1. If you do come here to post, make sure that you are allowed to do so. Much as I love people stalking my journal, if random people post here repeatedly, it gets rather.... confusing. If you're on the appropriate list below, you may post anytime. If you're still not sure, feel free to PM me and ask. If you're not on the list, PM me or catch me while I'm at the shop thread.
2. If you DO post here, please use your good judgement in doing so. If there is an RP going on and you'd like to drop off a gift, I'd appreciate it if you'd hold off until the RP is done. Not sure? Pm me. smile
3. Please be polite and respectful to EVERYONE here. If you have a problem with someone, don't bring it here, pleeeeease.
4. Proper spelling and grammar are loved. I don't want to spend more time translating your post than reading it. Yes, everyone has typos, but at least try to make it readable.

December 1st- Caleb is here...
November 6th- More front page updates. Halloween event is over, and I'm fixing up the journal.
October 15th- YAY, PICTURE!!! The pregnancy is official!
October 8th- My first OOC update in awhile...
September 3rd- Since guilds are going down, the journal will be in the breedables forum for awhile.
August 18th-RP in Kimie's Journal

Also seems to be able to exhale smoke... possibly flames. Likes: Making Amyla not be able to sleep, fussing, squalling, being cuddled Dislikes: His parents (especially Amyla) not being happy

Post Six: The Mother  Name: Amyla Edana Raikes

Gender: Female (duh!)
Race: Human, though she has begun to demonstrate some telepathic and empathic abilities that make Aiodhan wonder
Appearance: Amyla Edana Raikes is far shorter than Aiodhan, about 5'4". She has light brown hair that reaches the middle of her back or so. Her eyes are blue, and her skin is generally fair. She can normally be seen wandering around in her favorite jeans and hiking boots as she loves casual and comfortable. She's often wearing t-shirts if she can get away with it, though her attire changes to a more formal one when she's on the job.
History: Amyla has always been a friendly and inquisitive human being, though her curiousity is occasionally interpreted as nosiness. An overachiever and control freak, she had her entire life planned out by the time she reached twelve years old... from her high school classes, to college choice and schedule, to medical school, and her career thereafter. She planned to be married by twenty-six and have children by age twenty-eight. Needless to say, that didn't quite happen. She lived in her inherited home near Bass'ken Lake, keeping herself happy through her work at the Gaia Hospital's emergency room and through caring for her many pets and wards, ranging from the green Ancient called Karael to her three Equus companions and many more. Through it all, she longed for some human company and eventually found her soulmate in Aiodhan, the human-dragon hybrid that accidentally crashlanded in her backyard. It wasn't love at first sight, but they grew on each other. Now they are essentially inseparable, and Amyla is happy with the situation.

Post Seven: The Father  Name: Aiodhan Quincy Layden
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Race: Half human, half some unknown sort of dragon
History: Aiodhan was always an arrogant man. He was young, headstrong, impetuous, and prone to being a bit of a womanizer. He dreamed of travelling the universe and every world, country, city, or woman's bed within, writing all the while of his adventures. He was, and still is, quite an eloquent man, something that he was very proud of. When he was nineteen, though, disaster struck, and he was diagnosed with AML, a form of leukemia. Chemotherapy was ineffective in helping him; he needed a bone marrow transplant. He went to the Gaia Cancer Treatment Center for the transplant, but during the procedure, a mix-up resulted in his reception of the wrong bone marrow. A large sample of draconic marrow had been accidentally slipped amongst the other vials and was improperly labelled. Aiodhan's body didn't like the invading DNA. He spent two years in constant agony as the two separate kinds of DNA warred for control of his body. In the end, both sets of strands split apart and came back together in a combined mutation. The result was a half-human, half-dragon body that Aiodhan both loved and loathed, though more the latter. He went into seclusion for seven years, trying to shut the world out as he continued his writing and published a few books, never exercising his new wings or tail and rarely stepping out of the house. In that time, his younger brother developed and died from the same form of leukemia, and Aiodhan couldn't bear living with the knowledge that his bone marrow could have saved his brother if it weren't for the draconic half of his new DNA. Finally, he couldn't stand it anymore and flew up into a storm and attempted to kill himself by being struck by lightning, frustrated that killing himself with alcohol poisoning wasn't working quickly enough. He nearly succeeded in killing himself as his flying skills were so poor. Instead of getting struck by lightning, he crashed in Amyla's backyard where several of her pets found him and dragged him back to the house. Amyla warily nursed him back to health, though she and her pets were made nervous by his savage, sarcastic, and selfish nature. Snooping around in Amyla's room while she was at work led him to finding and reading her diary. After he realized how poorly he'd been acting to the odd "family" who'd shown him nothing but kindness, his attitude improved. Amyla didn't buy his new act, and it wasn't until they spent one long, stormy night before the fireplace, talking until the storm broke, that she finally warmed up to the hybrid. Though he is much more humble and generous than before, Aiodhan retains much of his snappish arrogance, though he knows to curb it around his mate, as he mentally refers to Amyla. He dropped his womanizing ways and now hero-worships the woman who saved his life and, he believes, his heart and soul. He too is eager for children, though he fears for Amyla's health if she should have to carry children who were hybrids like himself.
Unique Traits: He recently discovered a knack for breathing fire that rather disturbs Amyla.... for obvious reasons.

Other Family
Karael Tessanya Layden
The oldest child in the family, Kari is a green, telekinetic Ancient with a job as an architect. She looks roughly humanoid, though she has green skins, yellow pupil-less eyes, a brown hair-tipped tail, She and Nieva, the second-oldest sister, have taken up residence in the basement, along with Kari's new daughter Evelia. She can be a little snippety at times but is generally easy enough to be around.
Nieva Layden
The second-oldest child, Nieva is an equine humanoid covered in short dark hair. She is a Monoceros, meaning she has a blue horn protruding from her forehead, and she has limited power over small quantities of water. She is peaceful by nature and generally can get along with anyone.
Erin Layden
A little human toddler with a fluffy Turkish Angora cat tail, Erin is the terror of the house. A sadistic little witch, she enjoys torturing things, though some times her sadistic nature will lay dormant for days, or even weeks, at a time. Blonde-haired, brown-eyed, and beautiful, she is frequently found in a ballet outfit.
Iolanthe Kayce Layden
Kayce is a fae from Project 030, and she has the nature of a cat. She is fairly aloof, apathetic, and disdainful toward other creatures in general. She enjoys studying and swordfighting and has recently begun riding her newly grown Morgan horse, Mistress Mayhem (Missy for short). She has dark hair, pointed ears, blue eyes, fair skin, and a perpetually expressionless (though beautiful) face.
Tanith
Tanith is the newest adopted child and refuses to take the family name. She has jade eyes, bright red hair, and pale skin. Perpetually snippy and snappy, she doesn't like much of anyone in the house except Kari and Rajni, her new tiger-horse companion.
Aryana Meline
Aiodhan and Amyla's youngest child, Yana has mismatched blue and green eyes, brown hair, one dragon wing, and one blue-green feathery wing. She is very sweet-natured but a bit skittish, preferring to cling to Amyla rather than explore.
Evelia Circe
The youngest member of the household, Evie is Kari's daughter and Amyla and Aiodhan's granddaughter. She looks much like her mother, except for her red eyes, red horns, double-tails, and white wings.

Post 9: Pets and Guardians  From the left are Kveairo, Rudolph, Miette, and Liliaea. Kveairo is a nightmare and a carnivore. He is one of the ultimate guardians of the household and can be quite cranky at times. Mostly, he just acts moody. Rudolph was Amyla's first Equus companion, and he is the most patient with Amyla's various children of sorts. He likes to play but is more watchful in a fatherly way, keeping an eye especially on Erin. Miette is the newest arrival and is rather kind, though she suffers from some severe amnesia. She is prone to mental wandering and often spaces out for hours at a time. Liliaea is the energetic and overly enthusiastic mare. Want to play? Find Lili.

Post Eleven: Photo Album  Stage: Pregnancy Well, I'm not sure HOW Kari managed to snap this picture without me knowing, but it is quite gorgeous, isn't it? I look and feel .... fat!!--sniggers-- I think you look quite nice, May. The maternal curves look is good on you. --waits to be swatted-- Stage: BABY! --is still crying all over herself-- My baby! Anyway, we cleaned him up and got him to sit still long enough to snap a picture. He's so beautiful!! --still too choked up to comment--
