In a land far, far away, located roughly six thousand miles away from the continent of Ishgar, lies the seemingly forgotten continent of Veneficium. A magical place split into seven different Kingdoms, each with its own rules and lifestyles, and a population of roughly 16 million.
As one would expect, Magic plays a strong part in the every day lives of the citizens here. Although unlike Fiore, roughly 80% of the population of Veneficium is able to utilize what we know as "Magic". Whether it be through the sheer destructive force of Magic itself, to Magic Items, or even other different arrays of sorts. Although many forget of its existence, due to it having been cut off from the world for the last one thousand years. Only recently has it reopened once more, to allow those from the outside to join its population.

𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓽𝓸𝓻𝔂
Veneficium was founded about three thousand years ago, as a huge continent, instead of the shattered "islands" it has become today. The man that founded it became the King of this continent, and kept peace reigning for many years. But it wasn't until the founding of the Church of Cielos and the Church of Gerges that things began going downhill. Crazy zealots took control of the two churches, managing to find a way to summon their Gods into our world. They were successful, and this was when the continent was split into many pieces. The Gods were angry with the ones who claimed to worship them, and as such, split the seven races that lived in Veneficium into seven different Kingdoms. Their work done, they proceeded to return to where they had come from. The King at the time decided to take matters into his own hands, and helped his people to establish seven new Kingdoms, one in each major country. This was the beginning of The Seven Kingdoms of Veneficium, and the first High King. While the two churches remained, they were to be kept under strict control by the High King himself, to make sure such things never happened again.
Fast forward to about five hundred years ago, and an evil Mage whose name has been lost to time tried to overthrow the High King, alongside seven of his faithful followers. These followers were terrible criminals, each of whom attempted regicide in one of the Seven Kingdoms. They were, of course, unable to overthrow the High King, and eventually lost. But instead of killing them, they were instead cursed with immortality with the help of Cielos, and thrown into the darkness of The Abyss, with the help of Gerges. Of course, it wasn't long after this that the Cults began to appear. Cults who had one goal in mind; to bring back the Seven Generals and overthrow the Kingdoms for their own gain. Yet recently, it seems these seven Cults have formed into a single Cult, known simply as the "Galaxia Cult". The man whose name was lost to history... the Galaxia Mage. To bring him back would bring back the Seven Generals. But to bring him back, would also likely bring about the end of the world.
And now, with the recent assassination of the High Royalty, the entirety of Veneficium has gone crazy. Each of the Rulers of The Seven Kingdoms is attempting to take the throne, and are threatening war with the other countries in order to achieve this goal. The Churches of Cielos and Gerges are once again attempting to bring their Gods back to the world, despite what happened around two thousand years ago. And the rise of the Cults has reached numbers thought to have once been impossible. And now, with everything else going on, even the Legal Guilds are being treated as "rebellions" against the Royalty, and being threatened with either disbanding, or being labelled criminals and killed. And from the sidelines, the Galaxia Cult watches as everything crumbles, each day coming one step closer to reviving their own "God".
