Hello, and Welcome to the Otherkin Alliance. (mostly consisting of Therians at the moment.) This is a place where people of the Otherkin Community can come together and share stories, start discussions, and talk about their successes and fears. Additionally, those people who do not consider themselves to be any form of otherkin are just as welcome to join our community.
What are Otherkin?
"Otherkin are those people who believe themselves to be spiritually and/or physically other than human. While mythological species (elves, satyrs, fairies, dragons, and so on) are widely accepted as being included under the term "Otherkin", many people in the community prefer to include aliens, vampires, therianthropes, extraterrestrial humans, and other nonhuman races. A mythological or literary equivalent is not necessary to be included under the "Otherkin" umbrella-term; there are types of otherkin that have not shown up in known legends or fiction (star-dragons, Elenari, etc.)"

What are Therians?
"Therians are people who believe that they are, in whole or in part, a non-human animal. That is to say that part of their core being is a non-human animal, be it spiritually, mentally, et cetera. Unlike furry lifestylers, therians do not necessarily try to outwardly project their animalistic nature, nor do they choose their animal side. They consider themselves to be an animal within, and do not generally give it a name, or use it as a game persona. "
