David Bowie is the ultimate rock chameleon. From his early music-hall vaudeville pop, to the ultimate figurehead of glam rock, Bowie has tackled seemingly every music style bar opera and death metal - and there's still time to give those a shot. Never has a solo artist so boldly stradled genres, creating a patchwork quilt back catalogue that still carries an unmistakable and easilly identifiable feel - you may be listening to the mid 70s 'Philly Soul', the 1980s stadium pop rock, the industrial experimentation a decade later, or even David's stab at drum n bass, but the result is still clearly David Bowie.

This then, is the official guild to discuss Bowie and all his works - his music, his movies, his art in general, and all who have collaborated with him. For while Bowie is the figurehead of the guild, non-David discussion is very much welcomed - especially about artists in a similar mould - T.Rex, Queen, Brian Eno, Placebo, Marilyn Manson even... anyone as long as you feel it has substance and enough style to compare to the Davester.

So why the cost to join? Well, 20gold is hardly a bank-breaking amount, but it does mean two things. One - guilds with a cost don't tend to be as flooded with time wasters, so it should cut down on spam. Two - myself and the crew had to raise a lot of funds to get this place opened, and it'd be nice to be able to give and get something back when gaia decide what they're doing with the Guild Accounts.
