This month marks a pretty big event in the video game world and its effects may have begun to already show, for this month marks the end of the Playstation 2. That’s right, after March there will be no games will be made for the PS2 and how this affects Sony may have already began to take its toll. The PS2 is a great and always will be a great console, no one can take that away, even with its so-so online modes and slow start up the PS2 has proven itself in these years and has left with one of the best game libraries I have seen in a long while. But as much as a success story that the PS2 was, it’s newer upgrade console, the Playstation 3, hasn’t been doing to well at all and Sony fans and creators are running low on excuses. But as we look to the end of the PS2, I highly suggest Sony takes what they got from this system and apply the formula to the current PS3; make classic games, 2D games, gameplay over graphics. I personally feel that if Sony released some games like Disgaea and King of Fighters that it would be doing a lot better, cause as impressive as Motor Storm is, I’m still not going to dish out the dough for it.
MindMage: Has been hell of a busy and is trying to soak in as many hours of video game playing as he possible can, luckily for him he was lent a PSP, even more lucky is the fact that he was also lent some great games for the PSP such as Guilty Gear Judgment and Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade. Lucky guy, I guess it really is March.
Fire_of_the_Dawn: Is very busy with things and has been making a lot of clothing and costumes. But she still finds the time to save the day, from the mystic and magical land of Ivalice in Final Fantasy XI or by capturing and rounding up cuccos in Ocarina of Time. And she kicks a** in Crazy Taxi, true story.
Ultimo: Is enjoying the last month of the PS2 to the max, especially with games like Lumines and God Hand. But like all of us here at TMGG, he has been really busy with life and other things, he just recently got into play guitar. No not Guitar Hero, he has already mastered that, thank you very much.
Skunch: Well I don’t know where he’s been out of late, ever since 4 and 7 came into his life no one has seen or has heard of the Skunch. If you have any information regarding this young fellow please tell me as soon as possible, I need to face him again in Street Fighter 3:Third Strike and Tekken 5. Oh, and he owes me a dollar.
Fia_Nari: I don’t think he has dropped his PSP ever since he’s got it last December, and after getting FIFA 07 and a couple of Robert Rodriguez UMD movies things have just gotten worst. Fia is now looking for a way to play his PSP on a large screen with an endless power source, PSP has taken him over.
Greetings all and a big welcome to the Mind Game Guild. The main mission or goal of this particular guild is to unite gamers who want to make deep discussions concerning the world of video games and all that falls into it, and also to connect Canadian gamers and more importantly gamers from Toronto and Ontario. It’s about time we had topics on the important stuff rather than who is stronger than who, we can also help one and other out with tips, codes and secrets. All systems and gamers welcomed, but have an open mind on things as best as you can possibly can and no flaming or insulting, were a community so let’s act like one. However, if you feel the need to not use your brain to it’s max potential and/or make really bad topics, maybe you should find some other place to stay at. I think I have outlined everything needed to be said and most important rule, just have a good time and be proud of being a gamer.
