This thread's intent is to raise the overall quality of our members. We accomplish this through cooperation and trust. The Buddy System is a time tested concept, the timid and inexperienced, looked after and protected by the Strong and capable. Over time the timid come into their own and grow into the people they were meant to be. Things to look for: 1.Classes -Healer -Striker -Caster -Buff2. People looking for help 3. People willing to help 4. Things to be prepared for - Area Difficulty 5. Important Items -Quest Specific Kills -Monster Drops -Gaia "Layers"6. Questions and comments Thank you all so much for helping my eggs hatch. ^_^ please check my Scroll

1. Classes
To easily match each person with a buddy that suits their needs I'm going to introduce to the "Classes" that are a general terms used to people with different abilities. Most of these will be EXACTLY what they sound like.
Healer: Based mainly off of healing spells, stays back and cures the people who need curing, or the entire party.
Striker: Likes to be in the front line, striking down the biggest monster, close quarters.
Spellcast: Stays in the background but attacks the smaller monsters, support damage, AOE (Area of Effect)
Buff: Status effects, Makes players stronger and monsters weaker.
Note that all Classes have their own strengths and weaknesses. The buddy system uses this to its advantage by pairing people that "Fill" those weaknesses.
For example a Striker can have a Buff in his group and not have to worry about damage because he kills everything before they hit him. Or two casters can be paired to keep monsters confused.
Keep in mind your situation and what your weakness are and there may be a buddy out there that can help you.

2. People who need/want help.
This section is possibly the most important of this thread. It has a running list of Gaians who need help getting started, who are having trouble with things in the world of zOMG, or simply people who want a little more support for a quest.
When signing up for Help Needed, supply your name, What Class best fits you, and the Level (Village Greens, Bills Ranch Ect) where you need help. Please be sure to check the "Willing to help" section below before applying here.

3. Willing to Help:
This is the area where the generous people of ATG's Clan are willing to help others. When signing up for this Supply your Name, Class, and the Area where you can face things on your own (So you're not fighting things stronger then you all the time).

4.Things to be prepared for:
Area difficulty: Every world has it's own difficulty rating, once you feel comfortable in an area, feel free to venture further into the world of zOMG, but the further you go the more challenging the creatures become. Even if you can take on one group of monsters by yourself the next group might be more then you can handle, so getting a buddy that has experienced it might be a good idea to start a new area until you know what you're going up against.
Area Difficulty Cont. : The Deadman's Pass gets more and more difficult the further you go, when you reach the end (The gate) swarms of OMG will come from the bottom of the page. If at any point your entire party is wiped out, leave one person at the gate so your party does not need to defeat the monsters over again. As long as one person stays in the cave and next to the gate you won't have to face them again.
5. Important Items:
Quest specific kills: When you form a Crew, whatever ANYONE kills counts towards you too. If you need to kill a specific thing and someone else lands the final blow, YOU still get credit for it as long as you effected it in some way, including buffing others, hit the monster, or debuffing the monser. Monster drops: In a crew, everyone has the maximum chance, of every drop that any monster killed could drop. However, if you are a higher level (CL) then everything you fight, then the chances of getting drops is drastically reduced. A simple way to reduce your CL is to remove unused rings, very helpful when using rings that can kill in one hit.
Layers of Gaia, when you join a server the minimap will show you where your friends are with a blue dot, however it is possible that you won't be able to see them because they are on a different layer of that server. It can be frustrating because the invite system is still being improved, but if you manage to find your buddy in the reCrewt button they will "Flip" to your layer. The other method that works is to be by the Null Crystal, don't know why but if you enter then exit the crystal you sometimes shift layers, and eventually you'll find your friend (If they are also near the crystal).

You have another willing helper here
I have four attack rings but they are mostly range weapons (which suites me) so I think I'd be a Spellcaster

Thanks I like yours as well.
I can't wait to have a legit ATG war against the Animate
also:
I'd like to add a tip for Dead man's Pass. Leave a dazed crew member where he/she fell so that the rest of the crew can return to finish the job. Why? because you won't have to re-battle all the creatures in between since they wont re-spawn. Even if they are not dead but hang out on that layer.
This should work for any other quests that involve a separate area that you have to teleport into.
