Who is Lupin, you ask? Lupin is the greatest thief to ever live. Quick reflexes, exact calculations, and a flair for a big bang, Lupin has graced Japan with his presence since 1967. Think of him like a super-spy, calling his own shots.
He's not the only attraction, though.
-He has the beautiful, curvy and dangerous Fujiko as his rival/partner in the business.
-Mafia-like Jigen is his closest friend and deadly ally. Jigen has the capacity to draw his gun in 0.03 seconds and can shoot a bull's eye anytime he pleases.
-Like swords? Then, you'll also like Lupin's nextr partner in crime, a serious and highly trained samurai who goes by the name of Goemon. He moves quicker than the human eye and can slice near anything with his katana, the Zantsuken.
-Last, but certainly not least, Interpol Inspector Zenigata. The man who has devoted his life to capturing Lupin. Having spent most of his life chasing the master thief, he can easliy get overly excited...However, he's smarter than he appears, and is always one step behind Lupin.
Lupin and the gang have a magical quality that have given them 5 movies, three TV series, a TV special every year since 1989 (20 and still goin' strong!), a live- action movie, and three OVAs. Lupin first appeared in 1967, so this makes him the longest running anime of all time*. Lupin and the gang are national icons in Japan.
