It can be old or new.
The last anime I watched was Kino's journey, the last animated thing in general was the 4th season of family guy.

We're in need of some activity, I still haven't watched any anime lately, but I have been watching old seasons of the Simpsons pretty regularly lately, just finished season 7 and amd watching season 6 currently.

I only saw a bit of Kino's journey. SO FREAKING DEPRESSING....
My husband was watching something that looks really cute. It's about a girl who's become a goddess and is seeing spirits. It has shrinemaidens. Looks cute.
We also went to the theatre to see Ponyo. It was cute! A little strange...but it's Miyazaki. I <3 Miyazaki!!

Kino's journey isn't all depressing though much of it is. Overall I think it's great show, one of the few to come out in the last 10 years I'd really recommend.

I haven't started on it yet, but I know I'm going to be watching the old X-men series soon. I just got 4 volumes of it for my birthday. I loved it as a kid and would cry if I missed an episode. I'm looking forward to some happy nostalgic hours.

I know it isn't over yet either.

Still stuck on X-men, we've watched 8+ hours of it since I got it on Tuesday. I've got another 5 discs worth at least so I think it's going to be awhile. I've had a hankering to watch the lodoss ova though so I might eventually watch that.
