I was under the impression that Wicca was a fertility cult. And you had to be at least 18 to get into a coven. Actually, I think the founder actually sated that it was a fertility cult. So how could underage people claim to be Wiccan? Because they might be a fluffy bunny and think they know all like Silver Ravenwolf.

that is gardnerian wicca eclectic wicca is more free form you dont have to be eighteen but you do have to initiate yourself it is primarily a fertility belief but also more towards the earth and the gods its not all about the nitty gritty i think you need a little more information.

traditional is great and has a lot of good points to it, ecclectic is where you take bits and pieces of other teachings or other branches of wicca and combine them to fit your style that is one of the great things about wicca, no i do follow the god and goddess and the eight sabbats fairly strictly but other then that im pretty free form as ive said.

But gardner was the original founder of wicca. shouldn't it be what he says goes? if he doesn't approve of these so called "eclectic wiccans" than they really are not wiccnas.

Out of curiousity, what are these six branches?

And the rest are just offshoots that really aren't Wiccan.
