It’s the future. Year 2189. But this is a dystopian future. A war has shaken the world, killing ninety percent of the population and destroying almost all of the technology and knowledge. All has been lost in the final dropping of the bombs. Horse drawn carts ride along with hover cycles. All the wonderful technology has fallen into disrepair, and most have gone back to the old ways. Few pieces of technology remain in the hands of the people, and even fewer pieces of information. The world is in chaos. It has been fifty years since the great loss. The richest of all humans are the elder ones, those who retain the knowledge of the older days.

Vampires have been proven to exist, though they were ostracized. There are about a dozen Vampire cities spread out across the globe. Humans who visit are considered a food source, save the few given permission to work there. But these aren’t your conventional vampires. They don’t drink blood, they eat raw meat. A simple bite on the neck will NOT turn a human into a vampire. The only way to become a vampire is to be born as such. You may contract the Vampiric disease in infinite ways, many of which are unknown. You will not be affected, but your children will be born to the night.

Humans live in constant fear of attack from roving vapires. They live in their small towns, some living in the woods in an atempt to hide. They know next to nothing of the vampire world, and next to nothing of the power they themselves once held. They only hold to one fact as a certainty: They are dying out.

It is in this world where a vampire named Vladmir has taken control. He lives in a secret city, and from there issues his commands to the vampiric race. Some say no mortal can find his base, others say all who do are killed. In any matter, he has ruled longer than any can remember, and he does not seem to weaken in the least.

Vladmir has one rule above all.
