Many may not like this pairing because of the age gap and considering the fact that they are student and teacher. Still, I will give you my view of it.
Kakashi saw Sasuke different than Naruto. He saw himself in Sasuke and wanted to help him. Kakashi dedicated more time to understand, train and help Sasuke overcome his shattered self and did his best in being there for Sasuke and showing him that he isn't alone anymore. Kakashi treated Sasuke like a brother and/or son. He became the father and brother Sasuke never really had.
So, you can see this pairing as a brother-father-son relationship or as a yaoi pairing. Or just join if you like either character since we'll have discussion about them individually as well.
