Go deep into the story of to vessels, plagued by the same infection, and unsatisfyingly trapped with no escape. The USG Krios was sent in hopes to find the Ishimura, before all the madness would begin. The vessel unfortunately is locked down by the military due to their vessel, the fabled USM Hydra, having discovered that the ship is in illegal space and should not be traveling. When nothing could hinder them any more, a fierce bang hits the side of the ship and the Krios suddenly has meandering life from space infiltrating and infecting their ship. What could be worse. But oh well, this is Dead Space.

I can't take it... all this time, I have been trapped in here. I can't believe this is happening. We were just walking down for lunch when we heard something... something hit the ship. Oh God, what was there? Then the air vents, they started clanging and breaking down more and... more often. Can this get any worse? I have to stay calm, I have to stay calm. I will get through this. All the doctors though are dead! All those soldiers that boarded us. They... they must have brought something, no... it was from the outside. All of them were ripped apart before my eyes. Then the Hydra went mad and... oh God what is happening? I have to run... can't let them get to me...
