Changing to topic things around here. All the latest discussion on one topic.
No spoiler talk. Maybe when the guild is really active, we would go back to that.

What does official romanization mean? Is the guy they call Oars actually Oz? I was confused. ; . ;
An awesome and epic chapter.

[G R E E D] What does official romanization mean? The act of translating a word/name from one language to "proper" English.
Example:
Transliteration (Japanese) -> (Literal spoken syllables) モンキー・D・ルフィ -> Monkī D. Rufi
Romanization (Literal spoken syllables) -> (Proper English words) Monkī D. Rufi -> Monkey D. Luffy

Ah. So it's still Oz, but that's just his actual name?
I love the Phoenix Zoan Fruit.

It'd have been really cool if Akainu had the Blood power Fuwa was talking about, but I have no objection against the Magma Fisting.
I too love the Phoenix Zoan.

In a sense it could be Oz(though there are lots of unofficial spellings of his name like Odz or Odr). But it's spelled Oars. Check out page 12-13 in Chapter 551. You'll see his ship's flag. He's Oars III in English as Oda written it.

Wow. Now I know why Marco is the first division commander. Oh and Magma fruit FTW!
Wow, Oz(or Oars) has a decendants!? It's that type of thing that makes me love Oda so much.

If Oz isn't Oars I wonder if he's alive or if Moria used someones shadow. xD
Chopper on that Bird vs. Man island will be interesting. It's like he's going to have to pick a side to help.

Oz is Oars. The one that appeared is this chapters is most likely Oars the 3rd. Moria just managed to get a hold of the corpse of an early one(he could be either the 1st or 2nd). I do wonder what's the name of his race though...
I'm amusing these are creatures Giants of Ebalf may have been at war with.... Probably. It's interesting to think about.

Latest one is out, though it's RAW.
Hancock and Donflamingo show off... Ouch... Not saying much until translations are out.

Well, this chapter was bittersweet to me. I was dissapointed that the entire chapter was devoted to one guy that we've never heard of untill now. But the fact that Oda did dedicate a whole chapter to him means that he may become important later on.
