In ancient times, where was said to be one Pokemon. A legendary Dragon pokemon that was used by twin heroes to create the Unova region. When the two heroes began to fight over what they wanted in life, the dragon split itself into two separate Dragon pokemon. The Fire Dragon of Truth: Reshiram, and the Electric Dragon of Ideals: Zekrom. But with the dragons equal in power, the brothers set their rivalry aside, only for their sons to continue. The battle destroyed the Unova region and the dragons disappeared soon after. However, there is a third dragon...Kyurem. There are many mysteries surrounding this pokemon, but Dragon Master Drayden of Unova claims the truth is that Kyurem was created from the "leftovers" of the original Dragon Pokemon. This theory is supported as Kyurem can fuse with either Reshiram or Zekrom to fill its body with "truth or ideals". This is done through and item called the "DNA Splicers" and it's possible that maybe the original dragon can be formed this way too.

Now what does this old legend have to do with your journey? It turns out that under certain conditions, Pokemon can fuse with other Pokemon. It's a tough ability that can kill the pokemon that use it but in doing so can unlock great power!
