Game #1 - Color-By-Number!
This guy here is being given away in a game that is... well. I am unsure of what to call it! Let's just go with Color-By-Number... fitting for a guy who is all rainbowy, right? Anywho, scroll below to get more information on how to participate in this event!
Begins: TBA
Ends: Whenever someone wins!
How to play: Coloring Book will in a speed-based manner, but don't worry! It requires more than just a high speed connection to win at this game. What will happen is that when the event is supposed to start, I will post an image with lines and numbers. Sounds familiar, right? Well it should! What I'll be posting is a blank color by number. But what you won't be given is what each number's color is. You also don't want to assume that just because... say the sun is normally yellowish that the sun in the image is meant to be yellow too.
So what is going to happen is that when I post this blank color by number, I will post a number and a color (a basic ROYGBIV color) that goes with that number. Your task is to color in all of that number with the color, and whoever posts the image again first, with the color in place, gets 3 points for that round, the second person will get 2 points, and the third person will get 1 point. This will continue, layering up on the image, until all the colors are used and the image is complete. So there should be 7 rounds!
Since each round will build upon the other and the other color codes aren't given out until a new round, there isn't any way someone can assume each color and skip ahead to try to win early - after all, it is speed based as well, meaning if you stop and try to do everything at once, you're going to lose points. In the end, the person with the most points wins the pet!
Now, with the way this game is being held, it requires a little on your part as well - meaning in order to participate, you're going to need a paint program of some sort and a way to upload your picture for each round. This doesn't mean that if you don't have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro you can't participate: It just means you'll need to have some basic paint program to apply the colors over (or under) the lines. MS Paint would work alright. I'm not looking for neat, perfect coloring - just something that fills in the right areas. So don't worry about accidentally being a little sloppy, and I promise not to give you an image that has a gazillion little areas.
As for photo uploading... Photobucket.com offers free image hosting that you might want to give a try if you don't already have an image hosting service.
Alright. Got it? If you have questions, please, feel free to ask! And... good luck! =)
