Signet City - Part One

Long ago, ten beings ruled the Earth. They ruled everyone and everthing using with an iron fist gloved in velvet, but they were considered gods nonetheless. As time went on, there was dissent between the ten beings on how they ruled. An event that the Ten never did reveal changed many of their beliefs, making so say that what they did was wrong while others said it was as it should be, but in the end only two convinced everyone to bring peace into the world by letting it go on without their interference, letting the rest of the vampires and humans decide there own fate until they were 'needed' again. Their names were Vincent and Moneko.

So they left civilization, but the way they did this was a strange one indeed besides so so abruptly. They fell into a sleep that kept their souls from disappearing into the spirit realm, leaving their bodies protected from decompusure in the process. Their remaining subjects never understood why their leaders disappeared and soon became lost and disorganized, most of them spreading to the far corners of the world in search for the leaders, or for their own life while others killed themselves as they felt the strength of humans grow. The world became more peaceful and humans after a while did indeed take over the world. The stories of the ten beings became mere legends. The world became more modern, new inventions and lifstyles spread across the world and the surviving vampires became shadows, forming groups to help stay alive or going on their own.

By the year 3000, even the vampires considered the time of the ten leaders a legend and the small groups that had banded together for survival were now powerful organizations, each with their own problems with territorial issues and making sure the humans never knew they existed to worry about the legends at all. There was only one area that everyone wanted, and that was Signet City, the place where the ten leaders ruled, but that wasn't the reason it was such a prize. The city was an excellent strategic spot for a renewal of a new supernatural order to rule, and for the few that still knew of the legends, a place to keep sacred. The desire of this city was also raised when it came apparent that all the vampires who live there had begun to be immune to the sun's rays much faster than they should, even developing powers most do not have until they are atleast thousands of years old. Does this mean that the ten leaders are returning? Or something more?

Signet City: Return of the Ten

The flames danced around the group, manipulating their shadows as the chaos within the city grew. But nothing within Ashra's spell could have foreseen what madness would soon be released by the five men surrounding the altar, each of them resolute in their determination as the leader stood in the middle, his sword raised and singing with the dark chant still being released from his comrades's lips.

He didn't even blink as the five standing outside the circle grabbed their weapons and were mirrored by the chanting men, "Don't come any closer my Lady," one of them said, lowering their blade slightly, "If you really are Lady Lina..."

A flutter of white crossed the edges of his eyes an he knew the Lotus Leader had her eyes upon him and gave a grim smile. Those long awaited words would finally be heard... "Salen, just how long have you known where Moneko slept?" her voice soft as it fell into his ears, "How long have you been able to read the Book of the Ten?"

The Book of the Ten, the one book that would bring ten legends and a curse back upon this world. But he wouldn't let that happen, none of them would. His grip tightened upon the now black sword as he answered, his own voice soft and resolute, "For a while now Lady Lina.' he said, matching her cold with his own, "I wanted to free them for so long just to ask her why they left us to our own destruction; I want to ask them why they let us go through so much pain."

"Salen-"

"It is not that I regret the fighting, no I enjoy a good battle, it was the fact that it was fought for ten beings who felt it would be fun to leave everyone in the height of their rule that irritatres me and the others who are with me. The time has come for questions to be answered and justice to be served through their own freedom!" it was then that the two elders from before turned away and formed the circle once again.

"You can't mean that!" Lina replied, taking a step forward, "We've worked so hard to bring the Ten back. Don't let Ashra's curse make you do something you will regret!"

"So it is Lord Ashra I should thank for letting me finally act out on my feelings..." Salen answered quietly, "I shall give the child my thanks very soon..."

He stood poised over the altar, ready to pierce it with his sword as the light from within it grew brighter, the power contained within fighting the impending danger with all its might. The elders began to surround the Lotus Leader and the others as they chanted, their own weapons poised even as they battled the spells had in their minds were taking affect. Some of them lowered their swords, only to raise it again in confusion. It was then that Lina took action.

"I'm sorry Salen. I truly am, but I will not let you do this..." she said quietly as she raised her hands and connected her swords, a light flashing around them as she did so. The light brightened the room and firmed the swords into a bow and arrow, exactly like the one in the hall of memories. Exactly like her mother's.

Upon this transformation, Salen proceeded to attack the altar, the blade piercing through the stone by the power of the dark spell they had conjured and slowly diminishing the light from within it. But that blade didn't go far. Lina drew her drew back the bow string and allowed the shining arrow of light to appear, took aim and fired. She watched as it hit Salen full on the chest and pinned him to the wall and sighed.

"Salen..."

The spell finally took over he stubborn men, causing them to look around in confusion before seeing Salen's unconscious body upon the wall. They backed far away as Lina walked past them and stood infront the sword still part way into the altar and pulled it out. The sizzle of skin was heard as the enchanted blade met her hands, but she continued to pull it out until it fell upon the floor. She said nothing still as she moved towards Salen's body and took him from the wall, the arrow dispersing into the air as she did so, then moved towards the infirmary.

Plot

That was the day when everything changed. Two more Leaders had yet to be awakened and Ashra's curse was still going strong. That damned curse...to release all inhibitions from the body and mind, bring it to madness under Moneko's orders... If that order had never been given, if we had been allowed to control our actions for just one more night, maybe what had happen next would never have happened...

- Excerpt from Lina Sec's Diary
Head of Soul Transfers
Year 3050

Signet City, the starting point of the Great Vampire and Lycan War, was now one again the capitol of the Ten beings, the very same beings that had left this world to its own devices. No one but the four organizations (Lotus, Rajen, Blaydon and Bastet) formerly ruling Signet City before knew how they returned and at what cost the loyal and rebellious alike had to pay to bring them back.

Ashra's curse was the last test given to these organizations as well the entire city for the sole purpose of seeing how far others would go to see the rest of the Ten Awakened..and the results of what others would do to stop them. The result was unfortunately a tie. The inner thoughts of the Lotus second-in-command and a few others took over because of the curse and they attempted to rid the world of the Ten completely, thanks to an ancient book of dark arts they had acquired. They were stopped just in time for the spell to be incomeplete, but the damage was done. The The Ten were weakened, but back then no one knew just how badly weak meant.

Their bodies, which had so long been preserved over the years had been damaged to the point that they could not remain intact and hold the Ten;s power. For them to ever survive in this world, they needed new bodies, but those can hold their power had to be perfect incarnations to even be used and as for the former souls within said bodies...they would pass on.

But there are those who wish to stop the Ten from ever ruling, even if they wish to make the world as it once was. Some of them are people who care about their place of power and which to stay there, while others wish to create their own ruling party within the world or even just to continue having freedom. All of these are allies or serve under the former Rajen Leader and apprentice Troden Sulla. He was part of the reason the Ten were weakened and a major part of why a few of them were delayed in their Awakening.

It is now 3050, fifty years since that awful moment and the chosen bodies have been found. Which side will you choose? Those who wish to aid the Ten and bring the world to its former glory, or will you side with those who wish to bring a new era of rule into this world? The choice is yours.

A deep sigh came from the former Lotus Leader as she slowly closed the leatherbound book that lay infront of her.

Salen... It was one of the many names brought into her mind from that night. Even with his imminent exile he looked strong and walked away with a resignation many were proud of. Including herself.

Bang! Crash! "...Mom...don't be mad..."

Another sigh escaped Lina's mouth as she stood up, but this time it was lighter. Her white hair daped across her shoulders as she moved towards the door. The guilt-ridden face of her youngest child greet her once the door opened, "Alright Riken, what has happened now..."

Merlin had been acting evasive for the last month. Her emotions were erratic and sometimes dangerous. Fortunately for Vincent, sex had been in bountiful supply but when he asked about the cause of her odd behavior, she either thought up imaginary errands to run or distracted him. She'd also been disappearing regularly, gone for an hour or so before reappearing, flushed and happy. It appeared she'd simply left to feed well.

At the moment, the woman in question was sitting in her office going over paperwork. Bills were easy, she didn't mind paying them, enough money was rolling in from the Club, which had expanded, and the contributions from wealthy meals that it was no problem at all. The internet was proving a very helpful resource for paying bills easily and quickly. There wa the rapid succesion of clacking keys before silence reigned again, interrupted by the soft rustling of paper.

Obsidian had finally broken down and bought a house with Seth....well, it was actually a surprise to him as well. She'd had a long long argument with her father about it. Her mother didn't mind as long as there was a strong link between home and the house so that they could be there in the blink of an eye if there was trouble. Winistruya had pinned her husband down with an icy glare, warning him not to abuse the portal.

"Surprise!" She cried, uncovering Seth's eyes. The house had victorian influence in it's architecture. Two stories, a front porch, eve, with a porch swing to the left of the door. The paint job looked fresh Cream with Green trimming, "If you don't like the paint job, that can be fixed. I really wanted to paint it black but that might freak out the neighbors..." She commented, "Well? Don't just stand there, and close your mouth before something flies in, do you like it?"

The of cheering filled the air as a group of men and women looked upon two men locked in battle, their cries barely heard over each other as they crowded upon them in a tight circle of bloodlust and rage. That bloodlust s quenched soon enough as an angonized scream filled the air and blood was spilled followed closely by a lifeless body that hit the ground in a graceless thump. The cheer that followed was one that rivaled man a lion's roar or a blood demon's cry, it not only filled the air of the room they were in, but made the walls shake. The lone figure that now stood within the center of the ring looked down at the corpse before him quietly before walking out of the ring and walked towards a set of thrones where the most important onlookers were watching, the others giving him a wide berth.

He gaave them a graceful bow, the blood slpping off his hands as he did so, "Another fool has been destroyed in the name of the Rajen Cause..." he said quietly, his black hair barely hiding a smile that crossed his face as he straightened, "Is there anyone else I will have the honor of doing away with Sir Troden?" he asked, looking upon the being who sat camly infront of him, one hand calmly resting upon the arm of the throne while and held his head lightly upon it.

A small smirk appeared infront of Troden's face as he straightened and stood up, his black dragon wings adjusting themselves as he moved towards the bloody man infront of him. He first eyed the wounds already healing on his arms and chest, staring more at the Rajen mark upon his shoulder before finally looking at the man once again, "No..I believe that enough for the day. You have done well...Raziel." Another bow only brought grin to the Rajen Leader's face before he dismissed the loyal Rajen. That grin faded slightly as the sound of laughter filled his ears.

"That was quite an extraordinary fight," a voice said as arms slowly wrapped around Troden's neck and the familiar jingle of bells filled the air, "And with one with such a kind face...it makes it all the more amusing to watch."

"You make it sound like it was all for your entertainment Tyrshida," he said, his eyes glancing back at her before returning to the retreating figure, "Raziel is an excellent warrior and one of the best I have. He is my second and you should-"

"Yes I know, I should remember that..." Tyrshida said with a long sufering sigh that sounded oddly like a hiss, "Fenrir has given me the same speech. You know, you two have more in common than you realize..." her arms slowly released him as her attention moved back to the crowd who were now cleaning up the mess, "And when will the execution of Rajen runaways cease? Not too soon I hope."

"It will end when there is no such thing as desertion on my men's minds."

"I see... and what will this prove to the rest of our allies who come and watch these precedings?"

"There is no such thing as backing away once a bond is formed now that the Ten are slowly regaining their rule. There grip upon this world was like iron back then and it wil be the same now which is why the time of absolutes is at hand." he answered, his tail slowly cirling below him, "They may be higher than a soldier, but the concept is still the same. The Ten will kill them once it is known who sides with me and whether or not they choose to betray me will be irrelevant. They will die any if useful information is given as the rules were so long ago."

"Then there will be no reason to go and no reason to stay in the end, which will mean more war...excellent." Slender hands began to wander but they didn't go far as the clawed hands of Troden gripped them roughly together, "Don't try those games with me Tyrshida. They will not work."

A small hiss slowly melded into laughter, "Is that so? Then maybe I created you too well." suddenly his hands held nothing but air as Tyrshida disappeared. Don't worry my dear Troden, your skills in creating deth is all that interests me...

Troden smirked slightly at that before returning to the throne nearby.

A sudden storm moved sluggishly over Signet City. The clouds flashed and grumbled with thunder and lightning and abruptly it released it's rainful on the city, driving those walking on the streets inside. That included Obsidian and the shocked Seth, driving them under the eve of their new house. The rain was icy cold and it came down mercilessly upon the street and rooftops. Forks of lighting shuddered out of the clouds and into the sky. A few larger forks struck the ground, or trees, one struck a electric pole, making the transformer explode, sending sparks everywhere. In the park, one particularly large lightning bolt slammed into the ground near the lake. When it disappeared, a figures tood in it's place.

Tall and willowy, wearing what looked like a white dress, marking the figure as feminine. Impossibly long black hair was done up in a plait and coiled loosely around her neck. She tilted her head towards the sky and, pale green eyes that looked distant and unresponsive flashed brielfy and the storm started to calm. A cold wind blew, pushing the clouds on and as the clouds mobilized so did the woman, long, silent, graceful stridse carrying her away from the lake and the park and onto the wet street. She paused on the sidewalk and tilted her head, appearing to be listening for something.

Images flashed into her head, the only images she'd ever be able to see were always in her head, she saw him again, clean of blood this time. She jerked and hesitation kept her still for a few beats. Then she blinked sightless eyes and started walking again.

As the rain fell, three small figures, not much bigger than children walked into town, and though the rain was thick and heavy, the three did not seem to get wet, as though the rain simply bounced off of an invisible barrier around them. A bolt of lightning struck one figure, but all it did was make that one glow for a few moments. All three were deep in conversation, though what about could not be heard by others due to the storm.

"Although I enjoy loud sounds more than most people, I would apprecitate it if you would stop producing a positive charge just to call the lightning to you. It makes me itchy"
"But the energy is so refreshing! It is like a splash of cold water on a hot summer day."
"Personnally, I prefer the heat. Nothing beats laying in the warm sand and taking a nap."
"Easy for you to say, sand only sticks to you if you want it to. What about you Waterboy?"
"Firstly, don't call me 'boy' when you are not even out of adolesence. Secondly, I'd be catching a wave on the beach."
"You'd be making waves big bro."
"I only need to strengthen the original process that starts the wave, rather than expending extra energy to push the entire wave into shape."
"You do have a way of undercomplicating things."
"Is that even a word?"
"It is now Little Man."

A dense fog hid another man who simply stared into the distance, only perking his ears at a noise here and there. Arcturus liked the fog that usually seemed to accompany him now. It made things easier when he wanted to get something to eat.

After a few minutes he started twirling his slightly overlarge cane in quick, precise, jerking strokes. Even though his manner was unwieldy to any onlookers, it was extremely effective due to its unpredictability. Another reason he liked the fog was to have it obscure anyone watching should he "revisit" some of his past memories like he was doing now.

Two dark eyes watched the working woman silently from the doorway as the rest of its body leaned against the entrance, arms folded as the shadows finished forming the black tuxedo covering it. She was busy as usual and comepletely oblivious of the pounding music that was just waiting to invade the privacy of the room if one of them would only open the door, but Vincent wouldn't interrupt her...not yet anyway.

He pushed himself away from the entrance, his gaze falling form her to the computer and then back again, as if studying both objects intensely but he was still silent as ever. Atleast until a small ray of light fell upon him. He frowned slightly as a small shadow appeared upon the desk where his lighted hand lay as if it was natural for Signet's Shadow to have one of his own.

He slow moved away from the lights touch with a sigh and said, "The rest f the Ten and our allies are meeting at the City Hall. The vessels are ready. Come there when you are." he said no more as he walked back to the shadows and falling into them.

--

The sound of metal hitting metal was heard as three figures were locked in battle their movements swift and gaze intense. A small group of onlookers watched nervously as the battle grew even more serious than before and the thought of death was on their minds once again as one of the fighters broke away from the group holding a deep wound on their arm.

A small growl escaped the fighter's painted lips as they ripped their already bloodly sleeve and tied around the wound with two small fangs visible once the job was done before looking back at the two fighting. Two ice cold eyes watched as two matching pairs from the men before her clashed together. Their movements matched blade for blade and the look in their eyes would have made most think they were sworn enemies rather than father and son. But the woman knew well how close those thoughts would be true.

It only took a few seconds before her brother stood beside her, his own arm and chest bleeding, You are doing better in your training, but as long as you do not have the intent of death within you, you will never hurt me. A familiar voice in their heads said as the lone figure before them stood untouched, his blades dripping with their blood, Tyran and Kari...you are dismissed.

Six orbs of ice locked onto each other before the two of them walked away.

--

Meanwhile, Seth ad finally gotten out of his shock and was in the process of exporing every facet of the house. He was acting like a child in a candy store, opening doors and barely closing them before he was up the stairs and into another room, "It perfect!" came a faint voice as he moved through the house, "I agree with changing the color of the house, but I like everything else... How did you dear old father take this?" he asked, suddenly popping infront of her, "Horribly I hope?"

"Latimer, I'm kind of dreading when Mother will let us train with Father." Ripley said, watching his older siblings leave the training area.

His twin glanced over at his brother, "Why? We'll do just fine."

"Well, look at 'em, they're all bloody and tattered, that's how they always look when they're finished and Mother coos and fusses over them....okay, well that part doesn't seem so bad." Ripley chuckled.

Latimer did as well, throwing an arm over his twin's shoulders and trailing after Tyran and Kari, "Mother said she wanted to make brownies, do you think she'll let us lick the bowl, Latimer asked, changing the subject. Ripley, out of the two of them was probably the most sensitive, though it was hard even for their family to tell (except their mother) which one was which, they behaved so identically to each other.

"Probably not. What, you want to ask anyway?" Ripley asked, giving his brother a sidelong glance.

"Why not. she'd grow suspicious if we didn't try something like that. It's tradition!"

"Alright, then."

Magnolia was indeed in the kitchen making brownies. She also had water and small sandwiches for Kari and Tyran to mucnh on. They needed to refuel and hydrate after their tussel with their father, he was always very vigorous with them, everytime she thought about the twins or her baby Marguerite, her chest squeezed with aprehension. He wouldn't be any softer on them because they were the younger siblings. She knew he meant them no harm, not really, she supposed it was just mother instincts. She sighed, mixing the chocolate mix. They had staff to cook but she couldn't seem to shake the habit, kicking out some of the kitchen staff so she could have room to work. She almost always made Kari and Tyran's aftertraining snack, having them take their baths and mend before coming down to the kitchen where she could talk with them.

She looked down when she felt someone grab her legs and she smiled fondly down at her youngest daugther, What are you up to, Miss Margo? She asked indulgently.

Marguerite bit her bottom lip, green eyes glittering with laughter, "Nothin'" She replied to her mother.

Really? Are you sure? Magnolia asked.

Marguerite nodded vigorously, "Can I have a sandwich, Mama?"

You may have one. Your brother and sister need to eat when they are cleaned up.

"Was Papa throwing them around again?" Margo asked.

Magnolia laughed, Yes, I expect so. She replied.

"I'm going to see what Papa is doing." Margo informed her, obviously not hungry enough not to be distracted. She scampered off before Magnolia could tell her that maybe she should wait for her father to settle down a bit. She supposed it wouldn't have mattered, Marguerite idolized her father to the extreme.

"Dearest mother." Came a smooth young voice behind her. Magnolia blinked and glanced back to see her twins. She raised a dark brow and eyed the two fo them.

"No."

She surpprsssed laughter when she saw them deflate.

"We haven't even told you--"

"--what we wanted!" They said.

"You will eat lunch and then you may have brownies. The bowl if for your father." She replied.

"Awwwww...." The twins moaned together.

Merlin blinked and looked up and around just in time to see Vincent disappear into one of the shadows of her office. She blinked and tilted her head. She returned her attention to the bills, she was almost finished, just....a few....last....touches, there! One side of her mouth curled up in satsifaction and she shut down the system, filing the hard copies away and turning to return to their rooms. She moved to the closet, going straight for her new dress. She smiled as she slipped it on, having taken a shower about an hour before returning from one of her absences. The dress was long, black, and asian style. The buttons were dark red along with the generous, billowy sleeves.

The dress was fitted, showing off her curves, and had a long split up the side. She chose fishnet stockings just to drive Vincent up the wall during the meeting and shiney black eff-me pumps. She ran the comb through her hair, lettting it fall loose and painted her lips a dark lucious red. A little eyeshadow and she was all set, her long dark lashes, not needing any mascara. As a last touch, Merlin snapped on a gold anklet making sure it was on the ankle that was exposed by the split of her dress. She gave herself a look in the mirror, satsified she turned and entered her office, instead of going out the door, she turned into the shadow she'd seen Vincent exit through and followed suit.

((Holly flipping cows.. scarlett your going to make my posts look like little babies... T.T))

Bell smiled and hugged Jen, "You sure you want to leave?"

"I really have no reason to be here, you have Troden now."

Bell pushed a hair out of Jen's face and grabbed her hands, "If you need anything... anything at all you know-"

"Yes sister, I'll come home to you and your... husband." She shook her head and laughed, "Tell him goodbye for me."

"Wow."

"Wow what?"

"No smart alack comment."

Jen laughed and kissed Bell on the forehead, "Bye, I love you." With that her white wings flung open and she leapt into the air slowly disappearing.
Bell sighed, turning and walking toward the building.

Green eyes shimmered as she watched the female vanished and Troden sitting on the throne. Her eye brown shot up and a smirk slid across her face. "Well who looks whose super busy." She walked steadily in the room. She stopped in front of the man. "By the way, Jen says bye." She glanced around the room and then walked a little closer laying her hands on Troden's shoulder and rubbing them softly.

Tyran slowly moved out of the bathroom and lightly knocked upon his sister's room, "Come in brother." the door slowly opened and closed with barely a click and hid the elf's footsteps comepletely. He watched as his sister finished cleaning her wounds and added bandages to her arm instead of a torn sleeve.

Silence filled the room for a moment before Tyran opened his mouth to speak since the elder sibling was preoccupied at the moment, "He trains us so hard and fights so fiercely...is because of before?"

The movements stopped as Kari turned around and looked at her brother, a small grin playing across her lips, "I was wondering if you remembered the past...yes I believe that is part of it, but we are his children reguardless of the past. He wants us to be strong, to be true rulers of our kind. Remember that Tyran and the past will mean nothing." she then sat upon the nearby table, wincing slightly as she accidentally put more weight upon her injured arm than she should have, "Needless to say, his training is painful, but effective."

He smirked slightly, his long brown locks (a trait from his mother) falling across his face, but as the memories came back, the smirk became a grin, "We truly got on his nerves in the realm of Signet didn't we..." a small bit of laughter was her reply, "I still wish to go back there. I have a promise to fufill."

"What's stopping you?"

"Our father's anger."

"Talk to mother about it. She'll calm him down enough to let you go."

Tyran looked at his sister for a long time before standing up and moving towards the door, a small wave his only thnak you before leaving.

Meanwhile, a very unreproachable looking elf walked into the palace, his blades fading away as he watched his youngest child run towards him, the usual frosty glare given to everyone melting slightly in response, Stop running Marguerite; there is no need to do so within your own home. he greeted, an eyebrow arching, Where is your mother? I need to speak with her before I go...

--

"Where are they?" an annoyed Vincent asked as he waited quietly within one of the many meeting rooms in City Hall. Only two of the other Leaders were there as well as a good bit of the human leaders who were either nervously eating all the snacks there or sitting down, "Should be here by now..."

Yes, he was notoriously known for being late, but the few times he was actually early he expected the same from his comrades not matter how hypocritical those thoughts were. But when Merlin appeared, all of those thoughts made a temporary detour. Ignoring the others, he moved towards her and lightly kissed her hand before pulling her close to him, "Do you want me to cut this meeting short before it even begins?" he murmured, the amusement hiding his desire cleverly, "You look simply ravishing my dear."

Obsidian didn't seem to be sharing his excitement at the moment. She was extremely quiet, standing in the parlor, staring out the window up at the angry grey sky. The sudden rain was starting to slack off and would probably disappear all together. Rain had not been in the forcast for today. Black eyes narrowed on the lumbering clouds before she realized that Seth was back and talking to her. She blinked out of her reverie and looked at him then grinned wrapping her arms around his neck, "He nearly had a coronary. There's a portal that connects to the palace. It's in the kitchen but mother said that he could only use it in emergency's. You should have seen the look she gave him." She laughed.

Merlin smiled slyly, watching him kiss her hand. The soft touch sent ripples up her arm, down her spin and made her legs feel a bit watery. She managed to stay standing, "I felt like teasing you a little today, is all." She murmered, letting her free arm circle his waist as he pulled her close. She fit perfectly right there against him, "Careful or you'll get too excited." She added her voice barely audible.

Marguerite stumbled to a halt, But how will I get to you faster if I do not run? His daughter replied even as she walked the remaining distance to him. She hugged his legs and beamed up at Dorien, Mama is in the kitchen making brownies. She made lunch for Kari and Tyran too, Mama said you were throwing them around again. She added. Marguerite had inherited her looks from her mother but as it turned out, she'd inherited deafeness from her father. She'd learned to speak normally, and she was proficient at reading lips and she developed her mind voice earlier than her siblings as well to accomadate for her handicap.

((Lol! Sorry, not sure what happened there....))

Seth chuckled lightly, but it was short lived as his curiousity shown through, "Although I would love to hear all about your mother's famous death gares turned on your dear old dad, I am more curious about that you had just now. Care to open up your thoughts?" Ah yes, he still was acutely aware of things even in his excitement. There wasn't much that slipped by him...not counting this surprise.

--

"A little you say? If this counts as a little, then this meeting would never start if you went all out..." he answered, tightening his grip only slighlty before he had the good sense to back away before did indeed cut the meeting short. That was certainly a low blow Merlin... he murmured as he led her towards the nearest leaders.

That is the point Marguerite... Dorien answered, slowing to a stop as she wrapped her arms around his legs. He was so used her actions that he didn't even tense up as he usually did when touched, and with the statement of Tyran and Kari literally thrown into her information, it made things easier, Throwing them around is useless for training, but cutting them to shreds is a different matter. said the Leader, comepletely disreguarding te fact that is was most likely said as a joke and talking about cutting someone to shreds with a ten year old was not exactly a wise choice of parenting. If your mother has once again decided to cook, then you probably haven't eaten. Let go and get moving. he finished, the smallest of smirks appearing upon his face.

And as father and daughter were on their way to the kitchen, Tyran had already entered the area, his wounds bandaged and still healing since Dorien decided to put extra emphasis on how he needed to speed up today, "Hello mother," he said as he walked in, eyeing the twin suspicioiusly before settling beside her, "I need to speak with you for a moment. Are you almost done?" It was strange for him to be speaking with Magnolia after all they had been through, the memories of the past were already strong in his heart and he saw her as his mother and close friend and respected her for the patience of actually keeping Dorien without dying. He was the Leader's own son and was nearly killed on multpile occasions in the past and now.

Kari sauntered in soon after sporting her own bandages and a rather revealing outfit (in picture) that she only got away with because she was older and the various cuts on her legs wouldn't stand for much fabric upon them. She smirked slightly as she saw Tyran near their mother, but only lanced their way before ruffling up both of the twin's heads in passing, "How fast did she shoot you down when you asked about the bowl?" she asked as she sat down, crossing her legs and waiting for their answer, "In five or ten seconds?"

The twins shot Kari identical glares, "We didn't even get the question out." They replied simultaneously, folding their arms and looking sullen.

Magnolia glanced back at her oldest son and smiled, sliding the pans of brownies into the oven to bake, closing them then setting the timer. She turned, straightening, "Alright, then." That was aimed at Tyran. Dorien had named his firstborns and it was only after she'd recovered a bit from the childbirth that she realized why, recognizing Tyran even as an infant, Kari as well. Her thoughts had flown to Goldie then, that poor woman had been devestated when Tyran disappeared....now she was frightfully older than him. She pressed her lips together remebering how'd she'd ripped Dorien a new one at how he'd treated Goldie in her grief. It had been a long time since then and she loved all of her children immensely. She distributed kisses, dropping kisses on her twins' heads then one on Tyran then hesitated as she took in Kari's outfit, "What's this?" She gestured at what she was wearing, not at all looking pleased.

Holding her father's hand and walking quickly next to him, she craned her neck up and wrinkled her nose, Wouldn't that be messy? She asked curiosly, You'd get blood all over the place! It's such a bother getting those stains out. That's what mother says.

Obsidian's eyes became wide and innocent, "Why, whatever are you talking about?" She asked, tilting her head, adding to the illusion. She needed a distraction, her suspicions hadn't been justified, she didn't want Seth unduly worried, she'd investigate later, "Let's break in the house." She suggested, slipping away from him, swinging her hips emphatically as she made her way to the stairs, "Shall we start with the bedroom. The bed's new, we'll need to work out that squeak." She giggled and took off up the steps.

Merlin felt a twinge of regret when he finally released her. It was the best thing to do, however, she was feeling the edge of her self control already, might as well stick with teasing. She grinned after him, settling gracefully into a chair and crossing her legs, making sure to advertise a her shapely leg clad in her fishnet, she let out a soft purr, That comes later, my love, patience...

Aurora launched herself at Vincent landing on his back and wrapping her arms around his neck. She grinned over at Merlin, "Wow, Merlin, you look sexy. Are you messin' with Vincent? That's awesome!"

Merlin chuckled, "Aurora, you're going to strangle him." She replied.

Aurora blinked as if she were puzzled as to what Merlin was referring. She looked over at Vincent and started as if just realizing he was there....and she was on his back. She grinned at Vincent, "Doesn't Merlin look hot? When I grow up--" She paused and frowned, "Oh wait....." She giggled and dropped down, landing lightly. She scampered over to Merlin and planted a light kiss on the other woman's cheek, "Lotan said we can visit the club this weekend. It's a date, he doesn't know." She murmered confidentially.

Merlin laughed at that, "Do you have a song request. We can play it when you come."

Aurora's eyes widened, "That's a brilliant idea! I'll have to think on it now...." She frowned abruptly, "I wonder what would be a good one...." Aurora wandered off in consternation.
