Rather than classifying the entire Guild as a place for one sort or the other, Wolf's Waffle is meant to be a relaxing, social friendly atmosphere for all creed, orientation, fur color, and shoe size. Both in character and out of character. Sort of like the public forums in Gaia.

The only thing patrons need to have in common is respect for others. And the only rules enforced here are those of general courtesy. If you're a naturally civil person, then that shouldn't be much of a problem. Though a lot of people have grown used to the bitter social politics and snide elitism that has become the mainstream of Gaia. This sort of behavior is more specifically described below, and will not be allowed at Wolf's Waffle.

Another thing we insist on: You must put a poll on each thread you make. Polls are fun, sometimes insightful when they do not involve chuck norris, and a good way to pass the time or count how many people have been to your particular thread.


[ heart ]Assholery:
Assholery is bluntly defined as the conscious attempt to harm, annoy, or otherwise negatively effect an individual or the atmosphere of Wolf's Waffle as a whole. Specific examples include but are not limited to: Starting silly arguments, baiting people, god modding/outrageous boasting, being a whore, forcing socially embarrassing posts on another person, or following individuals around whilst persisting in certain actions with them after being asked to stop.

Wolf's Waffle staff has a zero Assholery tolerance, and assholes (technical term, really) who display the conscious desire to cause harm or social discomfort to others will be banned with little to no warning.

[ heart ]Being Civil:
Even if you disagree with another gaian or Wolf's Waffle staff member, there is no reason to engage in name-calling, slander, or other demonstrations of anger. This behavior not only weakens your own position, it also makes those not involved in the conflict unhappy. And will not be allowed in this dream.
Believe it or not, it is possible to disagree with someone -and even outright not like them very much- without having to call public attention to it, and still maintain a polite and fair face. We expect Wolf's Waffle's patrons to be polite and mature with those they do and do not like, and assume they are capable of handling themselves civilly in public.

[ heart ]Communication and Consideration:
Related to the above is the ability to civilly communicate with others.

At Wolf's Waffle we place a strong emphasis on the laid back atmosphere, where people are free to relax however they relax best - be it talking with friends, role-playing, or goofing off. This of course means some social groups are bound to clash. And we expect that they can settle their differences maturely without instigating belittling comments, backhanded rumor spreading, juvenile eye-rolling, or other needless and provoking behavior.

Two simple things make this possible.

1 Communicate: Ask your fellow gaians of your needs. If you want to be alone and not bothered, then ask. If you'd like someone to stop talking in capitalization, then ask. But ask politely. ("Can you please take your dumb twink newbie asshat ugly bad role-playing face somewhere far away from here?" would not be an example of asking politely.)
2 Consideration: Likewise, if someone asks you to do something, be considerate and either do it or take it elsewhere. Don't take it personally if someone asks you not to talk of a specific subject or if you can stop doing something that's bothering them. Either stop or take it elsewhere!!

As well, be considerate even if people don't ask things of you. If you believe what you're talking about/role-playing may be bothering others (talking in great detail about how your day went to a friend in a heavily crowded area, or making extremely long posts that don't involve other people) it would likely be best to move to a less crowded forum of the guild.

And yes, that means Wolf's Waffle is a PG-13 Guild. That does not mean that's -all- this dream is about. Everywhere beyond a private forum is open to the public, and while individuals wishing to participate in their own private world roleplay or conversations are free to do so at any of the secluded areas around Wolf's Waffle, content that may be extremely offensive or annoying (sex and fighting for example) should either be taken to a private forum, another guild, or your own private messages. Note that there are no arenas or public orgy rooms at Wolf's Waffle. Thank God.

If you have any serious complaints about a member, staff or otherwise, that cannot be directly resolved with them personally, then PM Tsume Grey, Lokivia, or Deziko with whatever evidence might be available and an explanation of the complaint.
