Cherrygrove City (Japanese: ヨシノシティ Yoshino City) is located in south-central Johto. Though the city has no Gym, it is frequently passed through by Pokémon Trainers on their way to Violet City from New Bark Town. The city acts mainly as a tutorial, introducing the player to the main tools of the Pokémon world (the Pokémon Center, the Poké Mart, etc.).

Missions:
The food-stealing pokemon!
Objective:
Search the town for a pokemon that has been stealing the villagers food for a long time. You must catch it in order for the villagers to be at peace. Will you be the one doing so?
Description:
- Only 1 try per trainer.
- Roll a 10 sided dice.
- Explain where you look for the food-stealing pokemon.
- You only get 1 try.
- Roll a 7 to find the pokemon
Reward: (Only if you roll a 7)
- Munchlax Lv.5

As Seiichi entered Cherrygrove city he saw a pokemon center. He went inside and got his pokemon healed up. On the outside he saw a bunch of people in a crowd and wondered what was happening.
"What`s happening? Is something wrong?"
An old lady then looked at him and told him the story of the pokemon that had been stealing the food in the village.
"So you want me to look for it and catch it?"
Seiichi asked and scratched his head...
Later that day Seiichi decided to look for the pokemon-

Mission!
-The food stealing pokemon!
Seiichi decided to search around in the forest in town. He searched and searched but could`nt find anything. "Man this pokemon sure is good at hiding..." Seiichi said and let out his Chikorita to help him. "Can you help me pal im looking for a pokemon?" Chikorita looked at him "Chi!" She said happily and followed Seiichi-

After a lot of searching Seiichi finally gave up and got back to the city. He told the lady that he couldn`t find the pokemon at all.
"Oh thats ok thank you for trying to help at least."
She said and walked away.
"Well lets just hope somebody else finds the pokemon instead then.. As for now im gonna rest up and continue my path towards Violet city!"

"oh hey, a pokemon center, perfect!"
he entered, and the nurse said to him" hello, we can heal your pokemon bac------"holy dazed off.staring across the room at a CLEARLY senile old man, ranting about some mysterious pokemon.
"this should be intersting, here can you heal my pokemon?ill be back in a sec."
"rude much? try a tall glass of manners, sir"
holy didnt even notice the sarcasm that was thicker than a snorlax.
he walked over and asked the old dude what was going on...
10 hours later, after much rambling, and an accidental falling asleep on shamons part, the man finally finished the story.
"so basically you got a pokemon that needs catching, right?"
"yes, you disrespectful little brat!"
"me? your the one who wasted ten hours to tell me something that would take less than a minute."
"plot line is important. if it wasnt, where would the world your in be?"
"good point."holy admitted.
"fine im off!"holy said triumphantly, as he barged out the door, doing his best to look heroic and cool.
then the nurse ran out after him,
"here to try to keep me here? its no use, i know its dangerous, but that okemon MUST BE CAUGHT!
wait for me, i shall return to you some day"
she slapped him.HARD.with a frying pan.
after getting back to his feet she thrust his pokeballs into his chest.
"you forgot these, you chauvinistic pig."
"oh, haha"holy said, feeling thoroughly embarrassed.
"alright totodile, lets check the rooftops. noone sees it during the day, so it must be there!"

shamon , totodile, and rattatta searched the roofs together all day, until the two pokemon were tired out, holy returned them to theyre pokeballs, and continued the search, getting very sunburned along the way, until hewas about to give up. suddenly a pidgey flew by and startled him, he jumped to the left, and fell off the roof, hurting himself and ripping his pants open right in front of the nurse.
holy muttered inaudable words under his breath and just said,"eh that pokemon is prolly just a rumor anyway! im going back to newbark!"
he then returned to the edge of the town, and looking back felt a deep saddening.
both for his ripped pants, and for he had failed.
"and it was prolly a cool pokemon too" he muttered as he wiped the tear from his cheek.
he then walked into the grass route between cherrygrove and newbark...

holy went up to the pokemon center.
"back for more eh?!?"yelled the nurse.
holy looked akwardly and said "no just want pokemon healed. i grew out of the nurse fetish."
"IN TWO DAYS!?!?! wait... FETISH!?!?!?!?!?! scream scream scream "
"yes, now can you heal my pokemon?!?"
"fine" she mumbled. "pig head."she said under her breath.
"and now to complete the quest!!!!!" said holy triumphantly, once again forgetting his pokemon.
and once again the nurse ran after him to give him his pokeballs.

"you know the drill, yes i want my pokemon healed."
the nurse looked at him in disgust.
"ANOTHER ONE??!?? every time i see you you have more pokemon!
what are you a pokemon freak!?" she screamed.
"just take my pokeballs."holy said, making a note not to forget them this time.
she then grabbed his balls, and handed the to him(sorry, but i HAD to make a ball joke eventually)
he then left for elms lab!

holy dropped into the pokemon center, and asked if he could get his pokemon healed.
as he was waiting he saw the old man again, rambling...AGAIN
he went up to hear what the old man had to say.
"oh you again!"he growled at holy
"yep, its me!" holy said cheerfully.
"well. i suppose you want to know what im talking about."
"mhm."
"badges."the old man said."badges. that you can get by beating gym trainers"
holys eyes widened"BADGES!?!? I WANT ONE!!!!!!!" he squeeled.
"well you will have to go on past her and fight falkner in violet city!"
"thanks old man! your not so senile after all!"
with that holy grbbed his pokeballs, and ran off to route 30-31

"I wonder what pokemon it is that's causing all this trouble." Aoi sighed.
Her Totodile patted her back and smiled to try to keep a good mood.
"I don't mean to be the hero, but whatever pokemon is causing all this trouble must be stopped. Right Chomper?"
Totodile nodded.
"So your in?"
Totodile nodded again.
"Alright, then lets search the town! We cannot disapoint that old lady! Onward march!" Aoi pointed foward and began her march around the town in search of the food stealing pokemon as her Totodile mimiced her movements and enthusiasm.

"I'm sorry little buddy, but it looks like we failed..." Aoi sighed heavily. "Looks like we wont help out this city...I just hope they catch that food stealing pokemon eventually. speaking of food how about a snack?" Aoi held out a chocolate bar for the Totodile.
Totodile took it, but not without a confused look on his face.
"Dont eat to many of those, or you'll get fat!" Aoi winked, then giggled as she took out and ate another chocolate bar for herself.
When Totodile took his first bit of the chocolate bar his face lit up and he bounced around excitedly.
"Like it?"
Totodile jumped around even more and gobbled the rest down.
"Tell ya what, when we get to the next city we'll have a chocolate bar feast alright? My treat!"
Totodile started dancing around.
"Come on! Let's go!" Aoi started running and her Totodile chased after.
