Welcome to the Black Vargus Galaxy of 8-Bit Theater! We hope you enjoy your membership and time in the world, for only then would you find happiness; and if not happiness, then rage to take your weapons and bash, stab, or slash whom you are enraged by! Take your time to look around. We will be having 8-Bit Theater discussions about the latest comic strips, fanfictions, fanart, fanpoetry, fan...whatever the hell floats your boat. We will also have, perhaps, roleplays, and one big official roleplay in this guild. Have fun, and please do pop in.

The HADOKEN! Guild

The guild was named so after Black Mage's practice in Black Magic, and Fighter's training in Fighters Camp under the teachings of Vargus, the ultimate swordsman whom he trained under all his life. This represents the existence of physical matter and incorporeal matter -- otherwise magic or change -- which interact in the fantasy world of 8-Bit Theater, weaving either destruction or gift. Now, the name seems to imply only ill chaos. This is not the case.
The Black of the so-named galaxy, otherwise most specifically naming Black Magic, actually stands for all magic. It represents both White and Black Magic, along with the rumored Blue Magic, and any other types of magic that may have taken form. Magic is a dangerous element to reality, as it is not exactly what one would call physical to touch as flesh is. Magic is known to affect what it usually touches, and so it is often thought to be used on the balance of Chaos. Chaos itself may be a mere term, as Black Mage insists, but Chaos generally is the negative effects that were given to this reality. Some even think Chaos is basically something that one cannot touch, cannot reach, but it affects them all the same. White Magic may be able to heal, but as it is magic, it is thought to be a part of "Chaos". This is the same for fire and forthwith.
Vargus represents physical being, basically meaning something you can change without the use of magic. Physical beings include humans and water. The physical can contact one another with touch and other forms of communication, be it considered alive or not. The physical state of such existences is what gives them the ability to control themselves, maintain themselves, and maintain others. This would be considered to be on the Order side of the balance. Order, yet another term, generally defines balance and control of oneself or a certain area within the named location. As much war has been wrought by swords, axes and hammers, "Order" is actually just balance of oneself, and it can be easily manipulated by someone who has lost that control of themself. It can just be as easily reclaimed if the disorderly being is overthrown from their position.

Questions and Answers

Inquiry - Why must things be so complicated?
Reply - Because, dear friend, our universe is widely expanded.

I - Why is there an entry fee?
R - As Thief said, "Money makes the world go 'round, the world go 'round, the world go 'round..." Even though I cannot recall if that was in an official episode.

I - Will the updates be up-to-date?
R - Did you not look at the date of the guild's foundation and recent replies to recent threads?

I - What's with the character titles?
R - When the time is right, a member can gain an official 8-Bit Theater title. But Fighter and Red Mage are obviously taken.

I - Can we really trust any chancellors?
R - As long as they're not dark elves, you willnot be fine.

I - I see some of the sprites aren't Final Fantasy I. What are they?
R - Final Fantasy IIIj. That's not a typo.

I - I got Hadokened! You jerk, let me back in the guild!
R - Alas, the whispers of the exiled continue to ring in our ears. Ah, but perhaps there was a mistake? Let's talk fairness with fairness...and if not, fairness with a lot of money.
