If you were lost, you aren't anymore. Please, won't you have a seat? Let us welcome you to one of few, one of the last of the ancient hanamachi. A geisha district with a joint ochaya, or teahouse. Can you feel it? The bustling of the guests? The freshly perfumed maiko here and there? Or how about the graceful and magnificent geisha as they move like lionesses on the street, stalking from one party to another?

It's true you know. The era of the most educated and talented entertainers has come and gone. Geisha institutions have yielded to the times and declined; fading away for centuries.

Naturally, the people of this community do appear outside of their new home. Yet only for the sake of purchasing food, clothes, accessories and of course, to entertain their many patrons.

The Gion Baraen is a place where the Geisha of old, feudal Japan live. It's a place where the world of beauty and art are as alive as ever. This is a place where wit and harmony come as second nature.

Won't you join us?

~Sincerely, the staff of Gion Baraen.
