Zanpakuto Training Grounds

Here is the training grounds, where all new shinigami get their first zanpakuto. This building is located in the center of Seireitei near the first squad. This will be the first stop for any new shinigami.

Kaidoh walked into the big building, moving slowly to the very center. He stood and gazed in awe of the large dojo-like area. It made Kaidoh feel ...small... Kaidoh continued to walk around silently, searching for Jun Kazekawa, a rumored nut case, and the instructor for obtaining one's zanpokto.

In the center of the training grounds was a figure. It stood there on it's hands silently, not moving an inch. It would seem to be a statue to anyone without a trained eye. While all oft that may be true this figure was none other than Jun Kazekawa; she had fallen asleep while doing a handstand. If Kaidoh listened close enough he would even hear her snoring.

Kaidoh continued walking until he heard a strange noise. It sounded like...snoring? He looked around and saw what looked like a statue standing on it's hands in. Kaidoh walked to the back of the statue, admiring the artists great work of body detail. It looked like a real human being! He still heard the strange noise that sounded like snoring, but Kaidoh just dismissed it, guessing it was just his imagination. He then stared at the statue again. He kept staring until he could hold the temptation no longer! He began to poke the statue in it's upsidedown back. Wondering what material it was made of. It didn't feel like stone at all...it felt like...skin! Kaidoh flinched, and fell backwards blushing. He realized that he had been poking a real person, and a girl at that! Kaidoh got on his knees and bowed his head as to apologize, but remained silent, hoping the woman would just ignore him and he could just sneek out of the building.

Jun was still asleep while Kaidoh poked her back. His poke was gentle, but still was enough to cause her to sway. She swayed forward and back slowly, until she collapsed. While she did, in fact, collapse, she fell in the direction of none other than Kaidoh. In a flash the youing woman had fallen on her student, but did not stir from her slumber. She snored just as loudly as her feet rested on both sides of Kaidoh's head. "M-mochi...trying to...trying to eat...trying to eat my bologna sandwich..." She mumbled restlessly as she lied there. In her dream, she was being chased by a giant mochi cake, that threatened to eat none other than her box lunch.

Kaidoh collapsed to the floor, completely paralysed. Not only was Jun heavier than she looked, she was a girl! Kaidoh couldn't breath momentarily. He eventually came to his senses, and pushed Jun's legs off of his face. He started to get up, when he noticed that Jun was wearing the shinigami uniform...with an open dress-like kimono. Kaidoh flashed blood red before passing out completely on the floor, directly in front of Jun.

Jun woke from her nap five minutes later. With a flip she landed on her feet and said, "Next you want to focus o- where's my student?" She looked around and saw nobody. She had fallen asleep during one of her lessons....again. It was rather quite depressing to her. She silently cursed herself, while looking down at her feet. As she stared at the floor she saw Kaidoh, who was unfortunately unconscious. She was going to teach this student whether he wanted to or not. She jumped at Kaidoh and sat on his chest facing him. Adding insult to injury, Jun slapped the new recruit across the face shouting, "Wake up! Time for school!"

Kaidoh was awoken with a fright. It felt as if he had been walloped upside the head with a long, hard object. His head shot straight up...imbetween Jun's legs. 5 seconds later, Kaidoh realized where he was and passed out again. His head hit the floor hard, oppening a small wound in the back of his head. It didn't bleed, but his nose was bleeding horribly, due to the extreme embarassment he felt.

Jun giggled as she saw that Kaidoh had passed out. It was true her beauty was outstanding. She got off of him and saw that his nose was bleeding. She couldn't help, but wonder why it was doing that. Was he just embarassed or was he thinking dirty things? She decided it was the latter. "Pervert!" She yelled as she lifted her legs and kicked Kaidoh in the kidneys. She crossed her arms and looked up to the ceiling, trying to make it look like she was angry. She was, however, not angry, but instead just wanted to mess with the new recruit's head; after all, where is the fun in teaching if you can't have fun with the student?

Kaidoh was rudely awakened by the quick kick to the kidneys. Kaidoh began to roll around in pain across the training field floor. No power was worth this! Kaidoh continued rolling, hoping that the crazy instructor hadn't noticed. Still acting as if he was rolling in pain, Kaidoh began to roll towards the exit.

A loud swish filled the room as Jun had preformed a shunpo. She stood in front of the exit, with both arms still crossed. "No leaving! You're going to learn how to get a zanpakuto whether you like it or not..." She scowled at the young man, before walking to the door. She slammed the door shut and locked all twelve, deadbolt locks. Each lock was made by the twelfth squad and used a different key. If Kaidoh killed Jun, it would be hours before he escaped.
After finishing her trap she looked down at Kaidoh once more. She reached down and grabbed his arm, picking him up on his feet. "Stand..." She ordered, letting go of him. She held out her hand and made a small sphere of reiatsu in her hand. The sphere was the size of a volleyball and flosted gently above her palm, glowing a deep azure glow. "Now make a ball of your reiatsu!.....NOW!" She shouted, looking at him as her eyebrow twitched. True, she was acting crazy, but this was the most fun she has had, since last she talked to her zanpakuto.

Kaidoh stood as he was commanded. He was horribly terrified at the insane instructor, but he didn't dare disobey her. Kaidoh stepped back from the phsycopathic sensai until he was what he though was a safe distance away. He observed Jun's technique at forming the ball of riatsu. He had read about this before, but never actually tried it. He knew all of the theory, and technique though. He closed his eyes, and began to focus riatsu into both hands. He cupped his hands together, focusing the riatsu into a single mass. Eventually, he had succeded in forming a ball of riatsu, but it was small compared to Jun's; about half it's size. It would have been a perfect orb if Kaidoh didn't have his stamina problem.

Jun looked at the small sphere, with a sigh; it looked pathetic. Jun immediately thought that this was the results of her new attitude. "Try imagining yourself in the ball..." She said with a soft, gentle voice. She was trying to make-up for the way she had acted earlier. She flicked her wrist, causing the sphere to dissipate. She neared Kaidoh and looked deeply into the sphere. It glowed with deep incandescence, like a firefly, but did not have the proportions it should. "Forget imagining yourself in the ball. Reduce your energy output and focus on balancing your reiatsu flow. That should get rid of that unsightly stubble." She said looking up at him, since he was, in fact, taller than her by a good foot.

Kaidoh immediately followed Jun's instruction before she had changed her mind. He immagined himself in the sphere...it shrank in size. He then took Jun's advice again, focusing on the balance and flow of riatsu. The orb began to slowly grow in size. Kaidoh was truely stressing his body, sweat poring from his face and body, but eventually, Kaidoh's orb had finaly grown to the same size as Jun's orb. He smiled, thankful to Jun. He didn't dare look her in the eye, though.

Jun ignored, where Kaidoh was staring and looked at his reiatsu sphere. "Good, you've go it at the right size... Now what you need to do is focus on a hilt. Think of something practical or impractical, your spirit is the one who makes it anyway. Just be sure that it is a hilt that you are imagining."
