Faye poked her head out the door of her dorm. There didn't seem to be anyone still awake. She picked up a book about the width of her head and walked carefully down to the common room. Finally. Peace and quiet.

Rick was working on something before heading down to the ravenclaw common room to relax for a few minutes before going to bed. "I can't wait until tomorrow's Quidditch match." He whispered to himself as he started into the fire, watching the flames flick on the logs, as though eating the logs slowly.

Faye saw someone else come in. She put down her book and slowly sunk into the wall where she thought she wasn't visable. She wasn't really big on the idea of other people.

Rick slowly got up and headed back to his bed, where he would fall asleep for a few hours before being up at 7:00 a.m. which is about 2 hours before the First Quidditch Game of the year.

Faye started to follow silently...but she accidentally knocked over a book, which landed with a thud, giving away her position.

"You know...it'd be much easier on you if you'd hang out in the Ravenclaw library..." Sammie looked up from her book and at Faye,and she noticed, her attempt to hide from everyone was failing. She pulled out her wand. "Lumos" she said making a light appear from the tip. There wasn't much light inside the common room with the fire dying out.

"Ever so sorry...very sorry...I'll go up into my dorm now...very sorry..." Said Faye quietly, tripping over her words. She had a very strange accent, almost singsong.

Sammie stood there for a minute before running after her. "Oh please wait!" she said catching up to her. "My name is Sammie...Sammie Darkmyth. I'm one of the quadruplets here at Hogwarts. It's nice to meet you. Forgive me if I scared you. I was just reading a few books." she said.

Faye looked shocked.
"Umm...hello Miss Sammie...I'm...I'm Faye Ophelia....and I'm a....I'm a veela..." She said shakily. It was true. Even the minestry of magic said she was not a human, but a veela, and lucky to even be allowed in school.

"A veela? How interesting! I've only read about them in books but to see a veela so close up...my goodness." she breathed. Faye was indeed pretty. "Don't be scared Faye. You're among friends really."

Faye seemed to settle down a bit.
"My...my dad....he was a human...but the rest of my family...was veelas...so I'm more veela..." She paused a moment.
"But I never killed anyone! I swear!"

" I believe you. My family is all pure-blood. We live in the muggle world but we do go to the wizard world on a daily basis. Maybe later you can meet my sisters Gabby and Maggie...I'm not so sure about Abby...she can be a witch sometimes no pun intended. She's a slytherin...the others are in Hufflepuff and Griffindor." she said. "Why would you kill someone? Veelas only enchant people dont they?"

"Umm....yeah...sure...only enchant people...that's...right....sure..." Said Faye, trying to break eye contact. She knew she sucked at full sentences, and the fact that her self-esteem was zero wasn't helping.

"What's the matter?" she asked wondering if she had said something to offend Faye. "I hope I didn't say something. I was just...hoping that maybe we could become friends." she said softly, pushing the door to the girls' bedroom.
