You enter a spacious rotunda. The ceiling, three stories above your head, is a beautiful rosette of glass and copper. The walls consist of panels of marble alternating with panels of mahogany and ebony. The floor is made of marble slabs, laid out in a pattern similar to the roof's rosette. In the center of the floor there is a large round insignia featuring a dove of peace.

It is an imposing room that fills you with awe. The size and grandeur of the room make you feel slightly less imposing yourself.

A guard approaches you respectfully, welcoming you to the Center. He explains that high-tech devices planted in the entrance have disabled all weapons immediately. He then hands you a small device and asks you to strap it to your wrist. This device, he explains, is a special force-field that will protect you from harm throughout the negotiations. The device is affectionately nicknamed the "banhammer." The guard then gestures to a nearby usher, who conducts you to the conference room

The conference room is a marked contrast to the entrance hall. Here, plush carpet, velvet draperies, and muted colors soothe and relax you. The lighting is softened here, too, but still ample. There is a large round table in the center of the room. Everyone who sits at this table will have equal status. The usher shows you to the refreshments table, which will be stocked at all times, invites you to help yourself to whatever suits your taste. She bows, and exits the room.
