Welcome to a safe haven where literacy is a must. Are you tired of the illiteracy in the normal Gaia forums or possibly in other guilds? Are searching for a place where your opinions are heard? A place with all these things and where you can still role play? Well, in that case, you have come to the right place. There are also out of character threads for you to post in should you so desire to.
Now, are you wondering what the catch is? Isn't there always a catch? Well, there is in this case. I will need a paragraph, with a minimum of five sentences, showing me your role playing or writing skills. I want your stay here in The Safe Haven of Refuge to be fun and for that to be possible, literacy is a must. So, get writing and send in a join request with the paragraph!
Now, I know nobody really likes rules, but this world would be utter chaos if there were no rules, so rules there shall be. I do not want this place to be chaos. So, onto the rules.
arrow There will be no godmodding in this guild. I don't care how powerful your character is. You can still be harmed. You can still be hit. If it comes to it, you can still die. I mean, just look at Superman. He had a weakness, he could die. Even if you are in a role play where you are a god or goddess, you can still die out. No Mary-Sues. No auto-hits, auto-dodges, or anything like that.
arrow No excessive cursing. Every now and then is okay, but not every other word. I mean, really? That is just plain retarded and shows you have no vocabulary. At least, that is how I would take it.
arrow No cybering. If you want characters to kiss or hook up, that is fine, but if it is going to go farther than hugging or minor kisses, take it somewhere else. And by somewhere else, I do not mean PMs or another thread. Take it off Gaia completely. It is not allowed in this guild or Gaia period. I do not mind a little romance. Just nothing heated.
arrow Violence and gore. Go as heavy as you want with it. I guarantee you cannot gross me out with it. And I do not have a problem with gore. Just keep in mind to not godmode.
arrow Be polite. If you are going to have a full blown argument, please do not have it here. I want this to be a fun environment. If someone is acting inappropriately, and breaking the rules, let one of the the Crew know. They will be given a warning. If they persist, they will be banned. Try and handle things at the lowest level possible.
arrow Activity. Okay. This is going to be one of my biggest rules. This place has died a couple times before because people became inactive. Activity is a MUST. I will be doing activity sweeps once a month, to start off with. You must have made at least 50 posts in that month to be considered active. It won't be that hard people. It really won't. If I see that you are not meeting the quota, then I am going to send you a PM asking why. I will have a thread up that will be meant for posting when you are going to be absent and for how long and when you are expecting to return. USE IT.
arrow Crew members are the only ones allowed to post threads. If you are a member, and you would like to post a thread, PM first. I may okay it, I may not. If you have an idea, there will be a thread for those. Role-play ideas, guild ideas, etc.
