This is the continuation of Camp Half-Blood: Heroes After Percy Jackson. If you are not a member there, you must join that guild and spend one week in that guild actively RPing. I use that guild as a beta for whether or not you are welcome and the characters are simply being continued at one year from the current time of that guild.

The golden age of mankind, under the ruling of the Olympians, was prosperous in technology, violence, and fools. None were more foolish than a generous amount of the demigods. Demigods are the half-mortal children of the Greek gods, and the leader of the Olympians, Zeus, knew that there could not be interference in the demigods' lives. If there was interference, the demigods would be raised too abnormally to function in society with mortals, and the mist would not completely cover errors made with the knowledge of what they were from birth; they would have too much confidence, which would be their downfall. For better or worse, Zeus forced the gods and goddesses to lock themselves away from their children, offering a helping hand where needed but never interfering directly, and never speaking with the child unless they had to.

There were several pretentious demigods listed in the world who strove for their parents' pride, their attention. Some received it, as Zeus would occasionally grant a visit. Once Camp Half-Blood was established, the parents could visit more easily in a contained area. Several gods took advantage of this, and it was mostly the gods who had no kingdom to preside over. Apollo, Hermes, Aphrodite, and Athena were consistent visitors, though Aphrodite and Athena began to dwindle. Apollo was always considered the most frequent, even though any Greek god could enter the boundaries. Dionysus was forced to oversee the camp when more modern times came along, as he was chasing after a nymph that Zeus claimed was off-limits.

Through all of this, heroes rose. Percy Jackson is the most popular, and the most well-known. Shortly after Percy Jackson's death, many demigods were basking in the afterglow of his quests and wonderful changes to the camp; minor gods could easily claim their children now, and the Hermes camp was much less populous. It cannot be said, however, that all were happy. There were several demigods who still did not understand why their godly parents refused to take part in their lives, why they could not be considered better than the mortals. One demigod had been pushed to his breaking point when he arrived at the camp.

Shu Ji Chang, who was a son of Apollo, spent his entire life in the shadow of his little brother, Lee Taeyang Chang. The two of them were into song and dance, often impersonating the popular Korean pop group known as SHINee, though they delved into other dance styles. Shu was known more for his singing than his dancing, but the praise always fell on his cute little brother, who never had to work to obtain the attention that Shu craved. At one concert, Shu had noticed Hell Hounds pursuing the two of them, and when his mother was told, she rushed away with Lee to take him to safety, leaving Shu behind with the Hell Hounds. If it wasn't bad enough for the boy, the Hell Hounds left. Shu was alone. And he was angry.

Through his time at Camp Half-Blood, he learned that he and his brother were full siblings, a rare case where they were not twins. He also learned that his father visited his brother quite often, had danced with him in a competition, and other such things. He was very jealous, and very angry at his father for being ignored. He was ignored, again and again, and he snapped.

Getting together with demigods he knew he could manipulate, ones that he knew he could use or would support him, he came up with a plan. His plan was simple in theory, but the execution would be the real test. One by one, the gods who could threaten to destroy his plan were locked away. Shu and his "Generals," as he called them, took the godly powers and weapons from the gods they locked away, amplifying the weapons and absorbing enough power that they would no longer age, and so they could hold the weapons in question. Finally, there was one god remaining before they could take over Olympus...

Zeus.

The god who ruled caused more trouble than the others, but with the assistance of a full-blooded goddess on their side, they sealed him away, and all gods were out of his way. Sitting in Zeus' throne, Shu claimed Olympus as his own, and set to work in making the world his as well.

Those who did not support him were either killed or bound to serve them in one way or another. They destroyed Camp Half-Blood, and displayed their power by conquering all of the realms. A son of Poseidon took over the seas, holding Poseidon's son at bay with the Trident, and the son of Hecate who helped them took over the Underworld. Mortals who could see through the mist were soon being bound to slavery as well, and Shu was near the point of making all mortals serve.

One year exactly from the day that Shu and his team took over Olympus, we join the demigods, those for and against Shu. Will Shu forever be able to hold Olympus, or can the demigods who lost their godly parents come together and rescue the world once more?

That is for you to decide.

xxxxit's beautiful, the scenery so unearthly that Kathryn can't even clearly determine what exactly the place is. That description in itself, however, implies so very much.
Olympus, she breathed, looking around nervously for the one face she didn't want to see. Standing across from her was the black-haired boy whom she had run into, standing over Olympus like it was his own. A flash of white,

you seem to have a great endurance to pain, then. I heard your head hit the ground and you don't seem to have anything wrong with you. Regardless, I'll take away the pain that's there,
The voice is muffled, like background noise. She can't even register it. Then there is chaos. The beautiful structures are damaged, and demigods are swarming around. The gods are there, Kathryn can see, and she can only imagine just what has occurred. Standing high above her, facing off against an unfamiliar man, is the child of Apollo. As lightning begins to static through the air, Kathryn closes her eyes, covering her ears and screaming out loudly. She doesn't want to see it. She doesn't want to hear it. Even with her eyes closed, though, the image is still there. She doesn't get the choice. Her voice cracks as blood splashes across her vision.

xxxxThe setting has changed. Kathryn looks around, whirling to face the boy of around ten. He is at a desk, studying amorously. The room is neat, but far from clean - on the sparse but taller furniture, Kat can see a definitive layer of dust. She walks slowly, standing over the boy's shoulder and looking down. Under one hand is a dictionary, apparently a "Korean-English" one, and the boy tediously scribbles away. As she looks up, and out the window, the room pulls back away from her. There is a seconds boy, around five years old, and Kathryn assumes that this child is the infant from earlier.
in any case, I'm Jonghyun. And you are? ...Are you good?
Kathryn sees the brothers standing side by side. The younger child has a featureless adult hovering over him, praising him wordlessly with a hand on the head and a wide smile. The elder brother is ignored. Suddenly it feels as though there is motion everywhere, and the boys begin to grow slowly. As the flurry of movement shifts constantly in a jerky motion, Kathryn notes that the scene never changes. Even as the boys grow older, even as the adult changes, the younger brother is always being praised. A tear rolls down her cheek - what a lonely existence this child must have faced. Soon figures of shadow appear, swarming around the three figures. The children appear afraid, the adult worried.

xxxxThe younger boy is lifted by the adult figure, now a female with long hair, and is quickly carried away to safety. The boy who Kathryn now clearly recognized is left to face the monsters alone. For a moment the shadows pause, lingering around the boy as though they debate attacking, but in clumps they slowly follow after the woman and the other child. Now he really is alone. He stands expressionless, but echoing through Kathryn's mind is the sound of crying. It is a painful, heartfelt sound - it brings tears to Kathryn's eyes as well. She runs towards him, wrapping her arms around the form, which no doubt doesn't even recognize her existence. It doesn't matter. She has to do it anyways. Her vision fades out to black again.
