Racoon City - a mild mannered mid-western American city. A city controlled by the Umbrella Corporation. Umbrella perates ruthlessly as a major international player in a number of markets including pharmaceuticals, medical hardware, defense, and computers along with more clandestine operations utilizing genetic engineering and bioweaponry. It also contributes to over 50% of Racoon City's economy, providing thousands jobs every day.

The horror began on September 29th, 1998. Little is known on the details, but it is widely believed that Dr. William Birkin, a scientist affiliated with the Unbrella Corporation, Released the T-Virus in the Racoon City sewer system, which spread rapidly and uncontrollably through the city.

Now, undead monsters roam the streets, feeding on the flesh of the living. Humans are the most widely affected, but animals seem to be common victims as well, adopting the usual agressive and feral traits that come with the virus.

Racoon City has been declaired a dead zone, and Umbrella has sealed all the exits in the town to prevent spread of the virus. The Racoon City police department has set up road blocks and with the help of Umbrella's private military, they attempting to push the undead back away from the center of the city. However, due to the Zombie's overwhelming numbers and unwillingness to die, the RPD road blocks are beginning to crumble, allowing Zombies to pour in from all directions.

Racoon City is no longer safe. The infected are spreading like wildfire, and the number of uneffected people are dwindling. You must find a way out of Racoon City and to safety, fighting past waves of undead and infected. This is Survival Horror, this is Survival: Racoon City.

Characters

The RP calls for unique characters that come from various backgrounds and professions. Combining different skills and working together will allow characters to survive where others could not. It is encouraged to allow your character to did from time to time; when this occurs, you can simply draw up a new character and link up with the group. This is not nessesary, but it will add to the overall effect of the RP.
