The crew of the Atlas, running out of resources after its lengthy stint orbiting earth's atmosphere -- following war, and a series of natural disasters -- returns to Earth's surface for the first time in three generations. The current inhabitants of the ship have never seen Earth before except from the windows of their mobile space station far above it. Little do they know, quite a lot has changed from the stories their grandparents told them. Not all of it for the better. The Earth's surface is survivable, however it boasts a new set of horrifying creatures, acid rains, and an unnerving tribe of survivors. Not to mention, a rat in their midst that causes the death of a handful of passengers in their less than pleasant descent to the surface.
