Is anyone here other than myself learning German?

I've only been studying German for 2 months and I find that I'm very drawn to it... it's a lot like English 3nodding

not only is it alot like english (English being a Germanic language...that's why x3), its also quite easy to pick things up once you get the hang of it. The only downside being that there are no set rules for putting on Die, Das, and Der... thus why I just learn them with the words heart

Well, you have to learn them with the words... they indicate gender, don''t they? You can''t really guess the genders (same with Spanish and French).

I just started taking German this semester. sweatdrop

Also, for dictionaries, I'd recommend the Langenscheidt Universal German Dictionary because it's small enough to fit in your pocket, and my professor recommended it.

I do so far. We have a really fun professor. And I have a penpal in Germany, so hopefully I'll learn enough to start writing to her in it.

I know a couole of the german modals (spelt that wrong) my favorite is wollen (to want).
(in a sentance) Ich will ein pizza essen.
wollen=will witch sounds like vill.
modals also move the other verb to the end (if their is one)

hate to burst your bubble, but... you have to learn the entire verb conjugation to be able to use it effectively.
