The East Yard was an open space of grass. A small shed at the side of the house contained several things that could be pulled out to play with. There was a gate in the fence that could be opened to each the beach. The beach had nice, soft, powdery sand and the waves where never very large here. Beneath the waves where living even more creatures, their rooms a little ways into the water on the ocean floor. Shed
There was a set of soccer goals that could be put together, a pair of basket call hoops, a volley ball net that could double as a tennis net when adjusted. Also there were basket balls, soccer balls, base balls and bats, hockey sticks and pucks, and tennis rackets and balls. There were also some beach balls that could be inflated.

The Afternoon gave off a nice warming feel, not too bright and not too hot. Whihc was nice for the tall pale man. Dressed in nothing but a pair of old tattered jeans and flip flops, he carried in one hand a large military issued duffel bag filled with towels and underneath his other arm many beach umbrellas. "Kids! DON'T EAT THE SAND FOR THE LAST TIME!" He called out at the few Salem's home orphans that ran out ahead of him, a few already tasting the wildlife of the beach. "You spit that guppy out right now young man." He said sternly, dropping the umbrellas next to the gate.
Leonie giggled as she ran after a friend, a young centaur with long brown hair. "Hehe!"
Rhadamanthus on the other hand, wanted to get under the shade as quickly as possible.
Duke sighed, as he started giving out umbrellas to the teens so they could help set up.

Following slowly behind him was Catherine, carrying five months of pregnancy within her, but she looked as long she was about 7 or 8... but who's counting? Dressed in a very top tight one piece bathing suit with a frilly skirt and flip flops. The pregnant witch followed after her friend in what more looked like a waddle than a walk. "Duke, they're kids.. if they want to eat sand let them." She pushed up her sunglasses, her now shoulder length brown hair up in pigtails.
"Hehe, Mama can I eat sand?" Nariko inquire, her inner tube already around her waist.
"No."

"Ardith- Ow! That's my ear! Stop trying to pull it off my head!" Dragonfly exclaimed, cringing as her ear attempted to flatten against her head, but to no avail. Ardith's grip upon the long, slender attachment was too tight, and almost bruising.
"I'll let go if you'll put me down!" Ardith growled, giving Dragonfly's ear a sharp tug.
Dragonfly winced at the feeling, replying, "I can't put you down if you don't let go of my ear!" in a tense voice.
Ardith considered the half-Drow's words, before finally relenting, her grip on the woman's ear falling lax.
"Now put me down," the dragoness demanded.
"Only too happy too," Dragonfly replied, leaning down to drop the girl onto her feet, while keeping the backpack she carried slung over one arm in place. Ardith took off almost immediatly, though slowed when she was several feet in front of her guardian. Ardith needed to find someone to 'play' with, or today was going to be exteremely boring.
Dragonfly let out an exapserated sigh, lifting one hand to rub her injured ear gently.
"Ow," she murmured with a pout, her yellow eyes darkening for a moment.
Dragonfly's hair was currently a magnificant shade of blue, which made her silver skin seem to have a bit of a blue hue to it as well. She was wearing a pair of blue shorts that stopped just above her knees, and a blue bikini top with white hawaiian flowers covered her top. Her toes clung to flip flops as she made her way over the sand, keeping a sharp eye on Ardith. The last thing she wanted was for the youngster to get in trouble. She was already going to be in enough of it for pulling on her ear when they got home.

At this point, Salem himself made his appearence, large bags in each hand. "Keep up Cato!" He called back to the spider toddler lightly gripping his tail behind him. "I kno'" Replied the toddler, keeping a gentle hold of his father's tail with his two main hands, the second pair cuddling his favorite spider toy, Coria Liante while Blank rode upon his head. The patchworked doll looked around the beach curiously, wondering what adventures he and Cato would have today. The cat-man sighed in relief as he put down the two heavy bags. Opening them he spilled their contents onto the sand. Seems he had come bearing most of the beach toys. There were big beach balls that needed to be filled, a couple of volley balls, a badmitten set, a few sets of floaties that also needed to be filled, some goggles and masks, snorkles, and flippers. They were all up for grabs for anyone that wanted to use them. "Alright guys! You know the drill! Bring everything back before you leave the beach!!" That said he quickly staked out his own beach umbrella and called Cato over as he pulled a bottle of sun block from his backpack. "We need to get lotion on you, then you can go play."Cato released the man's tail as he came to a stop, looking around at everyone. This was the second time he was coming to the beach, but the last time there hadn't been so many people. He wondered what it would be like this time... He came over as his father called, spreading himself out as he continued to look around.Salem quickly smeared lotion all over his little one, knowing he wouldn't have his attention for very long. "Now, you behave today, alright Cato? You too Blank." He smirked at the doll, knowing that as helpful as he could be, he was known for getting into trouble as well. The doll saluted before speaking, "Roger. I'll make sure we're not caught... Er... Stay out of trouble..."Salem couldn't help, but chuckle at this. "Make sure you do. Alright, you're set. Bring Coria back here before you get into the water. Remember he can't get wet!""I will!" Cato cried over his shoulder, already off. Salem smiled after his spiderling before turning his attention to his love. "Come on under here Catherine. Just relax, eh?"

Baxterfullous was one of the first already on the beach under his own umbrella reading a book, the shade beneath his beach umbrella seemed darker that how it was supposed to be. Dressed in a simply pair of deep blue swim trunks, the young looking cat cat sighed, occasionally looking up from his read to look at his son.
The little fawn was only half a foot away from Bax, sitting on the edge of the large blue picnic blanket that was beneath the umbrella. Dressed ina nothing but a diaper and a very large hat, he held his shovel firmly in his hands as he beat his pile of wet sand. Why didn't it look like a castle? Oh! How frustrating! "Daaaaaaahh!" He whined, pointing at his moist pile of sand. It wasn't doing what he wanted, it wasn't becomming a sand castle. Naughty sand!
Bax laugh. "Need help?"
"Daaaaah." He whined, wiggling his shovel.

Constance walked onto the soft sand, looking around at the other happy occupants of Salem's home. Smiling to herself, she adjusted the small manticore in her arms in order to put the beach bag down next to her. "Looks like fun, huh hon?" Connie crooned to the child.
"No." Mehrdad pouted as he wiggled in his mother's arms.
Narrowing her eyes, she moved Mehr to eye level. "You are determined to be a spoil sport, aren't you?" She kissed the top of his head before setting him down on the sand. "Stay right there for a minute..." Connie turned to set up a beach towel.
Mehrdad laughed to himself as he began to explore the wonders of the beach. He had only been here five minutes and already decided that he didn't much like it. Having sand in your fur did not feel comfortable, not to mention you weren't allowed to eat it. What fun was there on a beach?
Constance had finished setting up the towel and umbrella, only to turn to find Mehrdad a few feet down the beach. Laughing and rolling her eyes, she went to go pick her child up. "Having fun yet?" She giggled, nuzzling the soft fur of her baby. Noticing his dismal look, Connie laughed again, "Want me to read you a story?"
His ears perked up, and his eyes sparkled. Mehr nodded his head and urged her onward to the blanket.
"Alright..." Constance laughed pulling a book from her beach bag, "What story do you want to hear?"

The spider Mishap wandered around the beach by himself for a while, looking around at everyone. He wasn't usually a very sociable toddler, but his Daddy had been pushing to try and get him some friends so he decided to try it out. What did he have to loose anyway?
And so he looked at all the children on the beach so far before settling on one of the larger children. Well... At least in size. After all, Ardith was large and green on a pale sanded beach. She was hard to miss.
He walked up to the female dragon and looked up at her with all four emerald green double eyes. "'llo." He said simply, shiftiing the purple spider toy within his second set of arms.

Catherine managed her way towards where Baxterfullous was, settling her bag down and waited from Salem to set up their umbrella and blankets. She was in no condition to do it herself, so she opted to wait for Salem.
Garreth ran head long into the water, splashing with the other children.
Nariko followed suit. "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait!" She screeched after him.
"Nariko! You need sunblock!" Aphrodite flailed after her siblings.
Catherine stood there for a moment, smiling she spotted Istu, settling beside the little fawn beneath Bax's umbrella. "How's things going?"

Closing his book, he scootched closer towards Istu. "Well enough I suppose. Istu is frustrated at the sand."
"Daaah-ee!" He wiggled agaiin, slamming the shovel down onto the sand. He then blinked up blankly at Catherine. "Boo." He pointed up at her and then at the sand. As though commanding the witch to help.
And all Bax could do was laugh.

Realizing he may as well set up next to his uncle he moved over to his lover and uncle, stabbing the umbrella into the ground before spreading out the towels he had brought. Once everything was in place he settled himself down on a towel and pulled out the sunblock once again, starting to cover himself in it this time. "How you feeling, Babe?" He asked his lover as he worked the lotion into his already deeply tanned skin.
"Poo!" He barked as the dragon girl didn't respond and stalked away. He started to once against search the beach for someone to try and be friends with. "Who nex'?" He asked the patch-worked doll on his head.
"I dunno... Ummm..." He murmured, looking around as well.

"Why couldn't Mama come to the beach with us?"
The speaker - a short young bat anthro, with purple-tinted glasses that matched her T-shirt and jean shorts - dug one sandaled foot in the sand petulantly, waiting for her brothers and sisters to catch up as she glared down at the gritty dust that puffed back on her toes. No, Anitia was not known for being anything but cheerfully adventurous, and certainly not a whiner, but today appeared to be quite the exception to that particular unspoken rule. Neets was definitely in a mood.
Standing beside her 'niece,' a tall young woman with a dark brown fall of straight, silken hair tumbling to mid-back sighed soundlessly. Sakura - nicknamed Sake - schooled her face to patience, trying to look as though she hadn't heard the question five hundred times already. Although considering both the number of Rune's children on this trip and their strong desire for their mother's presence, she was fairly certain she'd been asked at least that many times. Tugging at the strap of her black bikini top beneath the baggy Inuyasha T-shirt she'd snagged from her friend's dresser, Sake was saved the trouble of answering as another willowy shadow appeared at her side.
"You know why, Ani." Erin, as always, looked both etheral and soothing as she crouched beside the little girl. How she managed to radiate cool and calm in the din of shouting children and the blazing sun, Sake had no idea. It had to be a mage thing, she'd decided long ago. Either way, the lighter brunette's gray-blue eyes were earnest and gentle, long braid trailing down the back of her pink one-piece and blue jean skirt.
"Cause Kelesha's a dummybutthead featherbrain and made her stay at the meeting." Anitia scowled down at the sand, unable to see Sake's lips twitch in an unmistakeable smirk of agreement - or Erin's flicked glance of warning at her companion. The mage brushed at Anitia's bangs with a soft, pale hand. "Kelesha asked that Rune stay and go over some of the new plans for the Center, yes." She corrected, voice low without being patronizing. "You know she wants to be here with you, love. She just - "
"Duty first." Anitia and the two small figures that had appeared beside her spoke as one, repeating the words they heard so often from their mother and her friends. One was a lithe little girl with blue skin only slightly lighter than her hair and blue-green eyes that glowed ever so slightly; gossamer fairie wings fluttered at her back, and a diamond pendant hung around her neck to glitter in the sun. The other was also a girl, with shockingly vivid blue hair that hung around very pointed ears and large gleaming green eyes. "We know, we know." Kai - the fairie - grumbled after the impromptu chorus. "We just don't have to like it."
Turning, she tugged her sister's wing-arm. "Come on, Neets. Let's go find a pool to play in." Squinting, she peered at the water. "Look - isn't that your friend? The dragon one, from your center."

Catherine smiled brightly at her lover, kissing him as he sat next to her. Reaching over to pet Istu's head, she puased for a moment. "I feel kicky." She smiled a bit, grasping the blonde Catfolk's hand, placing the caloused palm on her large belly.
Garreth blinked, turning his head as he heard a familiar tone, it wasn't a happy as it usualy was, but it was still familiar. "NEETS!" He squeeled as he galloped towards her, in mid stride transformed into his human-like form. Save for the dragon wings and tail, dressed ina green swim trunk. The chunky toddler grinned at his friend. "You got taller." But alas, despite her height change, he was still a much taller. Fear him when he becomes a child.
"Neat?" Nariko blinked as she stopped in mid frollock only to have her older sister collide with the back of her head.
"OW!" The wasp mishap squeeked. "For the love of - !"
