and Huski like dog ears walked down the hallways, exhausted after having stayed up all night to finish a project she had forgotten about until the last possible moment. Akira Riiva barely noticed, especially right now, the curious stares and sometimes glares she received from the other students, as she passed by them. After all, Demons, especially Half Dog Demons, in Bai Ching were quite rare.

In general, Demons were, and still are, considered dark creatures, who practice evil and black magic, so of course they wouldn't be going to a school focuesing on light magic! But, having been brought up by light based creatures herself, Akira was not like them at all and was extremely happy to be at this school.

...Except right now! Stupid projects that caused her to miss out on sleep! She needed the energy for her training, dammit!

((Wow!! Such awesome posts, everyone! biggrin I really am blown away. Very cool! biggrin But only 1 character is in the vicinity of Evermore.))

Evermore was trying to concentrate on her meditation, but a feeling of discord, a feeling she was quite used to, was floating into her awareness. Anger, cruelty, a sense of revenge. That's what she was feeling and was used to feeling.

In response to this, Evermore sighed, calmly unfolded herself from her position, and neatly spun on the banister so that she could face the 2nd floor where she sensed the feelings coming from. Now, she could see Akira walking down the hall, completely oblivious to her surroundings, and the typical small group behind her. They were huddled together closely and were smirking darkly at her back. They were hissing to each other and seemed to be holding something...

Evermore closed her eyes and used her power to see the object that would be used to carry out the act of revenge and/or anger. It was glue that would attach painfully to the fur on Akira's ears and tail. One of them was going to go up to her and pour it on her.

Evermore scowled at the group but then smirked darkly. Sometimes this was her favorite part of being a Fury. It wasn't supposed to be, but it was. She lifted her finger and flicked it just slightly in the direction of the girls. Suddenly, the jar of glue that had been hidden in the huddle spun and sprayed the glue at all the girls in the huddle.

Evermore laughed and her eyes flashed red as the girls' screaming filled the hallway and they began running in the opposite direction of Akira with glue slowly dripping from them.

Even though Akira was half asleep, she had heard the mumbles and plans to pour, what was it now? Oh ya, Glue on her ears and tail, which had honestly pissed the Hanyou (half demon) off. Did they KNOW how much that would hurt and be such a pain to get off??? Course they did, that's why those bitches we're going to do it!!

But before she could easily move out of the way and tell that idiot, who dared try to do that to her, off, something happened and as the girl turned around, they were running and screaming, the glue on THEM!

Grinning, Akira turned around and spotted Evermore, knowing that had been the Fury's doing.

"Thanks a tone, Ever! I honestly wonder when those idiots will ever give up sometimes...It's too early for this crap..."

Evermore chuckled lowly and shrugged her shoulders, her black hair spilling over one of her shoulders. "I have no idea, but I hope it's not anytime soon. No offense meant to you, of course, Akira, but I wouldn't have any fun around here."

She hopped off of the banister and started to stretch her back.

Akira giggled and walked over to her, her tail wagging lightly.

"Of course, how dare me to deprive you of your daily fun! But nah, no offence taken. Sooner or later, when i can use more wind skills, i'll blow them away, royally freak them out-no! Giving them a bad hair day will!" the girl joked and then yawned, her eyes half closed.

"Ugr, but i'm sooo doomed when i train later on...I couldn't sleep yesterday, stupid project and i know i know! It's my fault for forgetting, but damn, i'll probably pass out from loosing too much energy...Which is totally not fun." Akira complained softly to Evermore.

Since the beggining of the school year, the two girls had instantly clicked and had soon became friends- well okay, besides the slow trusting issue, but time had helped greatly for the two now best friends.

As Evermore bent backwards to stretch her back, she reached her hands backward and gripped the banister. She then easily flipped herself backward, over the banister, and hung there on the other side, over the drop to the 1st floor, easily.

"You could always try hypnosis. That makes you feel like you've slept for 24 hours."

She winked at Akira. "Just don't run into someone while walking in your sleep or I'll have to punish you."

Akira just smiled and shook her head, as she jumped and joined her best friend on the banister, balancing perfectly.

"Oi, i wish, but just because i'm tricking my mind, doesn't mean my body will agree. Ugr, this whole energy crap is a real pain, more than those idiots, and that's saying something!! Why can't learning this Wind element come naturally like my Demon powers and not take so much damn time and energy to learn??" She wondered outloud, frustrated.

After a couple of minutes, the tired teenager asked, "How many more minutes or hours till class starts anyways? Your the one with the watch, not me, i keep forgetting to put that thing on my arm!" she admitted, laughing softly.

Evermore chuckled lowly, summoned up some of the shadow that was underneath the overhang of the 2nd floor and used it to support her in the air while she lifted her arm that had the watch on it. She looked at it, smiled brightly, put her arm back on the banister, and let the shadow travel back to where it had been originally.

Then, Evermore gracefully and easily lifted with both of her arms and flipped over the banister and back onto the ground of the 2nd floor. "We've still got an hour, thank God."

Trent walked down the paths of the school peering at the ground focusing hard on the grass as he walked. The girls peered questioningly at him since he seemed to be the only male Anywhere on the school grounds. With a few minutes more of walking he stopped abruptly kneeling down to pick up a grass seed. He dropped the delicate seed into a pouch tied to his waist and looked around now just realizing where he was. " ... where in the name of the plains am I?"

"Angel, I really don't see the point in this..." Kenny tried again, sending a pleading look at her younger twin. "Oh, but Kenny, the professor said you can't go tromping around in those work boots of yours during dance classes. How are you ever going to pass if you can't even walk in stilettos?" Angel asked good naturedly, patting her sister on the shoulder as Kenny stared subiously at the black stilettos her sister had strapped onto her feet. 'Death traps' were the words that came to mind, but then she glanced at Angel, looking so optimistic and concerned.

Sighing, she glared at the stretch of pathway before her and took the first step forward. 'Become a lady', her father's patient voice echoed in her head from his last visit, and she took another careful step forward, wobbling a bit. 'Be more like your little sister. She's acing all her classes.' Her mother's voice, a bit patronizing, had Kenny's red eyes flashing, and her steps became hurried as she automaticalyl began pacing. But the sudden increase in pace had one heel getting caught in a crack, and she went down ungracefully for about the millionth time that morning.

With a grunt, she pushed herself up on her elbows, glared at the fresh scrapes on her legs. Damn skirt...With a sigh, she turned so she was sitting up, and unceremoniously began tugging off the blasted shoes, glaring at them as she contemplated the possibility of setting them on fire and dancing around the burning feet mutilators. But Angel was already hurrying over, fussing and cooling the sting with water she summoned out of the air. Rollign her eyes, Kenny just sat with her arms crossed rebelliously while her sister fussed over her latest bruises and scrapes. THis was going to be a long day...

"I do believe you're at Bai Ching, an all girl's academy for light magic." A voice came from behind the man. If he would turn around, he would gaze upon an extremely beautiful woman, her lower form completely concealed amongst what appeared to be a giant rose. She was Miriam Rose, an alraune, and one of the professors at Bai Ching.

He arms were crossed and she was slightly glaring at the man. The sky was slightly cloudy today, so she was a bit grumpier than usual since she couldn't feel her normal connection to the sun. But that didn't mean she could do as she pleased with this stranger. So she would show him some hospitality. "May I ask who you are, and what business you have here? If you have none, then I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

He turned around to see the professor standing behind him. "My name is Trent ... but there are those who call me ... Tim, and I'm here for my seeds before they sprout and destroy everything around them ... I just got finished finding the last of them ... why do you ask lady of a rose?" He met her glare with a calm, emotionless stare.

He looked curiously at the school. "...And why are you in such a rush to drive me from this place, other then the fact it seems popular in a world as disgusting as this one?" He asked her calmly as he played with a loose thread on his tunic.
